Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie Film POSILER FILLED Film Review

There are some movies that you know right away are just meant to sell toys and do nothing more then that. With the Paw Patrol franchise being a good example of this as all of the films have the characters get new upgrades that add nothing to the film over then to advertise the toys, well they have a new film out and as i've reviewed the other films in this franchise I thought that i'd talk to you all about this one and so then join me as I give you my SPOILER FILLED review of the film that is pretty much there just to sell the toys and nothing more then that with the film in question being called simply jut "Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie" enjoy.

The plot of this film is when the Paw Patrol find themselves stranded on an Island they discover that it's full of dinosaurs and they have to stop Mayor Humdinger's plan of mining the island for its resources. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually feat6ueed / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty OK at best. There's really no point in anyone getting upset over this films plot being as average as it is as it's a Paw Patrol movie therefor of course there won't be that level of thought put into it as they have these films down perfectly at his point. To give the films plot some credit you can tell that they are trying to make these films feel more like films and not just an extended episode of the show which was something that the first and to a lesser extent the second film did feel like with there plots whereas here it does kind of feel like that they are telling a story that could only be told on the big screen which is a good enough reason for any fans of this show to go and see this movie but that doesn't make the films plot good as it is still a generic plot and while that is something that will appease the parents of the three year olds that are watching this movie as the plot is about as safe as it can get giving a kids more mature plot is something that would help them alot more and could actually cause them to demand better films because of it and yet with this film film having this very thin plot as the film doesn't really focus on it's plot of the time it does feel like the makers of this film just didn't care about the plot of the film with this films plot not really being really rather entertaining and nor is it really rather engaging either in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Carter Young as Marshall , Mckenna Grace as Skye and Terry Crews as Alistair Stonewall. Also starring in this film is Meredith MacNeill as Harper Cutlass , Ron Pardo as Cap'n Turbot and Mayor Humdinger , Jennifer Hudson as Lilian Ledes and Hayden Chamberlain as Rex , Fortune Feimster as Eugenia Bunsen , Jameela Jamil as Heidi Pothesis , Bill Nye as Dr. Theo Rising , Paris Hilton as Nancy , Snoop Dogg as Dave , Henry Bolan as Ryder , Lucien Duncan-Reid as Rubble , William Desrosiers as Rocky and Nylan Parthipan as Zuma.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually feat6ueed / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty OK at best. Much like with the films plot you do get the feeling that the actors in this film alot of the time just aren't giving it there best as to the new actors or the actors that are just in the movies this is a film that they can show to there younger relatives and not something that they want to put there best effort into and yet with the actors crossing over from the series that's where you get to see alot of the effort as to them it's more then just a job to them it is there passion. With the best actor in the film being Carter Young as Marshall as even tho he's not reprising the role from the show he is is one of the few actors in this movie that does sound like he cares about the character and the film enough to try and turn in a good performance and while fair enough films like these Paw Patrol films are never going to get good acting in them the fact that he is trying to turn in a good performance and alot of the time does succeed does show that some of the actors in this film do care enough to go that extra mile with him using what ever natural charm he has to make Marshall someone who is usually seen as one of the teams comic relief now seem a bit more thought out with this being something that does come though in his performance in this film. With the acting that's int his film not really being helped by the fact that this films script is just so bad as it gives none of this films actors absolutely anything to work with interms of what i it is that there actual characters personalities are even meant to be in the first place which is something that really does harm the overall quality of the acting that's in this very film.

Doing the animation for this film is the legends and the greats that are currently overt at Mikros Animation. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually feat6ueed / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. To be frank this films animation was alot more better then what it really had any right to be as as this is still a Paw Patrol movie and while that might sound like a bad thing it's really not as no one expects there to be high quality animation from a movie that's aimed at three year olds and yet that's exactly what we get in this film with all of the films backgrounds looking really good and full of colour. With it being made clear as day that the makers of this film did have alot of fun with the designs for the characters as while yes granted the characters were designed very much with the toys in mind so much so that you can pretty much see the price tag on alot of the films settings and characters they are still good looking designs that work well for this film with all of the films characters having this kind of zippy movement which is something that does work for the films more comedic scenes as those do help to highlight the films comedy but it is something that does hinder the films action scenes as it makes them feel more tame with the films animation looking really cinematic and not like anything that they might have done in the show, with this being another good reason for the fans to watch this film as the films animation is huge step up from what they might have been doing in the show and yet it still does feel like the next episode of the show from an animation stand point.

SPOILERS START HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Much like the previous two film this film does pick one of the countless pups and makes them the main character of the film with the films "main character" in this case being Marshall. This is something that does make sense as he is a popular character with the films target audience but the film does nothing interesting with him as the main character as he just learns that same lessons that both Liberty and Chase learnt in the previous two films which is that's OK to be who you are and that's it and heck much like with Chase we even get a scene explaining why he was chosen to be in the Paw Patrol in the first place as while there were other pups that finished the course that Ryder had set up Marshall even tho he never finished the course came back to it at night and never stopped until to climbed this one obstacle as he never gives us. This is something that would have been more meaningful if we hadn't just had two movies where the characters go into there backstories in the exact same way and while we don't get to see what led to him wanting to become a member of the group like we did with both Chase and Liberty in the first two films the backstories for all three characters are so similar that you could swap them around and no one would be able to tell the difference, however to this films credit it doesn't make his backstory as emotional as Chase's was and it didn't really need to as it just needed to make it inspirational and while the message it pretty generic it is something that does work for what the character is going through at that time as his dinosaur friend is missing due to Marshall being clumsy and he does feel like the team would be better off without hi and therefor he would need a bit of a pick me up from all of that and that is something that his backstory does do.

