Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes Film Review

 

Before he was bust making the dark knight an actually good mystery film director Matt Reeves directed a film from another reboot. It's that very film that I want to talk about today since alot of people are only now claiming that this guy can make good movies when the fact is alot of us have known that fact for years at this point and so then join me as I review the film that really does have a mouthful of a title with the film in question being called simply just "Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes" enjoy.

The plot of this film is ten years after the events of the first film humankind has all been whipped out with apes now being the more dominate species however trouble arises when some apes come across some human who don't want an all out war to happen. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good with this films plot being genuinely both quite engaging and quite freaking smart at the exact same freaking time in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.    

Starring in this film is Andy Serkis as Caesar , Toby Kebbell as Koba , Judy Greer as Cornelia and Nick Thurston as Blue Eyes. Also starring in this film is Terry Notary as Rocket , Karin Konoval as Maurice , Jason Clarke as Malcolm , Gary Oldman as Dreyfus , Keri Russell as Ellie , Kodi Smit-McPhee as Alexander , Kirk Acevedo as Carver , Jon Eyez as Foster , Enrique Murciano as Kemp and Keir O'Donnell as Finney.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With a special shoutout going to Andy Serkis who is just phenomenal to watch in this film as he just turns in an absolutely freaking fantastic performance as Caesar in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. 

Doing the CGI for this film is the legends and the greats that are currently over at Weta Digital , Soho VFX and Exceptional Minds. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good with alot of this films CGI still holding up all  of these years later in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

What I really liked about this film is that despite the fact that Caesar very rarely speaks in English you can quite clearly understand what he's saying via his body language and his actions. This just goes to show you how good of an actor Andy Serkis is because to be able to get across the information needed would be very hard for any actor to do and yet Andy Serkis can very easily pull that off with ease in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

There are a few things that I really didn't like about this film with the first of which being the fact that the human characters aren't really developed all that well. With the second thing that I really didn't like about this film being the fact that the relationships between all of the characters isn't very well handled which is a shame because one of those relationships is a key plot point in the film and so then more effort should have been made into alot more developed then what it actually is in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. 

This film is essentially a story about a father and his son and this is the relationship that should have had alot more work put into it. Since it's a key part of the film and yet the characters don't feel like there father and son since they instead feel like there just a couple of friends and nothing more then that which is a shame because when these two characters do reunite near the end of the film it is a genuinely sweet moment in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then I cannot for the absolutely life of me remember whatever this films running time even was but i do that for a fact that this film has / had an exact grand total running time of roughly two hours and eight minutes. Which is a great running time for this film to last but at the exact same time tho the fact that this film basically has two climax's makes this film feel a little bit longer then what it actually is in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. 

So now then since this film is an action film that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film and well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really freaking good. With alot of this films action being very creative and just very cool to look at in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this film is such a good film and it's one that I really do think that alot more people should be talking about alot more and it really is a shame that alot of people have stopped talking about this film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film erns itself a grand old score of exactly an 8.5 out of 10 from me.
