Rebel Moon Chapter Two: Curse Of Forgiveness Film Review

It's not unusual for a directors to release a director's cut of a movie but what is rather odd is for that exact same director to release both directors cuts of the movie in question on the exact same day. This is something that writer , producer and director Zack Snyder did when he released both directors cuts for Rebel Moon Chapters One and Two on the exact same day which does make sense as they are meant to be viewed as one film but at the same time your asking people to sit through a five hour and thirty minuet two part film that's going to be alot of work for anyone and well as I reviewed Chapter 1 yesterday you all just knew that I had to finish this story off and so then join means I review the film that sees Zack Snyder continue his love of pointless slow motion action scenes with the film in question being called simply just "Rebel Moon Chapter Two: Curse Of Forgiveness" enjoy.

The plot of this film is Kora and her allies take the fight to the mother world in a last ditch attempt to save her home world from being destroyed once and for all. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us n this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad as the plot of this film is quite literally just a continuation of the first films plot only where as the plot of the first film was alot more focused due to the fact that it's a directors cut and thus could now be made to be focused here the plot of the plot of the film is lot less focused then what it was in the original cut of the film with there being large portions of the films incredibly long running time where absolutely nothing happens at all to advance the overall plot of the film with the plot of this film being so incredibly thin at best that it was hard to tell what the actual plot of the film even was at points as well with the plot of this film also being really rather entertaining and as well as as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Sofia Boutella as Kora / Arthelais , Djimon Hounsou as Titus and Ed Skrein as Atticus Noble. Also starring in this film is Michiel Huisman as Gunnar , Doona Bae as Nemesis , Ray Fisher as Darrian Bloodaxe , Staz Nair as Tarak , Fra Fee as Balisarius , Cleopatra Coleman as Devra , Stuart Martin as Den , Ingvar Sigurdsson as Hagen , Alfonso Herrera as Cassius , Cary Elwes as The King , Rhian Rees as The Queen , Stella Grace Fitzgerald as Princess Issa , Elise Duffy as Milius , Sky Yang as Aris , Charlotte Maggi as Sam and The Silence of The Lambs and Hannibal star Sir Anthony Hopkins as The Voice Of JC-1435.

Now the interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in to very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. Which much like with the previous film was to be expected as Zack Snyder for all of his faults as a film maker really does know how to get a good performance out of this cast with this really being helped by the fact that alot of this films actors are a bunch of really good actors in there own right and as such it would have been almost expected of them to turn in a good performance in this film with the true standout actor in both of these films being Sofia Boutella as Kora / Arthelais who is just a joy to watch in both of these films with the acting that is in this film not really being helped by the fact that the script for this film is just so bad as it gives none of this films absolutely nothing to work with interms of what it is that there respective characters personalities are even meant to the in this first place which is something that really does harm the overall quality of the acting that's in this very film.

Doing the CGI for this film is PixStone Images , Framestore , Weta FX , Scanline VFX , Luma Pictures , Rodeo FX , Mammal Studios and Day For Nite. Now then interms of what I personally thought , felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad which is something that does make alot of sense given that the effects companies that are working on this film are a bunch of really effects companies who nearly always do turn in some good work which is also true for this film as the CGI in this film does look alot better then what it really had any right to as alot of Zack Snyder films don't have that great CGI in them and as a result of that is the fact that I would have been foolish to expect this film to have good CGI in it even more when you take into account that both this film and the previous film were in production at the exact same time and while that does mean that we get some dodgy looking effects those are in the minority and don't represent the overall majority of the effects that are in this film.

If you want proof of how to do a two part film and do it the right way then look no further then Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2. As that film and Deathly Hallows Part 1 are films that had to be told in two parts in order to do there story any kind of justice where as both this film and the previous film really didn't need to be told in two parts as it would have been very easy to make it so that the plot of this film also become the plot of the first film and not have it effect the actual story which is something that would have been impossible to do with the Deathly Hallows films as those films are based on stories and there for the plot is already set in place where with both of these films there original stories and as a result of that is the fact that the plots of both films could have been altered in such a way that this film wasn't even a thing which would make the first film alot more stronger as it would mean that the first film would be alot more focused and would have to spend alot less time on setting up things for this film and it would also mean that the story would come across as being alot more stronger then what it actually is as well.

This film does end on what is basically a tease for a potential part three which does make sense as the story of the first two films is all wrapped up. However at the same time given that Army Of The Dead has pretty much been killed of at this point it doesn't make sense to tease a potential third film when there's no guarantee that the film will happen in the first place and while it's not something that effects this film it is something that really didn't need to be included either as while the third film is being worked on it's not something that's been greenlit either but that is something that could all change when Netflix holds there annual Geek Week in a few weeks time as for this film the ending tease isn't something that effects it but it is that could have built up on in the film itself as it does include a tease that a character that we know from the film is alive and is now planning something big that will risk Kora's secret coming loose which would be interesting if it was something that really was set up as being a threat in this film and it would be all the more devastating if the film really gave us the audience a reason to actually care for any of it's characters.

As with the previous film Atticus Noble in this film really does come across as being a rather weak and forgettable villain. As we don;t really get to find out why he's evil as he's just doing these evil things for no reason nor do we get to find out why he was brought back to life either both of which are things that could have been added into this film in order to justify this film even existing but for some strange reason the makers of this film instead to fill this film with pointless scenes that really do ad nothing to the overfall plot with the same thing even being true for alot of this films newly filmed scenes as well as alot of there are just there for there sake of being there and not because of the fact that they add anything to the plot of the film if you want a good example of how to do a directors cut then watch both The Two Towers and The Return Of The King as they both added in scenes with both Sean Bean and John Noble which added to the character arc of David Wenham's character Faramir and yet this film doesn't do any of that which makes both of these film feel rather pointless in the grand scheme of things.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly two hours an fifty three minuets and two seconds. Which is such a long running time for this film as when you boil this films plot down it really doesn't have alot there interms of plot to really cover that large amount of running time all of which makes you wonder why the makers of this film chose to make this film almost three hours long when it really didn't need to he that long as you could have left this film with the running time that it had for it's theatrical cut and nothing that's actually important to either the characters own personal characters arcs or the actual plot would actually be lost with this film being filled to the brim with scenes that are nothing more filler scenes and could have very easily have been removed from the film with them only being in this cut of the film just to make the film longer and that's really it and that's not a good excuse for those scenes being in this film but I will admit that this film does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is an action fil that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty the best part of the film. As the films action is just that good which given that this film was being directed by Zack Snyder does make alot of sense as he knows how to direct good looking action scenes and the same thing is true for this film as all of this films action scenes really do look really good and even the films third act final battle does drag on for a quite alot time it's that exact same action scene that;s the best action in the whole entire movie as it does show us the audience just how chaotic an invasion could be as well as showing us what Kora's allies can do and show us that they really can hold there own in a fight but with that being said tho that action scene really didn't need to be that long as you very easily could have cut about twenty minuets out of it and nothing of importance would actually be lost but at the same time given that it is a really long scene does mean that we get to see more of the coolest action scene in the whole entire movie which can only be a good thing in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this film was a bit of let down as it's a fil that could have been alot better then what it ultimately ended up being but with that being said tho this is the kind of the film that you expect when you see the words "directed by Zack Snyder" during the movies closing credits and trailers in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Harry Potter fandom wiki page , IMP Awards . Com and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images really from this very film being the really great Google Images this is really because of the fact that really all of the images that I really indeed got and really used from the really great Google Images are all really high quality with all the images that are currently up and on the really great and the really solid Google Images really are all being really fairly high in quality and as well as them all really being fairly high in definition.
