DuckTales the Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp Film Review
Disney fans the Disney Afternoon programming block is seeing a kind of comeback with both Ducktales and soon Chip 'N' Dale: Rescue Rangers getting their very own half animated half live action movie. As such I thought that i'd take a look at the very first film to be spawned from this programming block and so then join me as I review the film that brought some famous ducks to the big screen with the freaking film in question being called simply just "DuckTales the Movie: Treasure Of The Lost Lamp" enjoy.
The plot of this film is Scrooge and his family set out to find some legendary hidden treasure and have to defend what they find from some rather nasty villains. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad with this films main plot being genuinely quite enjoyable in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Starring in this film is Alan Young as Scrooge McDuck and the late Russi Taylor as Huey Duck , Dewey Duck , Louie Duck and Webby Vanderquack. Also starring in this film is Terrence McGovern as Launchpad McQuack , Richard Libertini as Dijon , Christopher Lloyd as Merlock the late June Foray as Mrs. Featherby , Chuck McCann as Duckworth , Joan Gerber as Mrs. Beakley and the late Rip Taylor as Genie.
Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. Which given who is appearing / starring in this film really shouldn't come as a surprise to absolutely anybody whatsoever in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Doing the animation for this film is Disney Television Animation , Disneytoon Studios and Walt Disney Animation France S.A.. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film is in all honesty really good and you can quite easily tell that this film got a huge visual upgrade from the show which for me at least is a very good thing indeed in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
This film is of course spun off from the 1987 Disney animated TV Series Ducktales with this show taking place inbetween seasons 3 and 4 of the show. What I really liked about this film is that it didn't just feel like an extended episode of the show since this film does things that the show just couldn't do at the time for whatever and that alone makes this film feel alot more like a film rather then just an extended episode of the show in my freaking opinions anyways /at least.
One of the major issues that I have not only with this film movie but with the original show as a whole is that the kinds are not only given no personality but they also have the exact same voice. Which is fine for a TV show since you could have several episodes to help to set up there own personalities but that's not a luxury when it comes to the movie since with a movie you only get one chance to make each character stand out and this film just doesn't do that and since all of the kids have the exact same voice it also makes it harder to focus on who is talking as well which is always going to be a very bad thing indeed in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
This film really does do a good job of showing you how good hearted Scrooge is since he let's Webby keep what he thinks is some worthless junk just to make her happy. This one little scene just shows you how good of a person Scrooge is at heart since that's something that he didn't have to do and yet he did it anyway just to please one little girl and just to make that one little girl happy and it's just such a sweet little moment as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and thirteen minuets and fifty seconds. Which is a tad bit on the short side for a story like this one since you very easily could have made this film one hour and thirty minuets and all you'd have to is just expand upon the films plot and that's really it but as it is this film was a breeze to get through with it's current running time tho in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
So now then since this film is a comedy film after all that means that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film and well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film is in all honesty not that bad. Even tho alot of this films jokes do seem dated by today's standards alot of this film jokes are also really funny and cute in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Overall this film was a really good and a really fun film it's just a shame then that this film bombed at the box office this is despite getting positive reviews otherwise we would have gotten alot more Ducktales films and that could only be a very good thing indeed in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 7.5 out of 10 from me.
Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from IMP Awards . Com , the official Disney fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this very / particular / exact film being obviously Google Images since alot of the images that are from this film and that are currently still indeed up on Google Images are all fairly freaking high in quality and as well as being fairly freaking high in definition.
