Strange World Film Review

 

Disney fans the company is having a busy weekend with so many new releases on Disney+ just on Friday alone that it's hard to keep count of them all and a brand spanking new animated film being released straight to theaters. It's that very film that i'm going to be reviewing for you all today and so then join me as I review the film that I believe is the first Disney animated film to use their really brand spanking new 100 Years Of Wonder logo with the film in question being called simply just "Strange World" enjoy.

The plot of this film is a family of famous explorers must set aside their differences and travel across a mysterious land in order to save a power source from running out for good. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty fairy weak which is a shame because when this film does focus in it's plot it's really entertaining and can be a really good plot when told right which just isn't the case with this film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. 

Starring in this film is Jake Gyllenhaal as Searcher Clade , Dennis Quaid as Jaeger Clade and Jaboukie Young-White as Ethan Clade. Also starring in this film is Gabrielle Union as Meridian Clade , Lucy Liu as Callisto Mal , Karan Soni as Caspian , Alan Tudyk as Duffle , Adelina Anthony as Captain Pulk , Abraham Benrubi as Lonnie Redshirt , Jonathan Melo as Diazo , Nik Dodani as Kardez and Francesca Reale as Azimuth.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. With the actors that expect a great performance from truly delivering however alot of this films cast just straight up don't even bother to turn in a good performance and that really does bring down the overall quality of the acting that we get in this film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Doing the animation for this film is of course the legends and the greats that are currently over at Walt Disney Animation Studios. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good with this films animation being very visually stunning in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

This is something that I might be wrong in but if i'm right then this is the first Disney animated film to use there 100 Years Of Wonder logo. Which if so isn't a good thing since this film isn't that good and is hardly worthy of being the first animated Disney film to have this logo attached to it since it doesn't represent the best of Disney it instead only represents what Disney has become and not what it stands for and most certainly not what Walt Disney himself believed in in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

I will very much admit that when this film wants to be very entertaining then it can be a very entertaining film. However for the most part this film is just flat out boring which is something that really shouldn't be the case for any film and as such I can't really see this film being talked about all that much at least not in a positive way which is a shame because when this film gets it right it really does get it right in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

This film does have the theme of family and while this film does indeed handle this theme very well I will admit that there's another film that handles this theme better. With that film being Encanto this is because f the fact that Encanto took the time to fully develop all of it's characters and thus make us care for them which is sadly not the case with this film since this film doesn't take the time to fully develop it's characters and so we the audience aren't given a reason to care for these characters and unlike Encanto we aren't given a reason to want to see the characters in this film succeed which just simply really isn't the case with Encanto in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and twenty nine minuets and six seconds. Which is a bit on the long side espically when you take into account just how weak and just how very thin this films story is it means that we get alot of scenes that just go nowhere and could have excluded from the film and nothing of actual importance to the actual plot of the film would have been lost in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then since this is an action film that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / resented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty decent at best. Since this films action does look pretty cool and we do get some decent animation however it's all the same old thing that we've seen in other animated action action movies and nothing more then that in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this film is a huge waste of a decent concept and it's an idea that I could very easily see working as a Disney+ TV series but here it's a concept that just flat out doesn't work in this film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 5 out of 10 from me.
