The Fate Of The Furious Film Review

 

The Fast Saga is a franchise that is the right kind of dumb with it's focus shifting from street racing to people jumping cars of off things. Well with the world needing this kind of turn your brain of and just have fun with it dumb right now I thought that now was the absolutely right time to check out the eighth film in this franchise and so then join me as I review the film that dared to ask the question of what this franchise would be like if Dom finally turned evil with the film in question being called simply just "The Fate Of The Furious" enjoy.

The plot of this film is after Dom turns on his friends and steals an EMP it's up to Dom's team to stop him and stop the evil genus that convinced him to turn evil in the first place before it's far to late. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad with this films plot being very enjoyably dumb in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is one of this films producers Vin Diesel as Dominic Toretto and Dwayne Johnson as Luke Hobbs. Also starring in this film is Jason Statham as Deckard Shaw , Michelle Rodriguez as Letty Ortiz , Tyrese Gibson as Roman Pearce , Chris "Ludacris" Bridges as Tej Parker , Scott Eastwood as Little Nobody , Nathalie Emmanuel as Ramsey , Elsa Pataky as Elena Neves , Kurt Russell as Mr. Nobody , Kristofer Hivju as Connor Rhodes , Dame Helen Mirren as Magdalene Shaw and Charlize Theron as Cipher.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured /presented to us in this very film was in all honesty just as you'd expect it to be in one of these movies. In that it's fairly bad but that's what you expect to see in one of these since nobody walks into one of these films expecting to see good or even passable acting in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Doing the CGI for this film is Digital Domain , Double Negative , Pixomondo , Rodeo FX , Cantina Creative , Lola Visual Effects , Arch 9 Films , RISE Visual Effects Studios , Factory VFX , Raynault VFX , Trixter , AB VFX Studios , Mist VFX Studio , AB VFX Studios , VFX Studio By Atlywood and Storm Studios. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good for the most part since we do get one or two very dodgy looking CGI effects shots in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

This film does introduce us to a new character in the hacker Cipher who is scene stealer in this film and is a decent character. Since she does come across as being a genuine threat to Dom and his friends but the fact that she's another hacker character just doesn't sit well with me since we just got introduced to a new hacker character in the previous film and so giving us another one so soon just feels lazy and rather uninspired in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

I really do think that this films villain really does work best as a villain and the fact that they turned her into somewhat of an anti-hero in the next film is a disservice to the character. Since this allows the character to work at her absolute best since she can be scary and funny and smart all of which make her a rather interesting villain and well this character should have stayed a villain and not have been made somewhat of anti-hero in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

While I do like the idea of Dom turning evil since it does breath new life into a pretty stale character the film however doesn't take the idea far enough. Since we see the character behave as if he were still a good guy which wouldn't happen and so I really do feel that we should have seen Dom do some truly evil things and the film should have gone alot further with the idea by having Dom kill or even injure some of his loved ones all of which would have sold the audience on the idea that Dom has truly turned evil in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly two hours and fifteen minuets and fifty seven seconds. Which is pretty much the bog standerd running time for these films but at the same time this film really doesn't have alot of story to cover that running time and as such the film does feel a bit boring in the middle section of the film and that really does affect the films pacing in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then since this is an action film that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. Which is good because that's what you come to one of these films for really helping things is the fact that all of this films action sequences are just as crazy and just as over the top as you'd expect them to really be in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall given recent events watching a film that doesn't take itself seriously and knows exactly what it is makes this the kind of film that we all need to watch right now in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and that means that this very film erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 7 out of 10 from me.
