Jurassic World Rebirth Film SPOILER FILLED Film Review

There are some franchises that just need to go away and rest for a while before coming with chief examples being Star Wars , Doctor Who and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Well there's actually another series that can be added to that list with it's latest installment just being released and well to be frank this franchise needs to be rebooted and so then join me as I give you my SPOILER FILLED review of the film that really nobody wanted nor was even asking for in the first place with the film in question being called simply just "Jurassic World Rebirth" enjoy.

The plot off this film is when it's discovered that they key a medical drug that could help humans out in the long term is hidden in dinosaur DNA a cover operations expert and a small team of people get trapped an island full of dinosaurs and have to find away to get themselves of the island before the dinosaurs get them. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty person ally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really bad. As this films plot not only takes a good while to get going but it's also a plot that's really weak as the film doesn't focus on it's plot of the time with the film instead choosing to focus all of its efforts on it's dinosaurs which is something that does make alot of sense as alot of people do come to see these movies to see the dinosaurs but at the same time there still needs to be some meat here and without a good plot to hold things up it won't matter how good the dinosaurs are because of the fact that your audience will be trying to work out why the characters are once again stuck on another island with this films plot as best being OK as there are glimpses of good ideas sprinkled all throughout the film however the makers of the film don't develop those idea or themes well enough to the point where you can get behind them with the only interesting part of the plot being one that gets dropped for literally no reason whatso ever with the plot of this film not even being really rather entertaining and as well as not really being really rather engaging either in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Scarlett Johansson as Zora Bennett , Mahershala Ali as Duncan Kincaid and Jonathan Bailey as Dr. Henry Loomis. Also starring in this film is Rupert Friend as Martin Krebs , Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as Reuben Delgado , Luna Blaise as Teresa Delgado , David Iacono as Xavier Dobbs , Audrina Miranda as Isabella Delgado , Bechir Sylvain as Leclerc , Philippine Velge as Nina and Ed Skrein as Bobby Atwater.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. With all of this films actors turning in what can best be described as being passable performances but that's all they are and even then it's mostly due to the fact that the films actors are some really good actors in their own right and the fact that this films director Gareth Edwards really does know how to get a good performance out of all of his actors a skill which he does again bring to good use in this film as while the films performances aren't as good as the ones seen in he original Jurassic Park or even the first Jurassic World for that matter it's clear that these actors know that there in a bad movie and yet are not only going to have as much fun with it as they could possibly do but are also still going to actually try and turn things around by giving us a some decent performances in this film but with that being said tho there are some performances in this film that could have been a little bit more better like for example Scarlett Johansson who despite trying to turn in a good performance does come across as being quite robotic alot of the time and Ed Skrein who is passable in this film just does nothing new or even remotely interesting with his performance in this film with the acting that's in this film not really being helped by the fact that this films script is just so bad as it gives none of this films actors absolutely nothing to work with interms of what it is that there actual characters personalities are even meant to be in the first place which is something that really does harm the overall quality of the acting that's in this very film.

Doing the CGI for this film is Important Looking Pirates , the legends and the greats that are currently over at Industrial Light & Magic and Proof. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good which is something that does make alot of sense as the effects companies that worked on this film are known for turning in nothing less that great looking CGI effects with even the films effects more specifically on it's dinosaurs being one of the few things that this film has actually gotten alot of praise for which again in something that does make alot of sense as Gareth Edwards does come from a VFX background and has worked on effects heavy monster movies before this film and therefor of course this films effects are going to look as good as they possibly could have done as they have someone who came from that world directing the movie but at the same time tho there are a few effects in this film that look a little bit to fake not that there bad but it's more like that they could have done with a few extra weeks working on them to make them look as good as the films dinosaurs look with one of those bad looking effects being the edge of mountain which is something that you can tell was filmed in a studio as unlike the dinosaurs where the lighting does match and they do have shadows being cast from them thanks to the sun hitting them in the right place with the mountain top scene almost none of that was there and it just made the film look cheap and the effect on the whole look really bad as well in the process.

SPOILERS START HERE!!!!!!!!!!!

OK to be frank here this movie does straight up copy certain bits of the 2014 American Godzilla film even to the point where it just reminds you of that film. With the opening of this film much like  the opening of that one opening up in the past where as character is killed off whilst wearing a hazmat suit which is the very thing that happens in this film only now the character that gets killed off is surrounded by a red mist and a creature comes out of nowhere and eats them and that's really it and heck they even use what might be Godzilla's roar a couple of times but they cut it off just before the end of it so it's quite hard to tell and while those nods to the film are good all they do is remind you that you could be watching a much more better film and they take you out of this film because of it with there inclusion in this film feeling out of place as whilst yes one of this films executive producers Steven Spielberg admitted to enjoying that film that doesn't mean that they needed to be included in this film as they had the chance to do something new and original and yet they instead chose to gave us a rehash of a scene that was done better nine years ago and a sound that will be fun for people to try and spot but oddly feels out of place in this film and heck it could even be argued that the films big bad dinosaur the Distortus Rex is more based off of Godzilla then it is the tyrannosaur as both characters do have very similar character traits with the only difference being that the Distortus Rex more has a head shape of a Xenomorph that it does have a head shape like Godzilla but that's really it and even then that's not enough to justify having these huge nods to that film in this film as all it will do is pull people out of this film and not keep them interested in it.

