The A-Team Film Review

Every so often Hollywood likes to remind us that a TV show once existed by making a pretty bad movie adaptation out of it. Yet with the film that im about to review for you all today that doesn't really work as the show it self wasn't really that good and was just a corny , campy and fun show and then join me as I review the film that really should have gotten a sequel with the film in question being called simply just "The A-Team" enjoy.

The plot of this film is when a crack commando unit is sent to jail for a crime that they didn't commit they then have to break out and bring the person who really did commit the crime to justice by any means necessary. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad as even tho it was just an extra long version of the shows opening narration it was still a good plot for this film to have as even tho it basically tells the story of how the team came to be in the first place it does so with such a love and respect for the original show that the plot of this film could very easily have been the plot of an episode of the show and while yes this films plot is really corny in places that doesn't stop it from being a fun filled plot to watch infact if anything it's the fact that it's a corny plot that does make it feel more in line with what they were doing on the show only now it's now on the big screen and while this films plot really didn't need to show us how the team actually met in the first place that is an understandable thing to include as alot of people going to see this movie might not have known that there was an A-Team show before this movie but at the same time alot more people going to watch this movie are going because of the fact that they grew up watching the show and therefor really dont need  to see how the team met up in the first place with the plot of this film also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Liam Neeson as John "Hannibal" Smith and Bradley Cooper as Templeton "Face" Peck. Also starring in this film is Quinton "Rampage" Jackson as Bosco "B.A." Baracus , Sharlto Copley as H.M. "Howling Mad" Murdock , Jessica Biel as Charissa Sosa , Patrick Wilson as Vance Burress / Agent Lynch , Jon Hamm as Other Lynch , this films co-writer Brian Bloom as Brock Pike , Gerald McRaney as General Russell Morrison , Terry Chen as Ravech , Maury Sterling as Gammons , Henry Czerny as Director McCready , C. Ernst Harth as The Crematorium Attendant , Omari Hardwick as Chop Shop Jay and Corey Burton as This Films Narrator.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. With the actors that you expect a good performance from really giving us exactly that a good performance but it's when it comes to the actors where you don't know what kind of performance to expect where the acting truly suffers as alot of them just aren't that good of an actor which is the case of Quinton "Rampage" Jackson does make sense as he isn't a trained actor he's a trained fighter and while he does have the physicality that the role of Bosco "B.A." Baracus requires he doesn't have the acting skills to pull it off and make it natural with other actors like Brian Bloom and Patrick Wilson who is a very dependable actor just playing there roles like there villains in a kids school play and not like there villains in an actual movie and while this film director and co-writer Joe Carnahan does try to get a good performance out of his actors he just can't manage to it for one reason or another with the acting that's in this very film not really being helped by the fact that this films script is just so bad as it gives none of this films actors absolutely nothing to work with interms of what it is that there respective characters re even meant to be in the first place which is something that rally does harm the overall quality of the acting that's in this very film.

Doing the CGI for this film is Rhythm & Hues Studios , Wētā FX , Digital Domain , Prime Focus World , Soho VFX , Hydraulx , Moving Picture Company and Pixomondo. Now then inters of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought /felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad but at the same time tho this film CGI effects aren't that good either and alot of that could come down to one of two things the first one being the fact that the makers of the film did use some really unknown effects companies to do the effects for this film and the second of which being that this film didn't have that big of a budget and so they couldn't have had that big of an effects budget either way it does result in some very mixed looking as the studios that you expect some really good work from like Weta FX for example do do some really nice looking work n this film but this is a film that is sadly let down by the fact that alot of this films VFX does look fake and that is something that does take you out of the film and just reminds you that your watching a movie with it being clear as day in alot of shots that the effects came in second to everything else as there are alot of times where there should be light hitting the characters in an effects shot but there just isn't which says that there was no VFX people on the set on this movie or if there was then they weren't all that experienced at their job as it is something that really should have been fixed well before the film was due to wrap filming.

One of the things that the The Dukes Of Hazzard movie got alot of hate from fans of the original show was for being nothing like the show and for putting to much emphasis on sex and violence and while yes there is some of that in this movie as well. The film on the whole is relatively faithful to the original show and it's concepts even down to the fact that literally nobody dies during this films many action scenes which was something that they did in every episode of the show and while yes some of the characters have been changed around and made to fit the big screen the core four characters themselves are true to how they were presented to us on the show unlike the The Dukes Of Hazzard movie where all of the characters where transformed into people who are dumber then bunch of rocks as here you can at least tell that the movie was made by people who either grew up watching the show all the time or by people who at the very least watched enough episodes to get a good idea of what the show is about and what the characters are like and while some aspects of the show either got changed or removed with the film just straight up removing the teams famous van out of the two TV t movie adaptations this one is quite easily the better one as it's a movie that not only stays true to what it was on the show in the eighties but updates enough it enough to ware it could very easily please modern audience goers as well as fans of the show.

