Hitman 2007 Film Film Review

 

Video game movies are very shockingly common place however what is it more shocking is that most video game movies are bad. With there being tons of video game movies out there it only makes sense that one or two would become forgotten over time and well i'm going to be taking a look at one of those forgotten bad video game movies and so then join me as I review the film that let's face it alot of us all forgot was even a thing with the film in question being called simply just "Hitman" enjoy.

The plot of this film is Hitman Agent 47 is tasked with killing a politician only for things to go wrong when another agent tries to kill Agent 47 and so then it's up to Agent 47 to find out why he's being targeted before it's far to late. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was very thin at best with this films plot just coming and going as and when it pleases in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Timothy Olyphant as Agent 47 , Dougray Scott as Mike Whittier and Robert Knepper as Yuri Marklov. Also starring in this film is Olga Kurylenko as Nika Boronina , Ulrich Thomsen as Mikhail Belicoff , Henry Ian Cusick as Udre Belicoff , Michael Offei as Jenkins , James Faulkner as Carlton Smith , Eriq Ebouaney as Bwana Ovie , Emil Abossolo-Mbo as General Ajunwa and Lisa Jacobs as The Voice Of Diana Burnwood.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. Which given how bad the script for this film is the fact that this film has good acting within it can only be a very good thing indeed in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then as alot of you will all no doubt know this film is based on the very popular Hitman video game franchise. This is a franchise that started all the way back in the year 2000 and is still going strong to this very day with various sequels and add ons and so it was really only about time that this franchise was given it's very own feature length film it's just a shame then that this film is just forgettable at best in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

For some strange reason the makers of this film thought that this film really needed a romance angel because you know when you think of a film based of off the Hitman games you really think of a romance angel. This just goes to show you that the makers of this film haven't played a singe Hitman video game heck I haven't played the games and even I know that a romance angel would just seem out of place in a film like this one in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

I cannot say if this film is a faithful adaptation of the video games tho since like i've just said i've never even played even just one of this franchises many video games. However tho as a movie on it's own right this film is still a pretty movie even getting the most basic filmmaking things wrong since in alot of this films action sequences it's hard to tell who Agent 47 is since he blends in with all of the other bald guys and it doesn't help that none of this films show even the slightest hint of emotion in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. 

This film does somewhat touch upon the origin story of Agent 47 but none of what we see actually connects to what's happening in the main plot of the film. As such it just seems like this film is rushing through his origin just to try to make us form a connection with this character which shouldn't be the case since this character should be a mystery with nobody knowing whom this character is and what there backstory is since that then makes the character both more mysterious like an assassin should be and a bit more interesting as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and thirty four minuets and fourteen seconds. Which is such a short amount of running time for a film like this one to last since you have so much to set up and it would be physically impossible to do all of that work and still tell a really good storyline in that amount of time and as such I really do think that that this film should have been at the very least two hours since then you could have some character development amongst several other freaking things as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.  

So now then this film is an action film after all and that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film and well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. Altho the editing for this films action was terrible since you could barely make out what was happening half of the time but the bits that you could make out did look pretty freaking good in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall whilst this film quite clearly isn't the worst video game movie ever made it's also quite clearly not the best video game movie ever made however it is one of if not the most forgettable video game movie ever made tho in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very freaking film erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 5 out of 10 from me.
