Pee-Wee's Big Adventure Film Review

I think we all know why i've chosen to review this film and yes I will be touching upon this further on in the review. However it's also important to note that thus film is also the feature film for one of the most weirdest and strangest directors in Hollywood and that without this movie we wouldn't have gotten both Beetlejuice and Batman 1989 and so then join me as I review the film that proves that true love is between a man and his bike with the film in question being called simply just "Pee-Wee's Big Adventure" enjoy.

The plot of this film is when his bike is stolen Pee-wee Herman embarks on a cross country trip across America to find his stolen beloved bike. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good with this films plot being both delightfully charm and delightfully child like as well as being rather entertaining and very engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is this films co-writer the late Paul Reubens as Pee-wee Herman and voice acting legend E.G. Daily as Dottie. Also starring in this film is Mark Holton as Francis Buxton , Diane Salinger as Simone , Judd Omen as Mickey Morelli , Irving Hellman as Mr. Crabtree , Monte Landis as Mario , Erica Yohn as Madame Ruby , Alice Nunn as Large Marge , Cassandra Peterson as Biker Mama and this films co-writer Phil Hartman as A Reporter.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty alot better then what I thought that it would be. As I really hadn't seen this film before now and so I really had no idea what to expect from this film acing wise and so then to see some actually good acting in this film really did take me by surprise as this films cast is mostly made up of either unknown or very little known actors and actresses.

What I really did love about this film is the fact nearly all of this films are infact some really likable characters. Which goes along way into making this film really good as it just goes to show you just how likable the character of Pee-Wee Herman was as he's so likable that he can make any character around him even the villains seem more likable as we get to see just way they are the way that they are which makes those characters both good and bad seem alot more human and alot more three dimensional and this is something that modern films fail to understand as they make the characters that you supposed to love unlikable where as that simply isn't the case for this film.

I don't really think that it needs saying why i'm doing this review now but for those of you that don't know this films main star and it's co-writer Paul Reubens very sadly passed away at the age of seventy. It will always be sad when a pop culture icon is no longer with us but what we have to remember is that an actor never truly dies as we still have all of his films and TV shows to look back on and remember him fondly as each actor put some of themselves into their work in this film you can see the sweet , kind , funny and generous man that Paul Reubens was and that is something that should never be lost and never be forgotten by fans of his and those of us who are just seeing this film for the first time it's all of those qualities that really will be missed the most from alot of people and from all of his many fans.

This film is just filled to the brim of child like wonder and innocence both of which I found to be rather enjoyable. As it reminded me of being a kid and how when your a kid you see things a certain way and seeing this film give us that feeling of child like innocence and wonder was something that I really did like as it worked out really well with the character of Pee-Wee Herman who is basically the American version of Mr. Bean and it's that child like wonder and innocence that helps to make Pee-Wee himself seem alot more likable which only helps the film as it makes us the audience want to see him succeed in his quest.

There are somethings that I didn't like about this move like the cameos in this film which to me just felt forced as they really added nothing to the overall plot of the film and just weren't that fun to see alot of the time. The other thing that I didn't like about this film was the character of Dottie who was just a rather pointless character who could have been removed from the final cut of the film and nothing of importance would have been lost from the final cut film heck she even just straight up disappears from the movie at one point and her absence isn't felt at all as she really just that pointless of a character who added nothing to the overall plot of the film.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and thirty one minuets and twenty six seconds. Which is pretty much the perfect running time for a Pee-Wee Herman movie to have this is also helped by the fact that this film really doesn't have alot their interms of either plot or story to cover that long of a running time altho I do wish that this film was a little bit longer jut because of the fact that I was having such a good time watching this movie but at the same time tho if this film was even five or ten minuets longer then it would be stretching an already pretty thinly drawn out story even thinner and I will admit that this film does have some really good pacing to it with this film really just flying right on by.

So now then since this is a comedy that means that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty alot better then what I thought that it would be. As I didn't grow up with the Pee-Wee Herman character and so I really had no idea what to expect from this film comedy wise and yet not only did I laugh at alot of this films joke but I laughed out loud and hard which is a very rare thing for me and that just goes to show just how really funny this film well and truly is in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this film is so much better then what I thought that it would be and this is even more shocking due tot he fact that is directed by Tim Burton a guy who is not really known for directed family friendly comedy films in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a really grand old score of exactly an 8 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images  that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Tim Burton fandom wiki page , IMP Awards . Com and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this very film being obviously Google Images since really alot of this films images that are really from this very film and that are all currently still up and on Google Images and all of the images are all really fairly freaking high in picture quality and as well as them all really being really fairly freaking high in definition.
