Spider-Man 2 Film Review

Spider-Man has been a pop culture icon for decades yet there in the early 2000's there had been so few live action movies made about him. So when the first movie and it was a hit alot of people where shocked and surprised mostly because comic book movies and that point time generally weren't that good and yet when the sequel came put it proved that Spider-Man belonged on the big screen and so then join me as I review that proved that the first film wasn't a fluke with the film in question being called simply just "Spider-Man 2" review.

The plot of this film is two years after the events of the first film Peter Parker finds that having a double life is alot harder then what he first thought and matters are only made worse when a new evil scientist wants to take over the world and only Spider-Man can stop him for good. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good with this films doing a very good job of advancing the characters and the world in a very feel natural and organic in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker / Spider-Man and Alfred Molina as Doctor Otto Octavius / Doctor Octopus. Also starring in this film is Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane Watson , James Franco as Harry Osborn , J. K. Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson , Daniel Gillies as Col. John Jameson , Dylan Baker as Dr. Curt Connors , Donna Murphy as Rosie Octavius , Rosemary Harris as Aunt May , Bill Nunn as Joseph "Robbie" Robertson , Ted Raimi as Hoffman , Elizabeth Banks as Betty Brant , Elya Baskin as Mr. Ditkovich , Cliff Robertson as Uncle Ben , Willem Dafoe as Norman Osborn , Kelly Connell as Dr. Isaacs and Mageina Tovah as Ursula Ditkovich.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With all of this films cast members turning in some really good performances which is to be expected as this films script is just so good that all this films cast just have to do is say the words as there written and boom a good performance will come out f all them naturally.

Doing the CGI for this film is Sony Pictures Imageworks , Zoic Studios , Barbed Wire and Amalgamated Dynamics. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then interms of what I personally thought /felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good and more then holds up almost twenty years later and while yes there are one or two effects that haven't aged all that well those are in the minority and don't represent the majority of the effects that are in this film.

One of the best things about this film is the fact that we get to see just how living a double life can effect a superhero in a negative way. As that's something that's very rarely if ever seen at least when it comes to movies and it's something that  makes sense in this film as Spider-Man has always been known for tackling very real and very human emotions and so it would make sense that Peter would start to question weather or not he made the right choice once t starts impacting upon his private life and effecting his personal relationships as well.

What I didn't like about this film is the all of the relationship drama between Peter and Mary Jane Watson. Which just makes her seem like a petty person as the only thing she gets really upset at him about is the fact that he couldn't make it to her show and that's it that is such a petty thing to get upset about which is mad even more petty when you take into account that Peter gets another ticket for the show at a later date something which she could have helped with in the first place but because this film needs pointless drama she doesn't do it for no reason whatsoever.

I also really did like this films villain who to me was kind of like a version of Frankenstein's monster if the monster was really smart. As in the hospital scene when Doc's arms raise him up I was getting very strong Frankenstein's monster vibes from this character and when you dd in the fact that both characters are ultimately good people who have either been corrupted or been judged wrongly by people it really does make me wonder if this deliberate choice on the part of the film makers is this films director Sam Raimi is known for directed horror movies and Frankenstein's monster is one of it not the most popular horror ever out there.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly two hours and fifteen minuets and forty eight seconds. Which is a tad bit on the long side for this film which is made even worse when you take into account that this film really doesn't have alot their in terms of either plot or story to cover that large amount of running time and so we end up with alot of scenes that go nowhere and that add nothing to the overall plot of the film and could have been cut from the final cut of the film and nothing of actual importance to this films plot would've been lost but I will admit tho that this film does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then since this is an action film that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With the best action in the whole entire movie being the one on top of the train just due to not only all of the cool things that happen in that action sequence but also due to the fact that it advances the plot of the film and Peter's character arc for the film all of which make this one action scene just a really great to see play out in the final film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall while many will rightfully say that Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse is the best Spider-Man sequel ever made I respectfully disagree as I think that this film is the best Spider-Man sequel ever made it helps to make the character feel more human and real in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film earns itself a grand old score of exactly an 8.5 put of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Marvel Database fandom wiki page , IMP Awards . Com and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this very film being obviously Google Images since really alot of this films images that are really from this very film and that are all currently still up and on Google Images and all of the images are all really fairly freaking high in picture quality and as well as them all really being really fairly freaking high in definition.
