Ali G Indahouse Film Review

Fans of Sacha Baron Cohen know all about the actors most popular film Borat but so few people know about one of his first films and that's honestly a shame because the film in question is in all honesty that freaking good and as such. I thought that i'd take a look at the film in question and so join me as I review the film that helped put Sacha Baron Cohen on the map with the film in question being called simply just "Ali G Indahouse" enjoy.

The plot of this film is in order to save his precious leisure centre Ali G has to run for MP of Steins and in doing so he discovers a plan to usurp the current Prime Minister and a plan to destroy and thus wipe Steins of the map forever. Now then in terms of what I personally thought about the plot of this very film in all honesty I in all honesty thought that the plot of this film was the perfect film for the character of Ali G since the plot of this very film was wonderfully absurd and the plot of this film was also wonderfully fun to see play out and as well as being wonderfully engaging in my opinion anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is this one of this film's co-writers and producers Sacha Baron Cohen as Ali G / Borat and Sir Michael Gambon as The Prime Minister. Also starring in this film is Charles Dance as Deputy Prime Minister David Carlton , Kellie Bright as Julie , Martin Freeman as Ricky C , Rhona Mitra as Kate Hedges , Barbara New as Nan , Ray Panthaki as Hassan B , Emilio Rivera as Ricco , Paul Clayton as Alan Swan Lake , Olegar Fedoro as Russian Minister , Tony Way as Dangerous Dave , Graham McTavish as A Customs officer , Naomi Campbell as Herself , Nabil Elouahabi as Jezzy F and Capri Ashby as Nurse Nina.

Now then as for what I personally thought / felt about the acting that's / that is featured / presented to us in this very film in all honesty I in all honesty thought that the acting that's / that is featured / presented to us in this very film was shockingly really good. Which was surprising to me since alot of the actors and actresses that are appearing in / starring in this very film / movie haven't really done acting for feature films before and so I was honestly very freaking surprised to see how good the acting that's in this film well and truly freaking was.

Now then this is something that not alot of people realise heck I myself forgot all about this until a few years ago but the character of Borat actually doesn't make his feature film debut in his own solo film but rather the character of Borat instead makes his feature film debut in this film and it's in a scene that lasts about eighteen seconds or so. This was honestly quite surprising to me since even I first saw this film when it first came out in cinemas / theatres I honestly couldn't / didn't recall the character of Borat even being in this film but it's nice to see this character make his feature film debut in a small film before going on to set the world of comedy films on fire in his freaking own feature length film / motion picture.

For those of you that don't know or perhaps ether didn't know or realise or just straight up forgot this film is the first film to star / feature one of the many characters that was / were created the great Sacha Baron Cohen and more importantly this is the first feature film to star any of the characters that were created by Sacha Baron Cohen for the UK TV series Da Ali G Show and while yes there was an American TV show that also starred Sacha Baron Cohen and was also called Da Ali G Show. The American version only spawned the character of Bruno and well the film the film that featured / starred the character was Bruno was really bad where as the UK version of Da Ali G Show spawned two characters that alot of people like and three really good feature length films.

Now then unlike both of the Borat films and the Bruno film this film isn't a mockumentary but this film is instead more of a traditional film and this is something that I can see putting people off. Especially if those exact same people are more then used to seeing Sacha Baron Cohen making a mockumentary film but while the mockumentary format works well for characters like Borat and to a much lesser extent Bruno it doesn't work for the character of Ali G since the characters of Borat and Bruno you could very well argue were designed to be offensive and be designed to question ourselves but where as the character of Ali G is better suited to a more traditional style of film and a more traditional style of film making.

Now then even tho i've been very freaking positive about this film thus far and I will be even more positive about this film later on in the review there are some things that I personally didn't like the first of which being the main villain of this film. Since I personally found the villain of this film to be a little bit on the weak side of things since he literally doesn't do anything for the vast majority of the film nor do we get to find out why he's evil and so he just comes across as being evil for the sake of being evil which isn't even good enough and the other thing that I didn't like about this film is the fact that this film even had a main villain to begin with since this kind of story doesn't really demand Ali G have a villainous character to face of against and so the film's main villain just comes across as being very freaking unneeded in my opinion anyways / at least.

Now then this film has a grand total running time of exactly one hour and twenty seven minuets and two seconds and well if i'm being well and truly very freaking honest here people this was the film lasted the exact right amount of time in my very humble and as well as being in my honest opinion anyways / at least. This is because of the very simply fact that this film doesn't really have enough there / alot of story to cover anything that's even anywhere even close two hours let alone one hour and thirty minuets.

Now then since this film is actually a comedy fil after all that means that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy / jokes that are actually featured / presented to us in this very / actual film / movie itself and in all honesty the comedy / jokes that's featured / presented to us in this very /actual film itself were very hit and miss for me personally. This is simply because alot of the jokes that are in this very film are all jokes that just aren't that funny anymore which is a shame because when this film does indeed tell a funny joke that exact same funny joke really does land and thus really work well and thus gets a genuine laugh out of me personally.

Overall this is a really good film that has alot of genuinely really funny moments in it it's just a shame then that the exact same time there's also alot of bad things that are in this very film and sadly it's those exact same bad things that hold this film back from being a perfect film which is a shame because there is a good film in this very film that's just waiting to get out. Now i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and that means that this films gets a grand score of a 6 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I got all of the images that I used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from two sources with those exact same internet sources being Wikipedia and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images this film being Google Images this is because all of the images that I got and that currently up , featured and on Google Images are all fairly high in quality and as well as being fairly high in definition.
