Coyote Vs. Acme Film SPOILER FILLED Film Review

For generation the Looney Tunes have helped us with the power of laughter and yet right now they are they ones that need our help. As Warner Bros Picture the company that owns them are doing more harm to them then good with it being thanks to Ketchup Entertainment that we even got the most beloved Looney Tues movies in recent memory The Day The Earth Blew Up in the first place and well now that same company is back releasing another Looney Tunes feature film that Warner Bros cancelled the release of for no good reason and so then join me as I give you mt SPOILER FLED review of the film that Warner Bros really didn't want you to see with the film in question being called simply just "Coyote Vs. Acme" enjoy.

The plot of this film is when more Acme Products backfire on him one two many times Wile E. Coyote hires a lawyer and together they have to bring Acme down before they themselves end up wiped out by Acme.  Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With there being alot of thought and love put into this film plot with the films plot feeling more true to who the Looney Tunes are then the plot for Space Jam: A New Legacy as here you can tell that the makers of this film do have a love and respect for all of the characters. The films plot whilst it isn't as hood as the plot for The Day The Earth Blew Up was it was still a really good plot in it's own right as this idea is one that alot of people have been thinking about for years and yet here it is on the big screen where it should be and while it would have been very easy for the makers of this film to just give us the bare minimum of a plot as this film is meant to be a kids film after all the fact that they don't and they do go the extra mile with the films plot by making a plot that you do care about and by giving it alot of thought and focus does show us the audience that there is still good plots to be have with these characters if Warner Bros is willing to give them a chance and actually release the finished film with the plot of this film also being really rather entertaining and a swell as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Will Forte as Kevin Avery , Lana Condor as Paige Avery and Tone Bell as Sal Maltese. Also starring in this film is Luis Guzmán as Judge Troppogrosso , Martha Kelly as Dottie Jones , Eric Bauza as Bugs Bunny , Charlie Dog , Daffy Duck , Senator Elmer Fudd , Gossamer , Foghorn Leghorn , Dr. Peter Lorre , Marvin The Martian , Pepé Le Pew , Porky Pig , Pete Puma , Road Runner , Yosemite Sam , Sylvester and Tweety , Candi Milo as Granny , Witch Hazel , Miss Prissy and Mrs. Sylvester , Jim Cummings as the Tasmanian Devil , Paul Julian as Road Runner , P. J. Byrne as Bill Pellicano , Kenneth Choi as Oscar Jeon , John Early as Henry Heslop and John Cena as Buddy Crane.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. The fact that this film has some good acting in it is something that is both surprising and yet also not that surprising as alot of the films live action actors aren't that well known and those that are usually play the same type of character in everything there in and therefor it would have been foolish to expect a good performance from alot of them and yet with the films voice actors the acting is really good with Eric Bauza sharing the role of Road Runner with archive recordings of Paul Julian and you really can't tell with Eric pretty being the Mel Blanc of the film  in that he voices all of the male Looney Tunes characters and while some of his performances for those characters are off and while his performance as Daffy in The Day The Earth Blew Up was really good with him having a good voice for the character here he has a better Porky voice then what he did in the same film. With the best actor in the whole entire film being Eric Bauza as he does have to play alot of characters in this film and not only do they have to sound like how we the audience know them to sound like but he also has to put his twist on them to make it his own with the thing that really stood out and what really made him the best actor in this film was his Road Runner voice as you really can't tell that it's him doing the voice as it blends so well with the achieve recordings with his own natural charm and charisma really coming through in this performance. With the acting that's in this very film really being helped by the fact that this films plot is just so good that all this films actors have to do is just say the lines as they are written and a good performance will come out of them naturally which is something that really does help to raise the overall quality of the acting that's in this very film.

