Lara Croft: Tomb Raider Film Review
Video game movies have a very bad representation of being not only pretty bad adaptations of the game that there adapting but also just being bad movies. However there is one video game that while it is still both of those things it's also a rather fun movie to watch and that's the movie that i'm going to be talking about today and so then join me as I review the film that featured a very young Daniel Craig with the film in question being called simply just "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" enjoy.
The plot of the film is Lara Croft has just a few short hours to find two halves of a missing mythical triangle and stop an evil force from taking over the world. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in al honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad with this films being genuinely quite entertaining and silly but in the right way in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Starring in this film is Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft , a pre Game Of Thrones Iain Glen as Manfred Powell and Jon Voight as Lord Richard Croft. Also starring in this film is a pre James Bond Daniel Craig as Alex West , a pre Game Of Thrones Noah Taylor as Bryce , Red Dwarf legend Chris Barrie as Hillary , Julian Rhind-Tutt as Mr. Pimms , Richard Johnson as Distinguished Gentleman , Henry Wyndham as Boothby's Auctioneer , Olegar Fedoro as Russian Commander and Leslie Phillips as Wilson.
Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. Since alot of this films cast are really trying their best to make this films script work however this films script gives these actors and actresses nothing to work with interms of their characters in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
As you'll all no doubt know this film is adapted from the franchise Tomb Raider which started with the 1996 game of the same name. While I cannot say if this film is an accurate representation of the games but it is such a fun film that you can kind of forgive it for not being an accurate representation of the games and having a fun film is what all video game films should be in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
I have to admit that I really did like the fact that this version of Lara Croft being an adrenaline junkie is a really character trait. Since when she does do something crazy and insane you one hundred percent buy that she would do these crazy and insane things just for the hell of it and that makes this version of Lara Croft a very fun character to watch because of the fact that you don't know what exactly she's going to be doing next in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
I'm not going to lie an say that this is a great movie because it's really not since this movie does have quite a few bad things within it. Like for example it's script which while fun isn't that good of a script which means that this film isn't that well written at all and the fact that this film comes across as the filmmakers having not played a single Tomb Raider game is to me a bad thing because then they don't know what the fans would actually want to see in this movie and are instead just throwing things in for the sake of it in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Another thing that I really didn't like is the fact that they randomly threw in time travel which just makes things needlessly complicated. Which is something that a live action Tomb Raider movie should never be and not helping things is the fact that the element of time travel is something that doesn't fit in within the world of time travel and so why the filmmakers chose to incorporate it into this film is well and truly beyond me sine it just doesn't work well enough in this film to fully justify it being included in this film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Now then this film has / had a grand total running time of exactly one hour and forty minuets and thirty two seconds. Which is a tad bit longer then what this film really needs to be since you very easily could have told this films entire story and not have to cut out anything that's actually important to the plot of the film in well under one hour and thirty minuets which would have helped the film out quite alot in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
So now then since this is an action film that means that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film and well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really cool. Which is something that really caught me of guard since the Tomb Raider games aren't really known for their action and so then to see the very first live action Tomb Raider have alot of fun with it's action sequences was a really shocking thing to see in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Overall while this film isn't the better Tomb Raider film it is the more fun to watch Tomb Raider film and having a film that's fun is to me at least a very good thing indeed in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 5.5 out of 10 from me.
Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from IMP Awards . Com , Wikipedia and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this very / particular / exact film being Google Images since alot of the images that are from this film and that are currently still indeed up on Google Images are all fairly freaking high in quality and as well as being fairly freaking high in definition.
