Once Upon A Deadpool Film Review

 

Marvel fans since we are now just a few short weeks away until Christmas Day I thought that i'd take a look at a film that was released around this same time a few years ago. This film is one of the few films where making a new cut of the film actually resulted in getting a much lower rating from the MPAA and so join me as I review that is literally just Deadpool 2 all over again with the film in question being called simply just "Once Upon A Deadpool" enjoy.

The plot of this film is after the death of his girlfriend Venessa Wade Wilson / Deadpool goes out looking for revenge which brings him into contact with a fourteen year old boy kid whom wants to destroy the whole entire world. Now then in terms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot of this film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot of this film was really freaking good and was in all honesty really freaking well told in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. 

Starring in this film is Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson / Deadpool and as the Voice of Cain Marko / Juggernaut. Also starring in this film is Josh Brolin as Nathan Summers / Cable , Morena Baccarin as Vanessa Carlysle , Julian Dennison as Russell Collins / Firefist , Zazie Beetz as Neena Thurman / Domino , T.J. Miller as Weasel , Leslie Uggams as Blind Al , Karan Soni as Dopinder , Brianna Hildebrand as Ellie Phimister / Negasonic Teenage Warhead , Jack Kesy as Black Tom Cassidy , Eddie Marsan as The Headmaster Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio and Stefan Kapicic as the Voice of Peter Rasputin / Colossus.

Now then in terms of what I personally thought about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was really freaking good. Which really shouldn't come as a surprise to absolutely anybody whatsoever as I also really did like the acting in Deadpool 2 and also because alot of the actors and actresses that are appearing in / starring in this very freaking film are some really freaking good actors and actresses in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Doing the CGI for this film is Double Negative , Framestore , Method Studios , Weta Digital , Soho VFX , Crafty Apes and Trace VFX. Now then in terms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI effects that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI effects that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film were really freaking good which considering that this film had a small budget of just around one hundred and ten million American dollars having good CGI was something that I in all honesty wasn't expecting to be in this film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then as pretty much everybody will know this film is literally just Deadpool 2 but trimmed down to make it an American rating of PG-13. Which they archived  by bleeping out or changing swearing swords and by cutting or changing all scenes with gore in them by cutting all scenes with somebody smoking in them but yet they still managed to make this film in all honesty really freaking fun to watch in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now also helping with the more tamer rating is the fact that this film has it's own very freaking unique framing device since in this film the story of Deadpool 2 is being told by Deadpool himself to a now grown up Fred Savage in scenes that are meant to be similar to the scenes The Princess Bride. This is something that I personally think / feel Deadpool would actually do just for the fun of it but at the same time alot of these wrap around scenes are just for the sake of being meta like there not really adding to anything there just using things that fans complained about online and having Deadpool or Fred Savage those exact same things which just isn't that clever nor is it also that funny or fun to watch in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. 

Now then this film kind of doesn't have a main and rather interesting villain which is something that I really didn't like about this film. Since even tho both Russel and cable start out as villains by the end of the film there good guys and yet inbetween that Deadpool himself has had no real interesting villains to fight in this film and a hero is only as interesting as the villain that there paired up against in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then this film has / had a grand total running time of exactly one hour and fifty eight minuets and twenty seven seconds. Which oddly feels a tad bit on the long side for this film this might be because all we the audience are doing is just watching a watered down of Deadpool 2 with a few new scenes sprinkled in here and there or it might be because this films story isn't a particularly strong story either way this films running time should have been quite a bit shorter in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. 

Now then since this film is an action film after all that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this film and well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was really cool. Which is in all honesty the best thing that I can say about the action that's in this film altho I will say that this films action does also include some really freaking funny jokes as well as some really freaking cool freaking action moves in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. 

Overall this film was a really good version of Deadpool 2 and this film is also a lot freaking better then what iyt really had any freaking right to be since this film could so very easily have been a bad freaking film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and well all of that means that this film erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 7.5 out of 10 from me.
