Blue Beetle Film SPOILER FREE Film Review

The DC Extended Universe is one that has taken so many hits lately with the universe having flop after flop. With their being so few hits yet they have now just released a film that so far has the potential to be a true hit for this ending cinematic universe and well with The Flash flopping so hard and so fast that it makes Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny look good by comparison they really do need a hit film right now and so then join me as I give you my SPOILER FREE review of the film that brings us one step closer to the end of the DC Extended Universe with the film in question being called simply just "Blue Beetle" enjoy.

The plot of this film is when an alien scarab attaches itself to him young Jaime Reyes must protect both the world and his family from a power hungry executive that wants to use it's power to create an army of super soldiers. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty pretty generic with this films plot just really basically being nothing really more then your stereotypical superhero comic book movie plot and nothing really all the more then that in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Xolo Maridueña as Jaime Reyes / Blue Beetle , Bruna Marquezine as Jenny Kord and Adriana Barraza as Nana. Also starring in this film is Damián Alcázar as Alberto Reyes , Raoul Max Trujillo as Ignacio Carapax / OMAC , Elpidia Carrillo as Rocio Reyes , Belissa Escobedo as Milagro Reyes , Harvey Guillén as Dr. Sanchez , Becky G as The Voice Of Khaji-Da , George Lopez as Rudy Reyes and Susan Sarandon as Victoria Kord.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. With this films acting being alot better what it really had any right to be as alot of the acting in the more recent DC Extended Universe films haven't really had that good acting in them and so it was really shocking to see a film set in this ending universe have better acting then what people really expected from this film.

Doing the CGI for this film is Day For Nite , Digital Domain , RISE Visual Effects Studios and Industrial Light & Magic. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honestly alot better then what it really had any right to be with this films CGI looking alot better then the CGI that we got in films that came out just this past year and with this film not really having a big budget it really is something when a mid budget comic book movie has better CGI in it then a two hundred million dollar Marvel Cinematic Universe movies does.

There is a scene in this movie in this movie that happens quite early on in this movie that reminds me so much of a scene in he first Iron Man movie. I'm not going to say what the scene is but when you see it in this movie you'll know it right away as both scenes play out the exact same plot beats only the version in Iron Man works out better as that version of this sequence is giving us important plot information for later on in the film where as in this film it's being done just for the sake it and heck that whole sequence could have been cut out of the the movie in it's entirety and you'd loose nothing of actual importance to the plot of this movie.

For those of you that don't know this film along with THAT Batwoman movie was due to be released on HBO Max. With this film instead being upgraded to a theatrical release and while this film does look like a direct to streaming service movie I think that upgrading the release of this movie was a smart move as this is a really good movie that deserves to be seen on the biggest screen possible however tho this film really does feel very small in scale and while that might have worked for a direct to streaming service movie it's not something that works for a theatrically released movie as there the scale really does have to big in order to justify it being on the big screen and that's just really not the case with this movie.

Like the first Iron Man movie this film has a dreadful and forgettable villain which is a shame as this villain is really well acted. However just because you have a great actor playing the role doesn't mean that the villain is instantly a great villain as you also need to write them interesting and give them a motivation and that's sadly not the case with this films and as such this films villain just comes across as being evil for the sake of being evil as they have no end goal in mind and thus they have no reason to be as evil as they are which is a shame as on paper this films villain could work if they were only written better.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly two hours and one minuet and four seconds. Which I will admit is a tad bit on the long side for this film as this film really doesn't have alot there interms of either plot or story to cover that large amount of running time and this is made worse when you take into account that this film has a generic plot and so you can see alot of the plot points coming a mile away as such all your left doing is being left waiting for those plot points to come along and that is something that does get dull and boring after a while but I will admit that this film doe have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then since this is an action film that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With this films action being the best part of the film as that's where the film felt alot more like a comic book and less like a movie that's struggling to keep your interest plus it does help that this film has alot of really cool and inventive looking action sequences in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall I don't think that this needs saying but this film is quite easily better then The Flash and will easily do well at the box office as this film is just that good of a movie in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film earns itself a grand old score of exactly a 7 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Marvel Cinematic Universe fandom wiki page and the official DC Extended Universe fandom wiki page. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this very / particular / exact film being the official DC Extended Universe fandom wiki page since alot of the images that are from this film and that are currently still indeed up on the official DC Extended Universe fandom wiki page are all really fairly freaking high in quality and as well as being very fairly freaking high in definition.
