Thor: Love and Thunder Film SPOILER FILLED Film Review

 

Marvel fans for some strange reason Marvel Studios seems to think that we like seeing a new product of there's released with little to know build up every couple of months. I say this because there is once again a new movie released that nobody is talking about and that very few people are actually excited about and so then join me as I review the film that brings back a previous character with the film in question being called simply just "Thor: Love and Thunder" enjoy.

The plot of this film Gorr The God Butcher wants to eliminate all of the gods and so then it's up to Thor and a ragtag team of people to put a stop to him before it's far to late. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty rather average at best which is very sadly a more common thing right now in modern Marvel Studios films in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Chris Hemsworth as Thor , Christian Bale as Gorr The God Butcher and Tessa Thompson as Brunnhilde / King Valkyrie. Also starring in this film is Jaimie Alexander as Sif , this films director and co-writer Taika Waititi as Korg , Russell Crowe as Zeus , Natalie Portman as Jane Foster / The Mighty Thor , Chris Pratt as Peter Quill / Star-Lord , Dave Bautista as Drax The Destroyer , Sean Gunn as Kraglin Obfonteri , Vin Diesel as The Voice Of  Groot  , Bradley Cooper as The Voice Of Rocket Raccoon , Pom Klementieff as Mantis and Karen Gillan as Nebula.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. With alot of this films cast doing their best to make this films script work however since this films script is so bad this films cast can only do so much performance wise in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Doing the CGI for this film is Effetti Digitali Italiani , Framestore , Industrial Light & Magic , Lola Visual Effects , Luma Pictures , Mammal Studios , Outpost VFX , Perception and Soho VFX. Now then in terms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad altho there were quite a few bad looking CGI effects in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Sadly there is a trend now emerging with Marvel Studios products and that's the fact that they are just happy to release mediocre to average content. What makes this worse is that we're just accepting it take this film for example this films storyline would have been much better served if it was the plot to the TV show and not the plot of a movie since this films plotline feels very episodic in nature with the characters just going around from one place to another which is fine for a TV but not so much for a feature length film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Once again we are in a situation where a male going fully nude is a good thing but a female going fully nude is a bad thing. If you've seen any of this films trailers then you'll know the scene in this film that i'm talking about and well all if does is serve to prove that there is a double standard going on in Hollywood since people are perfectly OK with Thor going fully nude but for some strange reason those exact same people where mad that Margot Robbie went topless for a few short seconds where as Thor was nude for an entire freaking scene ether it's all OK or none of it is in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.   

For some strange reason just like with alot of the Phase One films this film and alot of the Phase Four films have alot of really bad villains. With this film being no different since Gorr The Godbutcher is just a generic villain who is just killing gods because ONE god didn't like him and that's it and heck he's overall plan isn't even that clear and so he has no end goal which means that it's hard to care about the stakes of this film because the stakes aren't even made clear which is a good thing indeed in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and fifty two minuets and five seconds. Which is a solid running time for this film to have but given just how repetitive that this film gets it really could have been cut down to about one hour and forty minuets and nothing of value would have been lost but that's more of an issue with this films script rather then it's running time and I will admit that this film really does have some really good pacing to it in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then since this film is an action film that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this film was in all honesty not that bad. With this films third act having a really cool and fun action sequence involving all of the children of New Asgard which was just fun to see play out in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this film is just another mediocre Marvel Studios in what is sadly becoming the norm for them and this is a trend that has to stop if the Marvel Cinematic Universe is to continue to actually make new fans in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 5.5 out of 10 from me.
