How To Make A Good Looney Tunes Movie
Well hello there cartoon and Looney Tunes fans i was going to review the second and so far last live action Looney Tunes movie but i thought this movie isn't worth the effort because it's not a true looney tunes movie and then i thought "How Could You Do A Looney Tunes Movie" and i'm going to answer that question right now.
One of the few things that Space Jam got right is the fact that it kept the Looney Tunes and the animated world and this is vital because that's where they are aloud to be crazy if you take the characters out of the animated world then it doesn't work but if you keep them in the animated world then you can go wild with those characters because in there world anything can happen at anytime and that's funny.
Looney Tunes was known for it's great writing and i think overtime people have forgotten that aspect and focused more on the slap stick but people forget that most of those shorts had great witty writing that set up the slap stick so if your making a Looney Tunes this is something that has to come back because not only will it help make a great movie but it will also stay true to the spirit of the original shorts and is something that both Back In Action and Space Jam really didn't do.
Make of her what you will but i think Lola was a great addition to the cast of characters when she first debuted in Space jam and i think it's a shame she didn't make at least a cameo in Back In Action my point being if your making a Looney Tunes movie all aspects of the franchise have to embraced both good and bad and this includes characters like Rocky & Mugsy who don't get that much love either but it also includes Lola.
I'll admit the plot to Back In Action was very inventive but it felt like a live action movie that just so happend to include the Looney Tunes but this doesn't have to be the case you can have an inventive plot and have it include the Looney Tunes the important thing is you have to make them the main stars of there own movie.
Both live action films have great voice acting which for me at least is very important and is something that needs to continue in any future movies since the characters are so beloved so here would be my ideal cast as Bugs would be Billy West as Daffy we would have Dee Bradley Baker as Lola would be Rachel Ramras basically i would cast people who i think have a great grip on those characters.
Since this Looney Tunes movie would and should be all animated the animation should be on point i personally would prefer it to be traditional hand drawn animation like the older shorts are but i would be open to doing it either CGI or in flash but it has to be really good and damn near perfect don't forget these are characters that everyone has grown up on.
Now i'll admit there was somethings i liked about Back In Action and one of those things was the fourth wall jokes if i was making a new Looney Tunes movie i would have some of those jokes as they would be the types of jokes that the characters would make but you have to get rid of any and all poop jokes and all burp and fart jokes those aren't funny. The original shorts always treated there audiences as if there smart and that is something that the live action movies havn't done they've pandered more to the younger fan base that's not always a bad thing but you have to include some jokes for the adults as well.
Lastly and i think this is most important the characters have to be how you remember them being in the shorts Space jam came under fire for not staying true to the characters (i personally think they did) but Back In Action did the exact same thing Daffy was always money hungry but he wouldn't try and be the hero and Bugs wouldn't stand there while Daffy runs off to stop Marvin that's out of character for those two so if a new movie was to be made they would have to stay true to the characters.
Guys i made this post not to show how i would make a Looney Tunes movie but how i think one should be done but these are just my opinions tho and i would very much like to hear how you would make a Looney Tunes movie but for now there's only one way to end this post.