Doing the animation for this film is the legends and the greats that are currently over at Double Negative. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. This film is of course a live action hybrid film with the film using 2D shaded 3D CGI to bring all of the animation characters to life with the films animation looking pretty decent with the characters blending in really well with the live action actors with there being a great level of care and attention put into making the animated characters feel real in a live action setting. With alot of the animated characters even getting reflections which is something that the makers of this film really didn't have to do as no one is going to be looking for Wile E's reflection on a floor but yet they went ahead and they added it in in the first place and while this films animation is mostly really good it would have been better if it was actual 2D animation and not 3D CGI done to look like 2D animation as films like the original Space Jam and Looney Tunes: Back In Action did prove that you can have these 2D animated characters in a 3D world and while we do get alot of really good looking animation in this film the film does oddly feel held back due to the fact that it's a live action film as the Looney Tunes themselves aren't allowed to be as fully Looney as we know them to be this is despite the fact that all of the characters do look really good in this film but the film doesn't allow them to be as animated as they can be as they have human co-stars that are done in live action.

SPOILERS START HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can tell right away that the makers of this film do have a deep level of love for not only the Looney Tunes characters but for the brand as a whole as not only do they have obscure characters like Dr. Lorre , Charlie Dog and Peter Puma all of whom get speaking roles in the film. We also have alot of classic nods and winks to classic Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner shorts with alot of the stuff that Wile E. is suing Acme for being actual gadgets that he used in the shorts and not just ones that are made up for the film like that very easily could have been this is something that does show you that the makers of this film love the Looney Tunes as they didn't have to add in obscure characters that not alot of people know of they could have just stuck wit the classic characters and it would have worked just fine with the same thing also being true for the gadgets they could have invented a bunch of them and nothing would change about the film. However it's the fact that they did go that extra mile that makes this film stand out as alot of the characters that we see in this film are actual Looney Tunes characters with even the likes of Mama Bear showing up briefly at the end of the film and it was nice to Witch Hazel have a peaking role in a theatrically released Looney Tunes film and while The Day The Earth Blew Up didn't have any Looney Tunes characters outside of Daffy , Porky and Petunia that film really didn't need any other characters as Daffy and Porky are big characters in there own right but here given the fact that the main character doesn't talk they did kind of have to give us some of the more heavy hitters and that's exactly what they did do albeit in what is basically a cameo role, yet it was still nice to see all of these classic gadgets some going back as far as the original Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner cartoon Fast And Furry-ous heck even the last names of fours of the characters are references and nods to classic Looney Tues directors Tex Avery and Chick Jones and writer Michael Maltese with it being him and Chuck Jones that co-created Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner in the first place.

There is no way to talk abut this film and not talk about the fact that much like with several other films Warner Bros cancelled this film after it was made and edited with everything done added to it all with them cancelling the film and calling it a tax write off. However unlike both Batgirl and Scoob: Holiday Haunt both of which are now effectively lost media the fans of the Looney Tunes went nuts when they found out that this film was even going to be cancelled and protested Warner Bros , they wrote signs and they shared posts on social media made by Eric Bauza in support of the film getting a release and while Warner Bros at first wanted a ridiculous amount for the film which might have been around $50 to $80 million dollars they did eventually sell the film to Ketchup Entertainment who right now are doing more good for the Looney Tunes then the actual owners of the Looney Tunes characters. As they also did the same thing for The Day The Earth Blew Up as well with both that film and this film being films that prove that there is still life in the Looney Tunes and while there are other bigger films out right now at the cinemas we should all go and see this film to show Warner Bros that they were wrong to try and cancel this film in the first place as these characters deserve our love and our respect and right now that is something that Warner Bros just isn't giving them as they are more focused on chasing a trend then they are in showing respect to what came before as alot of the films that Warner Bros cancelled are all films that involve legacy characters and while no one was asking for a solo Batgirl film people still love Scooby-Doo yet they cancelled a holiday short film for the same reason that this film was cancelled and if this film is a hit then it might convince them to look back at the stuff that they did cancel and give them the chance to see the light of day even if it's just as a direct to DVD  movie it would still be better then nothing at all.

