Encanto Film Review

 

Disney has made a ton of great animated films over it's many years and well just two years ago it released an animated that took the world by storm. The film that i'm about to review for you all today is one that not alot of people expected to be as good as it was and so when this film came out it really did surprise alot of people with just how good it was and so then join me as I review the film that proved you don't need to have magic to be a good person with the film in question being called simply just "Encanto" review.

The plot of the film is when the magic that grants her family there magical powers starts fading Mirabel has to find the course of this problem and stop it before it's far to late. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good with this films plot being a breath of fresh air and was genuinely quite entertaining as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. 

Starring in this film is Stephanie Beatriz as Mirabel Madrigal and María Cecilia Botero as Abuela Alma Madrigal. Also starring in this film is John Leguizamo as Bruno Madrigal , Mauro Castillo as Félix Madrigal , Jessica Darrow as Luisa Madrigal , Angie Cepeda as Julieta Madrigal , Carolina Gaitán as Pepa Madrigal , Diane Guerrero as Isabela Madrigal , Wilmer Valderrama as Agustín Madrigal , Rhenzy Feliz as Camilo Madrigal , Ravi Cabot-Conyers as Antonio Madrigal , Adassa as Dolores Madrigal and Maluma as Mariano Guzman.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With all of this films cast members not only being perfectly cast but also turning in some really good performances so much so that I really can't possibly imagine anybody else playing these characters because that's just how well cast the characters really were in this film.

Doing the animation for this film is of course the legends and the greats that are currently over at Walt Disney Animation Studios. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this film was in all honesty really good with this films animation being truly breathtakingly beautiful and stunning as well.

What makes this film feel fresh and unique is the fact that it doesn't have a villain and the fact that it's al; about the family and what it means to be special in a family that's full to the brim with special family members. Both of which make this film feel fresh and unique and both of those elements work really well for this film since it allows the characters to be themselves and because of that we do get some great character interactions and some great character moments both of which would have been really pretty hard to do if the film had a traditional villain and didn't make the family the main focus of the film.

This film sadly isn't a perfect since there are some things in this film that didn't work as well as anything else in this film. The first of which being the fact that alot of the family don't get fully fleshed out ad so come across as being rather two dimensional and the other thing being that they never really explain why people come to this town which given that that is kind of a big plot point is something that should have been explained since magic is a big thing in this world and having them explain why people first came to this town would also really help to flesh out the overall story of this films world as well.

This film is of curse a musical with all of this films being written by the great songwriter Lin-Manuel Miranda. I'm not going to lie I really do like all of this films songs so much so that after I first watched this film I then got onto to Spotify and got the entire album and added them to a few playlists with the best song for me being so hard to choose because they are all just so good but if I were pushed i'd say "The Family Madrigal" but with that being said all of this films songs are just so good and could very easily be my favorite song of this film as well.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and forty two minuets and twenty five seconds. Which is a little bit on the long side for this film since this film does have a few scenes in it that go nowhere and as such this film does start to feel like an advert for the soundtrack but when this film really does want to fly it really does fly by and as such I really do think that this film should have been at the very least one hours and thirty minuets just so things like the plot could be alot more tighter and alot more streamlined as well.

So now then since this is a comedy that means that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With both Dolores and Camilo getting a big laugh out of me since Camilo gives a great look to Dolores during the "All Of You" number which I thought was funny and Dolores gets alot of some really funny moments in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this is such a good film and it's not hard to see why this film became as popular as it was since it has alot of great and fun characters and great songs among many other things in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film earns itself a grand old score of exactly an 8 out of 10 from me.
