Lady Ballers Film Review

 

Every so often there comes along a film that you just know is going to make alot of people angry for whatever reason. Well just such a film has just been released and well in order to not make anyone angry i'm only going to be judging this movie as a movie and I request that you all be kind to each other in the comments and remember this is a just movie and really nothing more then that and so then join me as I review the film that is pretty bad satire with the film in question being called simply just "Lady Ballers" enjoy.

The plot of the film is when a down on his luck basketball coach tries to get his old team back together he decides to enter them into an all girls basketball competition. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot the actual that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad with this films plot being very entertaining and actually original and while it's not a good plot by any stretch of the imagination it's at least better then the plots of a lot of the more recent Marvel MCU films as this films plot is both entertaining and at times very engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Peterson as Dr. Jordan B. Peterson , Chandler Juliet as Sheila , Jaden Clarke as Kevin and Jared Bentley as Gary,

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that good. This is due to the fact that this films director , co-writer , co-producer and main star Jeremy Boreing doesn't know how to direct his actors with this  not really being helped by the films script which gives none of the actors nothing to work with interms of what their respective characters personalities even are in the first place and while alot of the cast are indeed trying to turn in a good performance they can't elevate this films script as that's just how bad that this films script really is which means that they can't turn in that good of a performance as this films script just won't allow for it.

This film is going to be a highly controversial film and is going to make quite alot of people really quite angry. I think that it's pretty obvious as to why this film will make alot of people but at the same time tho this film should be talked about not just because it's controversial but also because of the fact that it's taking a chance by telling an original story and by telling a story that modern day Hollywood would dare not touch as they'd be to scared of offending anyone and yet it's by not offending anyone that they manage to do alot more harm to the movie industry then good and if you guys want proof of that all you have to do is just see the box office numbers for alot of big budget films that would have been hits films five or six years ago and yet now there barely struggling to break even all the meanwhile this film that not alot of people will be talking about has been getting rave reviews from audiences.

This film is meant to be a satire but it doesn't do satire right as all it does is present us with one point of view. If you want a good example of how to do satire right then all you need to do is watch any episode of South Park as that show takes aim at anybody and everybody as satire is fair game and comedy is fair game and yet that this something that this film fails to understand as it only takes shots at a certain group of people which is fine for a joke or two but when then that's the whole movie is just taking shots at that one bunch of people ad not taking aim at other people then the film makers quite clearly aren't doing satire right with them doing the very thing that they've accused Disney of doing which only does more harm to the film then it does good and it's why South Park is fondly remembered and still loved to this very day and while this film despite how good the film is for the most part will largely be forgotten about.

I will give this film this the satire that does have is really good and while it's not on the level of say GTA V for example it is still worth pointing out. However on the flip side of that is the fact that like with the film Karen they only take shots at a certain group of people and that's it which means that only a certain group of people will find this films satire funny which does make sense given who is producing this film and the fact that this film was made exclusively for Daily Wire+ however it's not entirely fair and balanced either as there things on the other side that could and should have been made fun but for some reason the film doesn't tackle those subjects instead only tackling the subjects that they know will get them alot them talked about the most on twitter or as it's now known as X and that's really it.

This films characters aren't the best written characters either with allot of them just being the dumb one in their friendship group. While it's not typical for a comedy film to have at least one person be the dumb one in any group friends it's becoming more of a common thing now for alot of bad comedies that have badly written characters to have them all be the dumb one and that's very sadly the case for this film which means that alot of this films main characters just merge into one as alot of them aren't given a personality trait which is some thing that this films director , co-writer and co-producer and main star Jeremy Boreing really should have done as it's the characters that's going to keep people coming back to this film and yet it's the characters that just felt flat , boring and very one dimensional at best and at worst they just felt like a cardboard cutout of other better and more popular characters.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and fifty minuets and fifty two seconds. Which is a bit on the long side for this film as this film really doesn't have alot of story to really cover that large amount of running time which only makes what would have been small issues with the film now seem even bigger as we are now given more time to really focus in those issues which means that this film really should have been no longer then one hour and thirty minuets including credits as that's all the amount of plot that this film really has enough time to cover and yet because of this extended running time we now get scenes that go nowhere and plot threads that whilst entertaining go nowhere as well but I will admit that this film really does have some truly wonderful pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is a comedy that means that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy thats actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I  in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad.With this film having some genuinely funny laugh out loud moments and while alot of this films jokes does come from it's satire that doesn't mean that the jokes aren't funny and while this film isn't the funniest film ever made there are clear efforts put into this film into making this films jokes works and that is something that does show through on screen and that's something that should get alot of praise as a really funny movie with funny jokes will always be a funny movie that has really funny jokes in it in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall while this film might not be the best loved film ever made and while it might have a very balanced satire it is still a really funny movie and whilst I can't really recommend it as that does depend n how easily offended and upset this film makes people I can say that it's easily better then The Marvels in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good ans as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that means that this very film earns itself a grand old score of exactly a 7.5 out of 10 from me.
