Garfield: The Movie Film Review

We are now living in an age where comic book movies are not only actually good but are also very popular. However it's not one of those movies that I want to talk about today since I instead want to talk about one of the very frustrating comic book movies and so then join me as I review the film that got so much wrong and yet somehow still spawned a sequel with the film in question being called simply just "Garfield: The Movie" enjoy.

The plot of this film is after Odie gets dognapped by a regional TV host it's up to Garfield to rescue him before it's far to late. The plot is the first thing that's wrong with this film because of the fact that it's not very well written with things just happening for the first forty or so minuets that have no impact on the actual plot of the film and not helping things at all is the fact that the plot requires Garfield to act out of character and that is never a good thing at all in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Breckin Meyer as Jon Arbuckle , Jennifer Love Hewitt as Dr. Liz Wilson and Bill Murray as The Voice Of Garfield. Also starring in this film is Stephen Tobolowsky as Happy Chapman , Evan Arnold as Wendell , Mark Christopher Lawrence as Christopher Mello , Alan Cumming as The Voice Of Persnikitty , Nick Cannon as The Voice Of Louis , David Eigenberg as The Voice Of Nermal , Brad Garrett as The Voice Of Luca , Jimmy Kimmel as The Voice Of Spanky and Debra Messing as The Voice Of Arlene.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. Since all of this films cast members are clearly trying to make this film script work but the issue is that this films script gives them nothing to work with in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Doing the CGI for this film is Rainmaker Animation & Visual Effects , Rainmaker Digital Pictures , SW Digital , Pixel Magic and The Orphanage. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad altho Garfield himself does look a tad bit off tho in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

This film gets the one key thing about Garfield wrong and that's the fact that he's lazy and so he wouldn't do a jump from a table to Jon's bed. Nor would he go into the big city to rescue Odie because once again he's lazy and this is something that the makers of this film fail to get because they have Garfield doing things that a lazy cat just wouldn't do and that's a sign of just how bad the writing in this film is in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Another thing that this film got wrong was it's human cast espically Jon and Liz since there both far to good looking. Which makes it hard to believe that these two people find it hard to get dates and on top of all of that this films really doesn't portray Jon as the loser type of character that he is heck he's not even given that much of personality at all and the same thing can also be said for Liz as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

This film does indeed try to have a romance subplot going on between both Jon Arbuckle and Dr. Liz Wilson. Which really doesn't work all that well for me personally simply because of the fact that both Jon and Liz are given next to no personally and so there romance just seems flat and boring and on top of all of that there romance really isn't given that much screen time and so it was hard for me to buy into this romance subplot between these two characters since it was that badly done in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and twenty minuets and twelve seconds. Which is such a short running tine for this film to have since you very easily could have gotten at the very an extra ten to twenty minuets out of this film and heck making this film a little bit longer would have helped since you could have developed the plot a bit better and this films human characters alot better and not really helping things is the fact that it takes nearly forty five minuets for Garfield to even go to rescue Odie which is not a good thing at all in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then this is a comedy and that means that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really bad. With this film barely containing any jokes that are actually funny but there are some jokes in this film that the films younger more intended audience might find funny tho in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this film is a really bad film that gets so much wrong that it's pretty much Garfield in name only and heck i'm in all honesty shocked that this film got a sequel because it's that bad in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from IMP Awards . Com and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this very / particular / exact film being Google Images since alot of the images that are from this film and that are currently still indeed up on Google Images are all fairly freaking high in quality and as well as being fairly freaking high in definition.