While these films have always had moments in them where characters should have died but they didn't do for whatever reason. This film takes it a whole other level as they have one of the main characters take a fall from an unknown height from about halfway down the edge of the mountain and survive just because he hit a few tree leaves and landed in some very shallow water and that's it and the film and the character just shakes it off as it's nothing something again happens later on in the film where a character goes to sacrifice themselves by distracting the Distortus Rex only for it be revealed that he is infact alive and well even tho the whole scene implied that he was as dead as a door nail and that's not to mention the fact that the film has a kid character survive a scene where there inflatable boat gets chewed on by a dinosaur and yet for no other reason they survived say what you will about the first film but they at least had stakes in that film and those stakes came about because of the fact that we got to see characters get killed of in situations where they would be killed off where as in this film it feels like that it's playing it to safe by having the characters essentially become superheroes and because of that we the audience have to no reason to be invested in them because we know that there going to be making it out alive and well and while they of course shouldn't have killed the kid and putting her in that situation is a great way to raise tension the only way to end that scene is to have her killed off with it being obvious that this films writer David Koepp wrote himself into a corner with that scene and thought that no one would care that he had a kid survive a situation that they shouldn't have survived but by doing at all it will do is make it harder to raise tension in the next scene because of the fact that all of the films characters are being treated like superheroes.

While this films villain Martin Krebs isn't the best of villains that this franchise has had he's also not the worst one either. As wanting to use dinosaur DNA to create a drug that will help human live longer but claim a patent on it that would make him rich is a good idea but at the same time tho it's oddly tame for this franchise as this franchise s known for having villains that are willing ti use dinosaurs for their own gain regardless of if it would create huge amount of money for them and yet here with this film they do go the obvious route with his character by having his evil scheme essentially be a get quick rich scheme and just to make sure that we know that he's evil the film even has him ignore the pleas of Teresa when she falls overboard when there boat is being attacked by a dinosaur which is something that does get dropped when the film reaches it third act and is the only interesting plot line that the film has as we have a character that is trying to make sure that someone who tried to kill her gets what's coming to him with her rightfully being angry about it but for whatever reason the film just drops this plot line with the characters main evil scheme not even making sense as he admits to Zora at the start of the film that he works for a company with very deep pockets so logically he would already be a pretty wealthy man in the first place so why would he want to do something so dangerous just to make more money when he could carry on doing what he's doing and still make just as much money and while the character does get a decent death as he gets eaten up by the Distortus Rex it's not a death that feels earned as he does nothing in the middle of the film that is evil where as with a character like Dennis Nedry earned his death by acting like a truly villainous character all throughout the film where as here Martin only acts like a villain twice and that's it.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly two hours and four minuets and eleven seconds. Which is a pretty solid running time for this film but at the same time given that this film spends alot of time in just setting up it's plot rather then going through it it would have made more sense for this film to be at the very least two hours and twenty minuets long as this film not only have more then plot there to cover it's running time but also that extended running time but this film also doesn't use it's running time all that wisely as the plot of the film isn't as fully developed as it really could have been as the film spends far to long in just setting up the plot then it does in actually developing it which does make the plot of the film not only weak but also underdeveloped as well with the same ting also being true for all of this films characters as well as we get to find out absolutely nothing about this films characters with the characters themselves being underdeveloped as well which does it make it even more harder then what it already was to care for this films human characters with it even be argued that we care more for the dinosaurs then we do the human characters of the film and while Gareth Edwards isn't to blame for this as when he was brought on to direct the film they were a few months out from filming but who is to blame is the films writer David Koepp as even tho he wrote the first two films in this franchise he was with this film from the very start of it's development and still didn't make any changes that would allow for either plot or character development something that very easily could have been done with a just a few re-writes of the films script but I really will admit that this film really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is an action film that really does mean that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us un this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. With this film rather rightfully getting alot of praise for it's action scenes as they do manage to bring back the horror aspect of the franchise that helped to make the first film standout quite so well but at the same time tho this film also doesn't do anything all that new with it's action as while they have a great action star in Scarlett Johansson the film does nothing with her when it comes to the films action scenes instead only choosing to have her use a gun and that's when it would have made more sense to have her do a little bit more then that as we know that thanks to her role in the MCU that Scarlett Johansson can do a little bit more then that with the little action heavy stuff that she gets to do looking really good with it actually being pretty hard to tell just what the best action scene is in the whole entire movie as there are alot of scenes that could quite easily make that claim and it would be totally understandable but if push did indeed come to shove i'd say that the best action scene in the whole entire movie is the scene where the characters are being hunted by a ground of dinosaurs on the ocean as that scene does invoke feeling of Jaws where the dinosaur could and in some cases does come out of nowhere and while the Distortus Rex does look cool and has some cool entrances the film does nothing with it's character other then have it eat Martin where the dinosaurs that are hunting the characters down in the ocean are actively trying to eat them and with the little kid on board that does add an extra level tension and while the films other action scenes are good there not as good as that one action is in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

SPOILERS END HERE!!!!!!!!!!!

Overall it's not that hard to see why this film is to date the worst rated film in this franchise as it really is just that bad of a film and hopefully the makers of this film will let this franchise rest for a good few years as right now the franchise isn't in the best of states and it's becoming more and more clear that the public really is over this franchise for the time being with this film and it's bad reviews being a really good example of that in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 6 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from Wikizilla , the official Jurassic park fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images really from this very film being the really great the official Jurassic Park fandom wiki page this is really because of the fact that really all of the images that I really indeed got and really used from the official Jurassic Park fandom wiki page are all really high quality really with all of the images that really are all and of course really currently up and on the really great and the really solid the official Jurassic Park fandom wiki page really are all being really fairly high in quality and as well as them all really being fairly high in definition.