To the people who say that the Fast & Furious films are stupid I say that they should watch this movie and then they'll see what a dumb but fun movie really looks like. As they do so much dumb stuff in this movie and all of it works as all of it feels like the kind of stuff that would have dine in the show if they had the technology there to do it at the time of the show production like the fact that the guys pretty drive a tank that's falling out of an airplane with them in it yes it's a dumb scene but it's one that works as the movie it self is a pretty dumb movie or the fact that as was just mentioned nobody dies or even bleeds for that matter during alot of this films action scenes all of which do go along way to make this movie a dumb movie and there's nothing wrong with that as it's dumb but dumb in all of the right ways where as the Sharknado films for example are just dumb movies in all of the wrong ways as this movie does have characters that you either love or hate and the plot is entertaining enough that you can forgive the film for having some of it's dumb moments where as none of that is true for the Sharknado films and heck even both the Starsky & Hutch movie and The Dukes Of Hazzard film had there dumb moments in them as well and those where things that worked for those movies as there original shows where dumb with the same thing also being true for The A-Team and as a result of that is the fact that it does make perfect sense for this movie to have dumb moments in it as the show itself was a pretty dumb show as well.

For some reason this film has to agent characters both called Lynch which they hint is meant to be an FBI codename but at the same time it's not something that works for this movie. With it coming across as being like they have a chance to have a cameo from another actor in this movie and so there just going to go with instead of coming up with a fitting end for the Lynch that they already had with the Lynch that we send alot of time with in the film not really being given much in the way of personality outside of the fact that he's basically a high school jock who works for the United States Government and that's really it and that's not enough to make him an interesting and heck as the original Lynch in the show is the teams on going antagonist the makers of this film could used this film to tell the story of how both groups came to hate each other which would work as this film is telling the teams origin story in the first place but for some reason the makers of this chose not go that route and instead chose him unlikable for the sake of being unlikable and heck we don't even get to find out why he wants these U.S. Treasury plates in the first place as he would be able to make more then enough money just doing his regular day to day job all of this makes it feel like the makers of the film where treating him like an afterthought as it's clear that they put alot more effort into the films funny jokes and cool looking action scenes then they did in actually creating a memorable villain which is something that they should have been getting alot of there attention as a hero is only as good as the villain that there going up against.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly two hours and thirteen minuets and thirty three seconds. Which is pretty much the exact running time that you'd expect a film like this one to have and to this films credit it really does have the right amount of plot there to really cover that amount of running time the issue is tho is that this film really does make the best use of it's running time as it spends far to long in setting not only how the team met but how they got set to military court and while showing both of those things does make sense in context of the films plot there surely had to be a more efficient way in doing all of that in half the time the film eats up a good thirty to forty minuets just on those aspects of the films plot alone which really doesn't leave alot of time to focus on anything else where as if the film did all of the prolog stuff either in one ten to twenty minuet scene or in a series of flashback scenes all throughout the movie then it would have had more time to be able to flesh out it's characters and show us why the members of The A-Team work so well together and why they have this unbreakable bond with each other instead of doing that in two scenes near the start of the movie and heck the makers of this film could then flesh out both the villains of the film and the films other characters as well as they all come across as being very one note characters with the films plot also coming across as being really underdeveloped as well but I really will admit that this film really does ave some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is an action film that really does mean that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty the best part of the film. As this is where the film gets to be the most fun as we get to see just what it is that each member of the group brings to the team with Hannibal always thinking three steps ahead of everyone else , Templeton "Face" Peck being able to do anything to get anything that the group needs , B.A. being the muscle of the group and Murdock really being able to fly the group both in and out of any situation as well being genuinely really quite insane and it's during this films many action scenes that we get to see all of those aspects of the characters come into play which is something that does make for some really fun and  really looking creative action scenes as well as given the nature of this film you never really know what kind of action scene that your going to get next nor can you really tell just what exactly is going to happen during those action scenes either but when something really cool does happen which is alot of the time in this film it is something that really is just cool to see in this film with this films best action scene being the films third act as it's a scene that makes you wonder if things really going wrong for the team or not and that is something that really make it a really enjoyable action scene to have in this very film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall whilst this film is quite easily better then The Dukes Of Hazzard film was as this film at least tried to recapture the the spirit of the original show this still a pretty bad to average film in it's own right with it having it's set of faults of flaws all of which really could have been fixed with a just a re-write of the films script in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 6.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from IMP Awards . Com and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images really from this very film being the really great Google Images this is really because of the fact that really all of the images that I really indeed got and really used from the really great Google Images are all really high quality really with all of the images that really are all and of course really currently up and on the really great and the really solid Google Images really are all being really fairly high in quality and as well as them all really being fairly high in definition.
