The Beverly Hillbillies Film Review

It's not uncommon for a successful TV show to get turned into a movie in fact it's a very sadly a common thing to happen. However what alot of them have in common is the fact that alot of them are pretty bad movies and are bad representations of the TV shows that inspired them and so then join me as I review the film that is a bad follow up film for the director of Wayne's World with the film in  question being called simply just "The Beverly Hillbillies" enjoy.

The plot pf this film is when he strikes oil Jedidiah D. 'Jed' Clampett moves his family to Beverly hills where they have adjust to a new of living. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty a bad plot for a feature length film since it's a plot that doesn't work for a film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Jim Varney as Jedidiah D. 'Jed' Clampett and Diedrich Bader as Jethro Bodine and Jethrine Bodine. Also starring in this film is Erika Eleniak as Elly May Clampett , Cloris Leachman as Daisy May "Granny" Moses , Dabney Coleman as Milburn Drysdale , Lily Tomlin as Jane Hathaway , Rob Schneider as Woodrow Tyler , Lea Thompson as Laura Jackson / Laurette Voleur , Penny Fuller as Margaret Drysdale , Kevin Connolly as Morgan Drysdale , Linda Carlson as Pearl Bodine and Buddy Ebsen as Barnaby Jones.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad since this films cast are quite clearly trying to turn in a good performance however the films script is just so bad that the actors can at best turn in an OK performance but OK by this films standard is amazing.

This film is of course based of off the sitcom of the exact same name which ran on CBS from September 26th 1962 with its final episode airing on March 23rd 1971. As far as I can tell just from reading the shows Wikipedia page this movie very loosely adapts the first three episodes of the show however it does so while not having any of the heart or any of the soul and spirit that was most likely in the original show so much so that this movie might as well have been called something else since both this movie and the original show are completely different from one another.

One thing that really did bug me about this movie is the fact that this film as so many different plot lines. With literally every single character having a plot of their own which is fine for a TV show but it's not something that works well for a movie since it makes things very confusing since you now have to remember one scene from early in the movie just to understand what's going on which for a movie isn't something that you want to be doing but that's what you get when your movie has FOUR different writers working on it.

Speaking of writers you can tell that this movie just by the fact that this movie is written by the writers of Superman IV: The Quest For Peace. Since the writing in this film is very sitcom like which again would be fine for a TV show since that's where the sitcom was born to live but it's not something that works well for a feature length film and part of this bad writing means that plotlines that get set up all throughout the film very rarely go anywhere at best and are just forgotten about at it's worst which is a sign of very bad writing indeed.

This film is just as nineties as you'd expect it to be since it has he most stereotypical nineties movie plot and the most stereotypical villains that you'd expect from a nineties movie. This is something that really does date the movie quite alot because you know exactly where all of these cliches and tropes are going which just makes the movie feel boring and predictable which is a shame because on paper this film could have worked and heck given who was involved with the making of this film there's no reason as to why this film couldn't work but due to the bad script it just fell apart and the whole film just didn't work out at all.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour sand thirty three minuets and thirty seconds. Which to this films credit is just the right amount of time for this film to last since it doesn't really have alot of story to cover anything even longer then that and again to this films credit this film does have some good pacing and as such the film really does fly by however tho since this film has alot of scenes that go nowhere this film does feel boring at times and at times feels alot longer then what it actually is.

So now then since this is a comedy that means that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really bad. So much so that within the first two and half minuets of the film we get a fart joke that right there told me that I was in for a bad film and while the film does have some slightly funny moments later on in the film by then it's two little far two late in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this is film that is quite clearly trying to be funny but the issue is that no actually funny jokes are written in the films script and so all we get is a bunch of funny actors doing their best to be funny but are given nothing that's actually funny to say or do in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film earns itself a grand old score of exactly a 3.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all pf the images that I personally used in this very review from IMP Awards . Com and Google Images. With my preferred website to use to get images from this film being Google Images just simply due to the fact that alot of the images that are on Google Images are all fairly high quality and as well as being fairly high definition.
