Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 Film Review
Marvel we are now just a few short days away from the company releasing it's latest entry into the MCU. As such I thought that it was that it was only right I review the second film to feature every bodies favorite group of underdogs just because it was the last time that these group of character appeared in a solo film together and so then join me as I review the film that made "I'm Mary Poppins Y'all" a thing with the film in question being called simply just "Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2" enjoy.
The plot of this film is when his father makes himself known to him Peter must decide between if he wants to stay with his father or to stay with his newfound family. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad altho it wasn't as good nor as fun as the plot of the first film it was still a very serviceable plot that did a decent job of advancing the characters and the story in a way that felt that really natural and organic in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Starring in this film is Chris Pratt as Peter Quill / Star-Lord , Zoe Saldana as Gamora and Dave Bautista as Drax The Destroyer. Also starring in this film is Vin Diesel as The Voice Of Groot , Bradley Cooper as The Voice Of Rocket Raccoon , Pom Klementieff as Mantis , Michael Rooker as Yondu Udonta , Karen Gillan as Nebula , Sean Gunn as Kraglin Obfonteri , Elizabeth Debicki as Ayesha , Chris Sullivan as Taserface , Michelle Yeoh as Aleta Ogord , Laura Haddock as Meredith Quill , Sylvester Stallone as Stakar Ogord and Kurt Russell as Ego.
Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With all of this films cast members turning in some really good performances which isn't that surprising ass writer and director James Gunn is a good director who knows how to get a good performance out of his cast and because this films cast are a bunch of really talented actors and actresses.
Doing the CGI for this film is Wētā FX , Framestore , Method Studios , Trixter , Animal Logic , Scanline VFX , Lola Visual Effects , Luma Pictures , Cantina Creative and Technicolor Creative Services VFX. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good and holds up really well almost a decade later.
One of this movies key themes is that of family and the many forms that I can take and this was something that I really loved. As the Guardians Of The Galaxy are a family and to see them tackle this theme head on with different members of the group dealing with their own family issues was something that I really liked and while some of them like that of Nebula and Gamora have no impact on this film they would of course go on to have a small impact in the next Avengers movies altho I would liked it if they went more into what having a family means to Rocket since that was the one that felt the most interesting to me personally.
While I do feel like the death of Yondu was handled really well I don'y think that this film was the right time to pull the trigger on it. As it would have had more emotional weight if it happened in the third movie as by then we would have had two films with him working with the heroes and thus would have had more time to like the character as don't forget for the first film he was very much an antagonist and so having him die in this film doesn't carry that same emotional gut punch as you'd want his death to have.
I really liked that Ego this films villain was a really likable character as he is meant to seduce Peter into agreeing with his plan. Which was something that was rather refreshing as that's not something that we've seen in any Marvel Cinematic Universe villain with that being said however he was also a rather bland and uninteresting as we don;t get to find out why hes evil other then Ego saying that he found himself and as such he just comes across as being evil just for the sake of being evil and that doesn't make him that interesting of a character it instead makes him a waste of a good idea.
Now then while I cannot for the absolutely life of me remember whatever this films grand total running time even was I do know that this film has / had a grand total running time of roughly two hours and fourteen minuets. Which was a tad bit of a ling time for this film to last and as such I really do feel that this film should have come in at just over two hours as that would then mean that the film would flow alot better but I will admit tho that this film really does have some really good pacing to it despite it's long running time.
So now then since this is an action film that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With this films action being where the film feels the most fun as we get to see some really cool and creative moments in this films action scenes in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Overall while this film is not as good a the first film was it's still a really enjoyable film and if anything it makes me more excited to see the third film in this trilogy because of enjoyable this film is in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film earns itself a grand old score of exactly a 7.5 out of 10 from me.
Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Disney fandom wiki page and the official Marvel Cinematic Universe fandom wiki page. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this very / particular / exact film being obviously the official Marvel Cinematic Universe fandom wiki page since alot of the images that are from this film and that are currently still indeed up on the official Marvel Cinematic Universe fandom wiki page are all fairly freaking high in quality and as well as being fairly freaking high in definition.
