F9 Film SPOILER FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review

 

Fans of The Fast & The Furious film franchise there now is a new film in this somehow still ongoing franchise that has just been released and as such you just know that I had to review this movie / film the first chance that I got. I will fully admit that i've been really excited for this film since I do find these films to be really enjoyable and so join me as I review the latest film in the The Fast & The Furious franchise with the film in question being called simply just "F9" and yes this review will be spoiler free and so enjoy the review everyone.

The plot of this film is a Doms brother Jakob Toretto is trying to take over the world by using something that can basically hack anything that Jakob Toretto wants to hack and so it's now up to Dom and the rest of the fast family to save the day once again. Nobody goes into a Fast & The Furious movie for the plot and well it does show in all of the film since in every single film including this one and so the story is ridiculous and because the story of this film is so ridiculous it means that the film can get away with more stupid stuff because it's not going to be bogged down with telling a good or even a passable story.

Starring in this film is Vin Diesel as Dominic Toretto , Michelle Rodriguez as Letty Ortiz and Tyrese Gibson as Roman Pearce. Also starring in this film is Chris "Ludacris" Bridges as Tej Parker , Nathalie Emmanuel as Ramsey , Jordana Brewster as Mia Toretto , John Cena as Jakob Toretto , Charlize Theron as Cipher , Helen Mirren as Magdalene Shaw , Kurt Russell as Mr. Nobody and rapper Cardi B as Leysa.

In terms of what I personally thought about the acting that's featured / presented to us in this film in all honesty the acting that's that's featured / presented to us in this film is on par with what you'd expect the acting in a The Fast & The Furious film to be. Since yeah the acting is pretty average at best but just like with the plot nobody goes into one of these films expecting great acting so to expect acting from this film would be just ridiculous and really in my opinion at least stupid a all heck.

Doing the CGI for this film is Double Negative , Factory VFX , Industrial Light & Magic , Lola VFX UK and Tianjin Jiuyan Culture Media Co. In terms of what I thought about the CGI that's featured / presented to us in this film in all honesty the CGI that's featured / presented to us in this film is every mixed bag since there are some good CGI effects in this film but there are also alot of dodgy looking / very projection as well but what makes both the CGI effects and the projection good is the lighting from whatever scene is using CGI or projection actually matches with the CGI and the projection which really does help sell me on both the CGI and the projection that's featured / presented to us in this very film.

This if the first film in the The Fast & The Furious film franchise to be directed by director Justin Lin and I have to say that it was good having him back to direct this film. Simply because he love practical effects and that is something you get to see alot of in this very film and that to me makes this film better because practical effects will always look ten times better then even the best CGI effects plus Justin Lin knows this franchise and that in my opinion at least always helps because it shows that he's a fan of this franchise and so he wouldn't want to let these characters down by turning in a bad film.

With director Justin Lin returning that does mean that a certain fan favourite character from the previous film also returns. However as tempted as I am i'm going to spoil who that character is but i will say that this certain character does play a big part in the film and we also get to find out that this certain character has some history with Mr. Nobody but sadly the film does nothing with this piece of backstory and so it comes across as filler and nothing more then that.

This film also marks a first for the The Fast & The Furious film franchise since it features a returning villain which in this case is the character of Cipher. I won't say how this character is used in this film but I did find what they did with this particular character in this particular film to be a bit of a let down and I can't why how this character was used in this film was a bit of a let down because it's a tad bit of a spoiler and I want this review to remain as spoiler free as is humanly possible.

Now then boys and girls this film does infact have a grand total running time of two hours eleven minuets and nine seconds and if i'm being honest here boys and girls this film didn't really feel that long at all in my opinion at least. This might because the film does cram in an action scene what seems like every ten minuets or it could be because this particular film does infact have some really good pacing or it could be both I can't really tell but it does also help that this film does have more then enough story to cover that running time tho.

Now then boys and girls this film is an action film after all and that means that we have to talk about the actual action that's featured / presented to us in the actual film itself and if i'm being really freaking honest here boys and girls we all go to a Fast & The Furious movie to see the action sequences and well to put it bluntly the action that's featured / resented to us in this film is so freaking good. This is because the makers of this film pretty much have free reign to do whatever they want in the action sequences in these films since these films don't take themselves very seriously and so the stunt team and whoever the action scenes for these films can do alot more crazier action sequences then they perhaps could have done if these films took themselves very seriously and it really does help that the action that's featured / resented to us in this film is (in my very humble and as well being in my very honest opinion at least) very freaking cool to say the least.

Overall this is a really enjoyable movie and while it won't attract any new fans to this franchise the people have followed these films for a long time will hopefully be left more then satisfied. Now then ladies and gentlemen since i've talked about all f the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this film in this very review this film gets a modest score of an 8 out of from this fan of The Fast & The Furious film franchise.
