Fast X Film SPOILER FILLED Film Review

 

The Fast Saga is another saga of films that is sadly coming to an end in just a few short years time and well the second possibly third to last installment has just now been released. With this installment being as hotly anticipated as the ones that came before it you all just knew that I had to check this film the very first chance that I got and so then join me as I review the film that ditches the clever titles with the film in question being called simply just "Fast X" enjoy.

The plot of this film is the son of an old foe comes after Dom and so it's up to Dom and his family to stop this foe before it's far to late. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad altho with that being said it was also a pretty thin plot as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is this films producer Vin Diesel as Dominic Toretto and Jason Momoa as Dante Reyes. Also starring in this film is Michelle Rodriguez as Letty Ortiz , Jason Statham as Deckard Shaw , Tyrese Gibson as Roman Pearce , Chris "Ludacris" Bridges as Tej Parker , John Cena as Jakob Toretto , Jordana Brewster as Mia Toretto , Nathalie Emmanuel as Ramsey , Sung Kang as Han Lue , Brie Larson as Tess , Alan Ritchson as Aimes , Daniela Melchior as Isabel , Scott Eastwood as Little Nobody , Dame Helen Mirren as Magdalene "Queenie" Ellmanson-Shaw , Charlize Theron as Cipher and Rita Moreno as Abuelita Toretto.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. Altho there was some pretty bad performances to be found in this film with Brie Larson turning in a terrible performance in this film which to me says that she just doesn't understand that this film isn't a high art film and yet she's turning in a performance that would be better suited for a drama film which just doesn't work really well at all for this kind of film at all.

Doing the CGI for this film is Double Negative , Freefolk , Industrial Light & Magic , Lidar Lounge and Outpost VFX. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad but at the same time this films CGI was also very fake looking as well.

In case you don't know a few days ago it was really heavily rumored that Dwayne Johnson would be making his return as Luke Hobbs in this films post credit scene. Well I can now confirm that he is not the only person returning as both Joaquim De Almeida returns as Hernan Reyes and we also get Gal Gadot as Gisele Yashar with Gal's return being the best one just due to the fact that it wasn't even rumored all that much that she was coming back plus given the films premise it was all but confirmed that we'd get to see more of Hernan Reyes in newly filmed scenes.

Sadly tho what I didn't like about this film is the fact that they killed of John Cena's character Jakob Toretto. As his death just doesn't work as we really haven't had alot of time to get to know his character as he only introduced in the previous film and even then he was a villain for the vast majority of that films running time and as such if your going to have a character die then have it be a character that we've grown to care for like for example Mia Toretto or even perhaps Tej Parker or Roman Pearce as we've had more time to form a connection with those characters and so there deaths will mean alot more to us the audience then John Cena's character does.

This film commits the biggest sin that any one of these movie could possibly commit and that's that they have the fast family separated from each other for the vast majority of the movie. This to me is a huge sin because half of the fun of these movies is seeing these characters just bounce of off each other ad when you rob us of that the film looses that special something that makes them fun films to watch as the movie just isn't as fun tom watch seeing these characters be mostly separated from each other for alot of this movies running time.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly two hours and twelve minuets and forty two seconds. Which seems to be the standerd running time for these films now which shouldn't really be the case for this film as this film really doesn't have alot of story to cover that large amount of time which is a shame because this film i meant to be the first of a possible three part storyline but  will admit tho that this film does have some really good pacing to it with the film really just flying right on by.

So now then since this is an action film that means that I have to actually talk about the about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. Which for this franchise shouldn't be all that surprising as this franchise is known for having some truly great action scenes in it and to see that this films action scenes are just as crazy and just as over the top and cool as you'd expect from this franchise with this films best action scene to me being the one set in Rome just because we get to see all of the fast family together doing what they do best and that is always fun to see playout n any film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall ignore the critics this film is a blast to watch and is just as fun as all the over films in this franchise which at this point is something you should be expecting to be the case by now in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film earns itself a grand old score of exactly a 7.5 out of 10 from me.
