Brave Review

Hello there Disney and PIXAR fans i'm here to give you a review of a movie that i never got to see when it first came out and that movie is Brave.

Lets start of with the story shall we the story for this film determined to make her own path in life, Princess Merida defies a custom that brings chaos to her kingdom. Granted one wish, Merida must rely on her bravery and her archery skills to undo a beastly curse.. The film honestly does feel pretty rushed especially when it comes to it's story when the story gets started at around the half an hour mark it then just decides to rush through all of the story beats.

 The voice cast for the film do a pretty good job in this movie i personally really liked Kelly Macdonald as Merida and Emma Thompson as the queen both do a really good Scottish accent and Merida as a character is also really good she's a far cry from the princesses of Disney past in that she's the kind of girl who will get stuff done and not just tell her butler what needs doing.

The animation in the film is really good i really loved the look of Merida her wild style and wild hair really suit her character and as someone who is an animation fan i loved seeing all the little details that was included on her character modal. As i said the animation is really good it was kind of a dip down in quality for PIXAR at least for me it was but even so it was still better then most animated films that came out at that point.

The music in this film was really good there was a song near the start of the movie which was really good and really fitted in with the Scottish setting and with the characters Patrick Doyle he composer for the film did a really good job incorporating traditional Scottish instruments into his score and it was something that i really liked.

Overall i can see why this film is overlooked by both Disney and PIXAR fans it's not the best PIXAR film but it's not there worst and i'm glad it hasn't gotten a sequel because there would be know where for the story to go without repeating themselves so for me this is a 7 out of 10
