Toy Story 4 Film Review
Toy Story fans every single Toy Story film that has been released thus far has been one that has been needed however all of that ended when in 2019 PIXAR and Disney released a Toy Story film that really wasn't needed. This film is a film that really didn't need to be made since the story ended perfectly with Toy Story 3 and so then join me as I review the film that is quite literally a cash grab of a film with the film in question being called simply just "Toy Story 4" enjoy.
The plot of this film is after Bonnie makes a new toy in kindergarten Woody chooses to help to rescue the toy when the toy in question jumps out of the window of the families RV van when the family are taking a road trip. Now then in terms of what I in all honesty personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this film well then in all honesty in I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad but that's also the issue with the film since the previous three films have all had really good plots and so then it's really sad to see that this fourth film couldn't craft a good enough story to be worthy of the Toy Story name in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Starring in this film is Tom Hanks as Woody , Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear and Annie Potts as Bo Peep. Also starring in this film is Tony Hale as Forky , Keegan-Michael Key as Ducky , Jordan Peele as Bunny , Madeleine McGraw as Bonnie , Christina Hendricks as Gabby Gabby , Keanu Reeves as Duke Caboom , Ally Maki as Giggle McDimples , Jay Hernandez as Bonnie's Dad , Lori Alan as Bonnie's Mom , Joan Cusack as Jessie , Wallace Shawn as Rex , John Ratzenberger as Hamm , Blake Clark as Slinky Dog , Don Rickles as Mr. Potato Head , Estelle Harris as Mrs. Potato Head , Jeff Pidgeon as Aliens , Bonnie Hunt as Dolly , Kristen Schaal as Trixie , Jeff Garlin as Buttercup and Timothy Dalton as Mr. Pricklepants.
Now then in terms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actual actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all personally thought / felt that the actual acting that actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really freaking good. Which isn't something that should come as a complete and total surprise to absolutely anybody whatsoever as the Toy Story films have always had some really freaking good acting within them and so then it only makes sense that this film would also have some really freaking acting within it as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Doing the actual animation for this film is of course the legends and the greats that are currently over at Pixar Animation Studios. Now then in terms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty in I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very was in all honesty really freaking good which shouldn't come as a complete and total surprise to absolutely anybody whatsoever since PIXAR always has had good animation in every single freaking one of there freaking films in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
So now then this film really didn't need to exist at all since Toy Story 3 wrapped up the franchise and it's characters perfectly in a nice pretty little bow. As such this film really doesn't need to exist since it's not advancing anything because all of the characters have reached there most naturel stopping point in the previous film and so this film is really only here just to make money for the studios and is nothing more then a cheap cash grab of a film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Now then this film does tell us where Bo Peep went to inbetween the events of Toy 2 and the events of Toy Story 3. Which as someone who has literally grown up with these films that was something that I really did like because that was a character that I had grown up with and so to see in this film and to see her play a more active role in this film was something that I personally found to be rather freaking enjoyable in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
So now then one of the many things that I really didn't like about this film is the fact that not only did all of the new characters or even toys from the first film get sidelined for the vast majority of the film but this film also chose make Buzz lightyear into a dumb person. Both of these things aren't good because these new toys are whom we are handing this franchise of to and yet there not being treated like major characters and the Buzz Lightyear thing doesn't work because of the fact that he's been shown in the past to be quite the intelligent character and yet in this film he's been dumbed down and it just sui or even work for kind of character in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and thirty nine minuets and fifty one seconds. Which is in all honesty a bit of a freaking short running time for a story like this and as such this film does start to feel like it's being rushed along to reach it's ending alot sooner then what is necessary which means that this films plot points don't really work all of that well because because of the fact that this plot points feel rushed and are thus inorganic as heck in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
So now then this film is a comedy film after all which means that I have to talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this film and well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty pretty good. However tho this franchise has had funnier characters and funnier jokes within all three films and all the spin of short films and when the only two characters that are getting big laughs out of people are the characters of Duck and Bunny and the rest of characters aren't given that much funny things to actually say or even do then there is a slight problem then there in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Overall this film isn't a bad film but it's also a clear step down in the quality of pretty much everything barring the animation that is from the previous film and as such I can't really recommend this film because this film is just mediocre at best which for a Toy Story film isn't a good thing at all in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and well then that means that this vert freaking film erns itself a grand old freaking score of exactly a 7.5 out of 10 from me.
Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Disney fandom wiki page and also from the official PIXAR fandom wiki page. With my personally preferred website to use to get images this film being the official Disney fandom wiki page this is because all of the images that I got and that currently up , featured and on the official Disney fandom wiki page are all very fairly freaking high in freaking quality and as well as being fairly freaking being fairly freaking high in freaking definition.
