The Transporter Film Review
For every genre there's always a bunch of actors and actress that are known only for appearing in that genre of film. With the film that i'm reviewing for all today featuring one such and I have to say that i'm so glad that i've finally gotten around to watching this film because this film is just so good and such a fun film to watch and so then join me as I watch the film that pretty much launched the freaking career of one Jason Statham with the freaking film in question being called simply just "The Transporter" enjoy.
The plot of this film is Frank Martin is tasked with transporting an object to a criminal called Darren "Wall Street" Bettencourt however when Frank breaks one of his rules and sees what the package is he lets himself in for something alot more dangerous then what he could have possibly have imagined. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good with this films plot being the right freaking kind of dumb an enjoyable in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Starring in this film is of course Jason Statham as Frank Martin , Shu Qi as Lai Kwai and François Berléand as Inspector Tarconi. Also starring in this film is Matt Schulze as Darren "Wall Street" Bettencourt , Ric Young as Mr. Kwai , Vincent Nemeth as Pilot , Jean-Yves Bilien as Little Thug , Jean-Marie Paris as Giant Thug , Adrian Dearnell as Newscaster , Alfred Lot as Cop 1 , Audrey Hamm as Secretary , Sebastien Migneau as Wheel Man , Laurent Jumeaucourt as Young Thug , Christian Gazio as Cop 2 and Frédéric Vallet as Tractor Trailer Driver.
Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. Which considering just how dumb this films storyline is the fact that this director managed to get good performances from the cast is a truly remarkable thing indeed in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
It's hard to believe that this one film spawned it's own franchise which so far consists of four films and one TV show. I in all honesty have no idea how they managed to get an entire franchise out of this one idea simply because on paper this is a one and done film and so to see that they somehow managed to get three sequel films , a reboot film and a TV show out of this one idea alone is quite astounding to me since it really shouldn't have gotten all of those things and then some in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
I'm just going to come right out and say it but this films main protagonist Frank Martin is such a likable character and alot of that has to come from actor Jason Statham. Who somehow manages to make all of his characters likable which in this case really does help the film out quite alot since Frank does some things in this film that might make him seem unlikable on paper but because of who is playing him it comes across as being quite freaking likable instead of unlikable in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
The same thing tho cannot be said for the character of Lai Kwai who despite being the female lead of this film comes across as being rather unlikable. Alot of this boils down to the fact that she's basically given no personality trait at all other then being kidnapped but this character straight up lies to Frank several times in this movie alone just to get what she wants and she spends a vast amount of her screen time screaming which also makes her really freaking annoying as well as slightly unlikable person in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Dumb is perhaps the best word to describe this movie because that's exactly what it is it's a dumb action movie and nothing more then that. Which is fine for this film because there are alot of just straight up dumb moments which are done for the sake of a cool reveal or a cool looking moment but the issue is tho that sometimes those moments come at the expense of telling a good story or having a good character moment in the film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and thirty two minuets and nine seconds. Which was a bit on the short side for this film since there was alot more there story wise that you very easily could have gotten this film up to the very least one hour and forty minuets but on the plus side tho this film really did have tremendous pacing with the film not feeling as long as it is in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
So now then since this film is an action film after all that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film and well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really freaking cool. With Jason Statham really getting the chance to shine in this films many freaking action sequences in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Overall this film was such a fun watch and it's a film that I can very easily see myself coming back to time and time again even if it's just to see alot of this films many cool action moments because that's how much fun this film well and truly is in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 7 out of 10 from me.
Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official The Transporter fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this very / particular / exact film being Google Images since alot of the images that are from this film and that are currently still indeed up on Google Images are all fairly freaking high in quality and as well as being fairly freaking high in definition.