For one reason or another this film once again uses Mayor Humdinger as the main villain and while that was fine for the first film as he is meant to be the Paw Patrol's main villain. He is however not there only villain as they do have other characters that could be used as villains in one of the movies like for example we have Sweetie who is someone who wants to steal royal things or there's The Copycat who has the power to steal others powers and while granted that might not work for a film as the films have largely ignored the second movie it doesn't change the fact that having the same main villain across all three films is getting dull and boring as there are only so many times that we can see him getting beat before he stops being a threat to the characters and starts being annoying to watch. Granted he was most likely only kept on as the main villain for this film as he is the groups more well known villain but The Joker is Batman's most well known villain and yet every single Batman film has a different villain for the character to face as that makes things more interesting to watch and yet here with these films they have the same villain and while yes the target audience for this film is alot more smaller then that of the average Batman film there still should have been a different villain used for this film as that is something that would have pushed the Paw Patrol in a more interesting way as now they would have to find something stronger inside themselves to beat this villain and if it's a newly created then even better as now it would feel like a threat to the team and yet the makers of this film chose instead to play it safe by having a a villain that they know works and give him a pretty decent plan which in this case is to mine the island for it's minerals and become rich off of them which is a good enough plan for a kids animated film.

As was mentioned at several point in the review this film is quite clearly only made to sell the toys as all of the pups gets new upgrades , new vehicles , new costumes and a new base of operations. With all of the upgrades that they got from the second movie being forgotten about and while it is understandable as to why they wanted to sell the toys with this film they didn't need to be this obvious with it as the film spends a good thirty seconds just showing us the upgrades that the pups get to the suits and in showing off each of there new vehicles whilst cartoons in the eighties and to a lesser extent the nineties were known as being adverts for there toys as well they were more subtle about it then what they are in this film. With it getting so bad in this film that you can pretty much just see the price tags on all of the characters and heck the film even introduces new characters who more then likely have there own toys coming out in Rex and his dinosaur friends a t-re and the pups them selfs even get a new dinosaurs friend all Rhubarb in the UK dib of the film and is called Radish in other dubs all of which are bound to have new toys made for them, the makers of this film really could have been more subtle about what toys it is that they are trying to sell as it is laughable about how it's done here as they spend alot of time in showing of he sets and in making sure that the films target audience once one that it does make you wonder why they didn't just have a bunch of the toys outside for the parents to buy them as it is that on the nose with where the priorities where when it comes to making this film as the film is that generic and boring.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and twenty three minuets and five seconds. This is pretty much the bogstandard running time for these films to be fair to this film the film isn't hurt by it but it's also not helped by it either as it is the running time that you would expect a Paw Patrol movie to have and while the film is alot more better in the first film in that it doesn't have a rescue scene every few minuets it also doesn't do anything to fully justify it being as along as it is as you very easily could have cut this film down by about ten minuets and lose noting important to the films plot as there's nothing to this films plot to really lose in the first place with the film having just about enough plot there to cover that amount of running time in the first place. Yet the film still doesn't really use it's running time all that wisely as the film doesn't take the time to fully develop it's plot with this being something that they very easily could have and done as while they do explain why both the Paw Patrol and Mayor Humdinger are on the island in the first place the film doesn't have both groups of characters meet until neat the end and even then it's only Marshall that meets him this is something that could have been used to add something literally anything to the films plot as the characters would now have t find away to convince him not to take the islands minerals and risk destroying the island with the makers of this film being more focused on making sure that all of the upgrades , vehicles and base of operations get shown off properly then they in giving us a well developed plot. The same thing is also true for the films characters as none of the films characters get any kind of character development with both Rocky and Zuma barely getting any lines of dialog in the film even Marshall who is the films main character doesn't really get any kind of character development with it being made clear as day that the makers of this film put more thought and effort into making this film as generic as possible then they di into giving the films characters actual character development but I really will admit that this film really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is a comedy that really does mean that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty OK at best. Much like with the acting and the plot of this film this film comedy is nothing more then OK at best and that's all it really needed to be as it didn't need to make me laugh it needed to make three years olds laugh and if they laughed at any of this films jokes ten great would it have been nice if there was some clever jokes in this film yes but it wasn't needed to make the target audience for this film laugh. With there not really a joke that could quite frankly be called the best joke in the film as alot of the films jokes to an adult won't be that funny but to a little kid would be a seen as being really funny like a alot of the jokes with Rubble having his snacks taken by some dinosaurs adults won't laugh at that running joke as as all of the characters aren't that well defined but the kids watching the film will find the running joke to be really funny as it's them that the film that was made for an unlike Ice Cream Man 2026 where there was one joke that I did manage a chuckle out of in this film I wasn't even able to raise a smile as alot of the films jokes are just the kinds of jokes that kids will find funny and given that the film was made more with them jn mind that makes sense but it still wouldn't have hurt the makers of this film to take the approach that alot of the classic Looney Tunes and even Tom And Jerry shorts would take where they would throw in smart jokes for the adults this is something that would make the film be something that you could then watch of two different levels once as a kid and then one again as an adult and still find out funny with the rest of the films jokes this average in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

SPOILERS END HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Overall it's a Paw Patrol movie now three films in you know what it is that your going to be getting as this film does just give you more of the same with nothing new or interesting added to it to make the films tired premise feel new but little kids might enjoy this film tho in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got al of the images hat I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from IMP Awards . Com and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images really from this very film being the really great Google Images this is really because of the fact that really all of the images that I really indeed got and really used from Google Images are all really high quality really with all of the images that really are all and of course really currently up and on the really great and the really solid Google Images really are all being really fairly high in quality and as well as them all really being fairly high in definition.
