Iron Man 2 Film Review

Marvel fans this coming Friday sees the return to films being set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the release of Black Widow and as such you just know that I had to produce a review in order to tie into the release of the Black Widow live action film. However with there being two films that would make the perfect tie in review it was honestly hard for me to choose which film would be the Black Widow film tie in review but as you can see I did infact make a choice on what film to review and so join me as I review the film that alot of people have forgotten about with the film itself being called simply just "Iron Man 2" enjoy.

The plot of the film is a Russian scientist wants to use his own version of the Iron Man technology in order to kill Tony Stark and so it's up to Tony Stark to stop the Russian scientist before it's fat to late. Now then in terms of what I thought about the plot that's featured / presented to us in this film in all honesty I personally thought that the plot that's featured / presented to us in this particular / very film was very weak at best since the plot of the film gets very little focus with alot of the films focus instead going to scenes that don't really anything to the actual plot of the / this film.

Starring in this film is Robert Downey, Jr. as Tony Stark / Iron Man and Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts. Also starring in this film is Don Cheadle as James Rhodes/War Machine , Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow , Sam Rockwell as Justin Hammer , Mickey Rourke as Ivan Vanko / Whiplash , Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury , Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson , John Slattery as Howard Stark , Garry Shandling as Senator Stern , Paul Bettany as The Voice Of J.A.R.V.I.S. and Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan.

Now then in terms of what I thought about the acting that's featured / presented to us in this film in all honesty I personally thought that the acting that's featured / presented to us in his film was really freaking good. This is not really surprising since pretty much all of the actors and actresses that are starring in this film are really good actors and actresses and so it only makes sense that they would turn in some really good performances in this particular / very film.

Doing the CGI for this film is Industrial Light & Magic , Pixomondo , The Embassy , Trixter , Svengali Visual Effects , Double Negative , Prologue Films , Pixel Liberation Front , Fuel VFX , Perception , Evil Eye Pictures and Lola Visual Effects. Please note that i've not listed every single CGI effects company that provided the CGI effects for this film simply because there was so many of them that i'd still be writing down who the effects for this film on Friday because there's that many companies who provided CGI effects for this film and I have to say that apart from a few / one or two dodgy looking CGI shots the CGI in this film is really freaking good.

Now then as you might have figured out the reason as to why I chose this film to review instead of the other film (which was Avengers: Endgame) is because this is the first Marvel Cinematic Universe debut / appearance of Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow and well I really did like how she was treated in this film. Since in this film we don't really get to find out anything about her and simply just doe to the fact that she's a spy we don't really know if we can trust which means that we cannot trust anything that she does because she could very well turn on Tony Stark at moment and that is who Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow is since she's a spy and spies are meant to do whatever that they can to get the information that they want / need out of you.

However tho with that being said Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow does come of as being little flat as a character. Since we don't really get to see what her personality is like and so the character just comes across as being very freaking two dimensional and very stereotypical since she just comes across as the stereotypical spy and nothing more then that which is to be expected since the Marvel Cinematic Universe develops there characters over a series of films instead of giving us one fully formed character in one film which does make sense in the long run but in the short term it doesn't make any kind of sense whatsoever since you only get one chance to make a good first impression and well Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow didn't really make that good of a first impression on me back when I first saw this film because I honestly did forget that she was even in this film because that's how lifeless the character is in this film.

Another thing that I really didn't like about this film are the films villains which are Justin Hammer (Sam Rockwell) and Ivan Vanko / Whiplash (Mickey Rourke) since both characters simply just across as uninteresting villains / characters. This is due to the fact that we don't know why these two people want to take defeat Tony Stark plus we are not given a reason to want to see these villains get defeated and so both villains just come across as boring and forgettable villains / characters.

Now then this film has a running time of one hour and fifty nine minuets and eighteen seconds and well this film really didn't need to be that long at all. Since the film barely has any kind of plot to speak of and so you very easily could have done the plot of this film in roughly / about one hour and thirty minuets and all you'd have to cut out of the film are scenes that dont anything to the actual plot of this / the film plus with this long running time the film does oddly feel a bit boring since there's very little going on to advance the plot of the film which simply wouldn't be the case if the film had a much shorter running time since then every single scene would need to be about advancing the plot of the / this particular / very film.

Now then boys and girls this film is an action film after all and so / well that means that I have to actually talk about the action that's / that is featured / presented to us in this very film and well if i'm being really freaking honest here people the action that's featured / presented to us in this film is really good and on top of that the action is really entertaining and creative. Both of which are things that you actually want to see in an action film.

Overall this was a pretty forgettable film which is really saying something since it introduces a character who would of course go onto play a really big role in the films that are set within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now then since i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this film in this very review this means that this film gets a score of a 6.5 out of 10 from this Marvel and Marvel Cinematic Universe fan.

Now then as for where I got all of the images I used in this very review well then boys and girls and ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I used in this very review from the official Marvel Cinematic Universe fandom wiki page and nowhere else and since I only went to the official Marvel Cinematic Universe fandom wiki page and nowhere else. I have no choice but to recommend that you guys use the official Marvel Cinematic Universe fandom wiki page since nearly / pretty much all of the images that are currently on the official Marvel Cinematic Universe fandom wiki page are all fairly high in quality and as well as being fairly high definition.
