Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania Film SPOILER FILLED Review

 

Marvel fans the Marvel Cinematic Universe has now officially kicked of it's Phase Five and we can only hope that it's alot better then what we got in Phase Four. However if this film is anything to go by then we are in for yet another series of bad to OK at best films and so then join me as I give my SPOILER FILLED review of the film that takes us to somewhere that we've never been before with the film in question being called simply just "Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania" enjoy.

The plot of this film is after accidentally being sucked into the quantum realm Scott , Hope , Janet , Hank and Cassie have to find away back home. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very review well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really bad with this films plot being very thin at best with what I just described being more of plot synopsis and not the actual plot of the film since the films plot is that thin at best in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Paul Rudd as Scott Lang / Ant-Man and Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne / Wasp. Also starring in this film is Jonathan Majors as Nathaniel Richards , Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet Van Dyne , Michael Douglas as Doctor Hank Pym , Kathryn Newton as Cassie Lang , David Dastmalchian as Veb , William Jackson Harper as Quaz , Katy M. O'Brian as Jentorra and Bill Murray as Lord Krylar.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. Since alot of this films returning cast members are turning in some really good performances the issue is tho that alot of this films newer cast members just aren't turning in that good of a performance  at all and that really does bring down the overall quality of the acting that's in this film.

Doing the CGI for this film is Sony Pictures Imageworks , Luma Pictures , Digital Domain , Industrial Light & Magic , Method Studios , Monsters Aliens Robots Zombies , Perception and Pix Entertainment. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad since there is alot of effort put into this films CGI.

I really did hate how they treated Cassie in this film since she's gone from being this loving and caring character to being this snarky kid who is disrespectful to her father. Since she has a go at her father for not doing enough after he's saved the world THREE times when you've saved the world that many times heck if you've saved the wold  even once then anybody shouldn't have a go at you or not doing enough to help the world because you've already done more then what any person should have to do to help the world out.

On top of that this new version of Cassie is now a troublemaker of sorts for literally no reason whatsoever. Which isn't really a big deal since you very easily could say that the events of Avengers: Endgame is what caused Cassie to turn out the way that she is but it's something that's not even brought up in the film at all it's something that appears in two scenes only and that's it and even then the first one of those scenes is the scene that's reintroducing us to her character and they don't even bring up her sudden change in character at all.

You might have noticed that there's a couple of names missing from this list the first of which is  the fact that Jonathan Majors is also playing Kang The Conqueror. The second one of which is the fact that wee also have a returning Corey Stoll as Darren Cross / M.O.D.O.K.. I really didn't like how either villain is portrayed in this film since M.O.D.O.K. is portrayed as somebody who can't get the job done and is basically a comedy relief villain and just isn't a threat at all and Kang is just a forgettable villain who just comes across as being evil for the sake of being evil and that doesn't make him an interesting villain at all since all it does is make him a bland and rather boring villain with same thing also being true for M.O.D.O.K. as well.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and fifty three minuets and thirty eight seconds. Which just isn't alot of time for this film to tell it's story at all as such alot of this films faults come down to the fact that this film just doesn't have enough time to do everything that it sets out to do and as such all of the characters suffer from it since they all can't be fully developed since there's alot of characters in this film so much so that the film really does feel overstuffed and if the film had a longer running time things like the characters and the plot would be able to be fully fleshed out and fully developed.

So now then since this is an action film that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty average at best. Since there was nothing that really stood out to me action wise for the most part which is a shame because with a character like Ant-Man you can do some really creative stuff with him action wise and this film just doesn't do any of it in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this film continues the trend of each Ant-Man film being worse then the one that came before it and I hope that we don't get a fourth film since going by that trend that film would be pretty bad as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film earns itself a grand old score of exactly a 4 out of 10 from me.
