Justice League Film Review

For some strange reason Warner Bros really had no idea what to with the DC Extended Universe with them panicking whenever a film flopped which would then course the next film to flop as well. While this really is not the case with the film that i'm about to talk to you about today this film really did have alot of studio interference in it's post production and production process something which really did harm the overall quality of the film and so then join me as I review the film really is a waste of a good team with the film in question being called simply just "Justice League" enjoy.

The plot of this film is with Superman dead it's up to Batman , Cyborg , The Flash and Wonder Woman to stop an alien invasion from someone who has the power to destroy the world. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in al honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad but that's also the problem as the plot of this film isn't all that good either with the plot of this film being at best OK as it does have some good ideas thrown in there but the film doesn't have the time that it needs to let those concepts fully develop with alot of what happens in this film just happening for no reason and not because of the fact that it's advancing the plot of the film and while yes the problems with this films plot could also be found in Zack Snyder's Justice League to a much more lesser extent here they are more of an issue due to how bad everything else around this film is as well with the plot of this film also being really rather entertaing and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne / Batman and Henry Cavill as Clark Kent / Superman. Also starring in this film is Gal Gadot as Diana Prince / Wonder Woman , Ezra Miller as Barry Allen / The Flash , Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry / Aquaman , Ray Fisher as Victor Stone / Cyborg , Amy Adams as Lois Lane , Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth , Diane Lane as Martha Kent , Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta , J. K. Simmons as Commissioner James Gordon , Amber Heard as Mera , Joe Morton as Silas Stone and Ciarán Hinds as Steppenwolf.

Now then interns of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented t us in this very film well then in all honesty I in al; honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. Which isn't really all that surprising as not only is this films co-writer and co-director Joss Wheadon a director who knows how to get a good out of his cast but so is this other films other co-director Zack Snyder with this film also being helped by the fact that this films actors are a bunch of really good actors and while yes from acting standpoint Gal Gadot is newest actor she more then holds her own once again with the films more experienced actors as well with the acting in this film not really being helped by the fact that the script for this film is just so bad as it gives none of this films absolutely nothing to work with interms of what it is that there respective characters personalities are even to be in the first which is something that really does bring down the overall quality of the acting that's in this very film.

Doing the CGI for this film is Scanline VFX , Moving Picture Company , Double Negative , Wētā FX , Method Studios , Pixomondo , Rodeo FX , Shade VFX , TeamWorks Digital , Vitality Visual Effects , BOT VFX and Mist VFX Studio. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad as the films CGI does look really good but at the same time tho this films CGI isn't that good and it's hard to say why that's the case as the CGI for Zack Snyder's Justice League was really good and yet the effects for this film just look really cartoony looking at best and downright bad at worst and as a result of that is the fact that we get effects that on paper should look really good and given who is involved with doing the effects for this film and yet for one reason r another they just end up looking really bad.

Just like Superman II this film is not only alot more lighter in tone then what originally envisioned but is also an inferior cut of a much more better movie. However where as the firing of Richard Donner from Superman II could have been fixed right away replacing Zack Snyder as this films director was kind of needed due to the fact that the director left the film due to his daughter dying which meant that whoever was going to replace him was always going to have a tough job ahead them as they'll now have to get into his head and think what he was thinking about when he was making this movie and try to keep the movie as close to his style and his way of film making  something which evidently wasn't an issue when it came to Superman II as that's films director Richard Lester was more of a comedy director and so he added in alot more overt humorous moments into the film with the same thing also being true for this film to a degree as while Joss Wheadon is known as a science fiction director and is on paper a great choice for a replacement to  Zack Snyder his style of humour is alot more childlike and something that a teenager would find funny which like with Superman II is something that really doesn't mesh well with the rest of the film.

For some strange reason the makers of this film chose to have a Russian family completely take over the film during it's third act. Which is something makes no sense as not only is it far to late for the film to introducing new characters but there also not the characters that we the audience should be paying attention to during the films third act as we should be paying attention to the films main heroes and yet for some strange reason the film insists on having a Russian family take centre stage and basically hijack the films third act when there not needed as the film already has enough drama just with Steppenwolf alone trying to to unite these three boxes to help to bring his boss who could destroy the world is more then enough interms of drama and stakes but for some strange reason the makers of the fil thought that that wasn't enough when not only is it enough drama it's all the drama that we really need as the whole film revolves around Steppenwolf trying to achieve his goal and as a result of that is the fact that the Russian family not only isn't needed in the film but are also pointless characters as they add nothing to the plot of the film.

Steppenwolf in this film is done absolutely no justice whatsoever as alot of his backstory was cut out of the film. Which does make it hard for us the audience to form a connection with him as a character as it just comes across as him being evil for the sake of being evil where as if he did have his backstory kept in this cut of the film it would not only make him more of a creepy villain as we'd get to see just how truly evil he is in this film but it would also more of a well rounded character as well as we the audience would the get the chance to see what this characters personality is like and what his character flaws both of which are things that are missing from this cut of the film even tho the character does have a clear goal which does help to make him an interesting character but he still needed his backstory kept in the film to really sell him as a threat to not only the earth but to the Justice League as well because as things stand even tho the character understand that he's threat we the audience don't and that does make it hard for us to form any kind of connection with his character something which is easy to do in Zack Snyder's Justice League which really did make him more of a well rounded character with a personality and flaws all of which went a really long way to making him a really alot more interesting character as well.

Now then this film really has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly two hours and two seconds. Which out of the two films does make this film the more easier of the two films to watch as watching one two hour film will always be alot more easier to watch then watching a four hour film with this film really having more then enough there interms of plot to really cover that large amount of running time but it's incredibly shorter running time is also the films biggest issue as it means that alot of key things that come across more naturally in Zack Snyder's Justice League due to it's longer time in this film feel rushed as the film has to rush through several of it's key plots just to get to the next plot point which means that things that should have a big impact on us the audience like Superman coming back to life instead just feel really hollow and empty as the film really isn't allowed to let those moments breathe and this is due to the fact that Warner Bros. Picture enforced a two hour running time without credits on to the film which meant that alot of key things from the plot had to get out in order to make that running time and the film really does suffer because of it but I really will admit that the film really does have some really bad pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is an action film that really does mean that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. With the films action being one of the very few highlight of the film as the films action is just that good with the films best action sequence being the films third act as we get to see the whole team minus Superman working together and that really does lead us to have some really cool moments but you could also make that point for alot of this films action as well as there are alot of really cool moments in all of this films action sequences and while it;s hard to tel who it was that directed this films action sequences it's not hard to see why this films action scenes were so good as both Zack Snyder and Joss Wheadon really do know how to deliver some really good and exciting action in any of their films and TV shows with that really also being the case for the action in this film as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall while Zack Snyder's Justice League is without a shadow of a doubt the more superior cut of the film this film is the one that's more easier to watch due it's shorter running time and while both films do have there own fair share problems the issues in this film are more evident due to the films much more shorter running time which is something that really does harm the film in several really major ways in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good ans as well as all of the bad things that are in his very film in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 6 out of 10 from me.
