Violent Night Film Review

Alternative Christmas movies are usually more fun to watch then actual traditional Christmas and well then films fans we have a new alternative Christmas movie out there. I will very much admit that this is a movie that i've been looking forward to for sometime simply because of the fact that the very idea behind this movie is just so insane and out there that it really does need to be seen to be believed and so then join me as I review the film that turns Santa Clause turn into John Wick with the film in question being called simply just "Violent Night" enjoy.

The plot of the film is when a group of robbers try to rob a house on Christmas Eve it's up to Santa Clause to save the day before it's far to late. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty just as crazy and just as fun and weird and out there as you'd expect from a movie that's called Violent Night.

Starring in this film is David Harbour as Santa Claus and John Leguizamo as Jimmy Martinez / Ebenezer Scrooge. Also starring in this film is Alex Hassell as Jason Lightstone , Alexis Louder as Linda Matthews , Cam Gigandet as Morgan Steele , Edi Patterson as Alva Steele-Lightstone , Leah Brady as Gertrude "Trudy" Lightstone , Brendan Fletcher as Krampus , André Eriksen as Gingerbread , Mitra Suri as Candy Cane , Stephanie Sy as Sugarplum , Alexander Elliot as Bertrude "Bert" Lightstone and the legendary Beverly D'Angelo as Gertrude Lightstone.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With all of this films cast not only turning in some really good performances but also fully understanding what kind of film that there in and giving a performance that is very suitable for this kind of film.

For once I cannot find out who did the CGI effects for this film since there's no listed effects company anywhere on the internet. Which is a shame because the CGI effects that are actually featured / presented to us in  this very film was in all honesty not that bad with this film only using CGI when it absolutely needs to and not using CGI because they can do which is a great way to use CGI since it should only be used to enhance what's there and not being used just because you can use them in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

To me both this film and Krampus are great examples of alternative Christmas films where they use the Christmas setting but they use to tell these really weird and out there stories. Also helping things is the fact that both of these films are at there core about family weather it be trying to survive a typical family Christmas or realising that every single one of your family are just unlikable people but also likeable in there way.

Speaking of which every single one of this films characters including Santa Clause are just unlikeable as all heck. Which while that is still very much a negative thing in this film that's also the point of the film because of the fact this film is all about people who are just fed up with life and so because of that have become jaded and it's fun to see how over the course of his film that they go from being rather unlikable people who can't bare to be in the same room as each other to now becoming people who are now just ever so slightly more likable in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

This film really did feel like that it was on repeat mode for alot of the time with alot of this films characters firstly not believing in Santa Clause but then by the end of the scene they do believe in him. Which is fine for one or two scenes but when it happens for alot of the scenes in this film it really does make the film feel alot more boring because all your doing is just watching another variation of the previous scene with nothing new or interesting added to it which just isn't that fun or even that interesting in the slightest bit.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and forty four minuets and forty five seconds. Which is pretty much the exact running time that you'd expect from a film called Violent Night to have since this film is nothing more then just a dumb and and fun action movie and nothing more then that and so then this film really doesn't need to have that long of running time since all you need is the basic remise and nothing more then that and that's exactly what this film gives you.

So now then since this is an action film that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty as wonderfully over the top and goofy as you'd expect from this film. With this films action really earning this film R rating with just how over the top it gets and it really does help that this films action is just so freaking cool and is even home to some of this films best jokes as well which is always a plus.

Overall this film is alot better then what it really had any right to be since on paper this film should be bad but at the same time it's just so wonderfully goofy and it really does help that this film is just so freaking as funny as well and as well really being very over the top that you just can't help but be sucked in by this film and it's charm in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about al of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film really does erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 7 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from IMP Awards . Com and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this very / particular / exact film being Google Images since alot of the images that are from this film and that are currently still indeed up on Google Images are all really fairly freaking high in quality and as well as being fairly freaking high in definition.