In something that will make alot of the classic Looney Tunes fans pretty angry they do make characters like Tweety and Foghorn Leghorn out to be kind of villains in this film. With Foghorn Leghorn for sure being one of the more major villains in the film as he is mean to be a top executive at Acme with hi being fully aware of the fact that all of the companies gadgets made for cartoons are broken and are being sold in that state to get them ready for human customers which is something that does go against his character as in quite literally alot of the other Looney Tunes media he's always been this smart talking rooster who could get the best out of anyone just by talkin to them which to be fair is something that they do use in this film as he does talk the entire senate to over turn all of the charges made against Acme. Yet with Tweety while he is still portrayed as being a bad guy for alot of the film they do give an in world reasoning behind it in that he's being forced to work for them due to the fact that his owner Dr. Lorre disappeared trying to expose Acme with Tweety even being force to stay away from Granny because of it which is a believable reason for him to act like a villain alot of the time with him even screwing up alot of the plans to capture Wile E. therefor it is hard to say that he's fully evil in this film but yeah even hi being forced to be evil does feel out of character for him especially when there are other evil characters in this film like for example Yosemite Sam who could have played that kind of role even better and yet for no reason Yosemite Sam is portrayed as being a good guy in the film and Tweety is for a long portion of the film meant t be a bad guy.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and thirty four minuets and fifty four seconds. Which is a really good running time for this film as while the film the film doesn't for obvious reasons have to set up the animated characters it does still have to set up the human characters with the human characters actually being just as interesting as the films animated characters due to the fact that this film does take the time to fully flesh alot of them out to the point where we do cheer for the characters that the films wants to us to cheer for the boo the ones that the films wants us to boo with the film even having more then enough plot there to really cover that amount of running time in the first place. Yet this film really doesn't use it's running time all that wisely as the film doesn't take the time to fully develop all that much as while there are things that are added to the plot that do work the films plot is still a bit on the thin side due to the fact that we aren't given a reason as to why we want to see Wile E and Kevin win there case against Acme outside of the fact that there the good guys and heck we don't really get to find out what Project Sisyphus is in the first place and that's mean to be a key part of the film with the makers of this film putting more thought and effort into giving other Looney Tunes characters cameos then they are in giving the films plot some actual plot development. However tho the film does give it's characters some character development as both Kevin and to a lesser extent Wile E do end up growing as characters due to that they go threw in this film with Kevin learning not to give up on  being a lawyer and to put in the work and Wile E learns that he does have friends with both Kevil and Road Runner openly admitting to liking him and while this doesn't make him stop wanting to chase the Road Runner it does show you that even the characters that people think are evil can be seen as being good but I really will admit that this film really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then this film is mean to be a comedy and that really does mean that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With the entire first scene with both Road Runner and Wile E. feeling like a classic Road Runner cartoon with them chasing each other and Wile E failing time and time again to capture and while this does indeed feed into the main plot of the film it was still good to see all of these classic comedy moments done again only this time in a big screen film. With the best joke in the whole entire film being when Kevin just straight up asks why he's always chasing the Road Runner and Wile E. just straight up holds up an empty sign as even he doesn't know why he's still doing it which is a solid enough reference to the fact that no one knows why he's chasing the character in the first place as he does seem to be doing for it for difference reasons depending on the cartoon and while the film does have alot of slapstick comedy which is really well animated its this one gag that did get the biggest laugh out of me as while it's not as looney as alot of the other jokes in the film it is one that is simple and it gets a laugh because of how simple it is and when the film is throwing several jokes at a minuets with even the opening Warner Bros logo making a joke about how they are owned by Acme it really is something when this one simple joke gets the biggest laugh with the rest of the films jokes being just as good as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at leasr.

SPOILERS END HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Overall look avoid all of the big films for these next few weeks and go and see something like this film as this is the film that needs your attention more then any big film does as if this film really is a hit and it deserves to be one then it will be prove to Warner Bros that people want to see more Looney Tunes stuff on the big screen in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad rings that are in this very film in this very review and as such that really doe mean that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 7.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review ell then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from Looney Tunes Wiki . Com . IMP Awards .
