Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Film Review

Turtles fans i've reviewed alot of actually good Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies in the past and so it only makes sense that I now take a look at some of the bad to pretty average Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles simply because it would be very easy for me to review a good TMNT movie. However it would be more fun for me to review a TMNT movie that is at best average and join me as I review the 2914 film with the film in question being called simply just "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" enjoy.

The plot of this film is The Shredder and Eric Sacks plan on unleashing a virus over New York City and it's up the Turtles and their new alleys April O'Neil and her cameraman Vern Fenwick to stop them before it's far to late. In terms of what I thought about the plot of this film in all honesty the plot of this film is at best average since it's just the standard action movie plot but I will admit that this film does handle this plot really well and in my opinion at least the plot of this film is really well told.

Starring in this film is Megan Fox as April O'Neil , Will Arnett as Vern Fenwick and Johnny Knoxville as The Voice Of Leonardo. Also starring in this film is Jeremy Howard as The Voice Of Donatello , Alan Ritchson as The Voice Of Raphael , Noel Fisher as The Voice Of Michelangelo , Tony Shalhoub as The Voice Of Splinter , Tohoru Masamune as The Shredder , Minae Noji as Karai and Whoopi Goldberg as Bernadette Thompson.

As for / in terms of what what I personally thought about the acting that's featured / presented to us in this film in all honesty the acting that's featured / presented to us in this film isn't that bad. However on the other the acting that's featured / presented to us in this film isn't that good either since while the actors playing the turtles are doing a good and while Megan Fox is doing a good job the rest of the cast just aren't bothering to put in a good performance with their acting come across as either wooden or just really over the top either one of which clashes with this films more serious tone.

Doing the CGI effects for this film is the greats over at Industrial Light & Magic , Image Engine Design , Base FX , Tippett Studio , Virtuos , Hybride Technologies , Atomic Fiction , Shade VFX and Lola Visual Effects. In terms of what I thought about the CGI effects that are un this film in all honesty the actual none turtle CGI effects look pretty good for the most part however there are one or two bad looking none turtle CGI effects which look really bad however things take an even worse turn when it comes to the turtles and Splinter who just look horrible every single wrong choice that you could make when designing these characters for this film was made and it really does show but I'm willing to admit that the actual animation on both the turtles and on Splinter is actually really good it's just the actual effect and design which lets both the turtles and Splinter down massively in my very humble and as well as being in my very honest opinion anyways.

This film is pretty much April O'Neil: The Movie since she is the main human character in this movie and she gets a shocking amount of screen time. This wouldn't be a bad thing since the original 1990 April O'Neil had alot of screen time as well however this film puts so much focus on April that it takes away the focus from the turtles which wouldn't be a bad think if the film was called April O'Neil: The Movie but it's not called April O'Neil: The Movie it's called "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" and as such the focus of this film should be more on the turtles and should not April.

What I found to be a really interesting addition to this film is the fact that both the turtles and Splinter were Aprils childhood pets. However the film really does nothing with that idea like for example how cool would it be to see April get to re-establish that relationship with her childhood pets and have that bond that all of the characters be a way for April to get over and move on from the death of her father but sadly the film does nothing with the idea of the turtles and Splinter being April's childhood pets outside of mentioning it / bringing it up ' bring it up a few times which for an idea this cool and this fresh and this new isn't enough and it makes the idea seem like a waste.

Lets talk about the fact that Splinter tought himself and the turtles the art of ninjitsu by reading a book because that idea is not only stupid in it's execution but it's also stupid and idiotic on paper as well. Honestly there was nothing with the way that Splinter has always known martial arts since he's always known martial arts by watching his now dead master and that origin made sense because of cause Splinter know these things because he's seen these moves and these skills being practised day un and day out by his now dead master however since the original of the turtles and Splinter was changed so to was the way that both he and turtles learned martial arts and honestly they could have fixed this just by saying that Splinter learned martial arts from watching old martial arts movies that right there is a good to update the way of how the turtles and Splinter learned the art of ninjitsu.

This film has a grand total running time of one hour forty one minuets and eighteen seconds which is honestly about right for this film. Since the plot of this film is so simply and is so generic but at the same time I would have preferred it if this film was alot closer to two hours since then we could or even would have gotten more time with the turtles and that would have allowed for each of the turtles respective personalities to be fleshed out a bit more but that's just what I personally think and that's just in my very humble and as well as being in my very honest opinion anyways.

Now then boys and girls since / this film is an action film after all that means that I have to talk about the actual action that's featured / presented to us in the actual film itself and if i'm being really freaking honest here boys and girls the action that's featured / presented to us in this film is where this film shines the best. Simply because the action that's featured / presented to us in this film is so fun and it shows what the turtles are like when they are at there best which honestly in my opinion at least makes the action sequences in this film very exciting to watch.

Overall the best word that I can use to describe this film is average since this film does have some things going for it but it also has alot of things working against / going against it. Now then boys and girls since i've talked about both of the good and both of the bad things that are in this film in this very review that means that this film gets a perfectly average score of a 5 out of 10 from this fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

As for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls I got all of the images that I used un this review from Google Images and from the official Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fandom wiki page. With my personal preferred website to use to get images from this film being the official Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fandom wiki page simply just due to how high quality and how definition the images that are on the official Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are and PS sorry for my little rant about the idea of Splinter and thus the turtles learning the art ninjitsu from a book it's just that I had alot to say about that very subject so I thought that i'd let it all out in this very review.
