The Peanuts Movie Film Review
Ladies and gentlemen we now officially live in a world that is being dominated by superhero movies and where liking the right kind of superhero movie is more important then ever. However there was one comic book movie that came out in 2015 that was forgotten about just as soon as it came out and so then join me as I review the movie that brought the Peanuts gang back to the big screen with the movie in question being called simply just "The Peanuts Movie" enjoy.
There is no real plot to this movie other then the very loose plot thread of Charlie Brown trying to get the attention of a new girl in his class. While not having a plot line would indeed be considered to be a major problem in a Peanuts movie however it's only expected but it's also welcome since these are characters that don't demand big epic plots for their movies all they need is something rather simple and rather fun and that's what this films plotline is for me personally it's fun and simple in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Starring in this film is Noah Schnapp as Charlie Brown , Alex Garfin as Linus and Noah Johnston as Schroeder. Also starring in this film is Bill Melendez as Snoopy and Woodstock , Hadley Belle Miller as Lucy , Micah Revelli as Little Kid , Venus Omega Schultheis as Peppermint Patty , Mariel Sheets as Sally , Madisyn Shipman as Violet , AJ Tecce as Pig-Pen , Marelik "Mar Mar" Walker as Franklin , William "Alex" Wunsch as Shermy , Troy "Trombone Shorty" Andrews as Miss Othmar and The Little Red-Haired Girl's Mother , Kristin Chenoweth as Fifi , Rebecca Bloom as Marcie , Anastasia Bredikhina as Patty and Francesca Angelucci Capaldi as The Little Red-Haired Girl and Frieda.
Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. With this film sticking to the franchises tradition of using actual kids to voice the kids in the film your of course going to get a very ride range of good and bad performances and that's sadly true for this film as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Doing the animation for this film is the sadly now defunct Blue Sky Studios who of course did the animation for all of the Ice Age films. Now then in terms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured /presented to us in this very film was really good with this films animation perfectly capturing the charming tone of not only the original animated specials , TV series and movies but also the original comic strips as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Believe it or not this film was the first full length feature Peanuts film since the 1980 film Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown (and Don't Come Back!!) and it's also the first Peanuts film to actually have the word Peanuts in the title. This is because of the fact that Peanuts creator Charles M. Schulz hated the title as it was not only forced upon him but he also thought that people would think that his characters are Peanuts hence why he never used the Peanuts name in any of the previous movies or in any of the specials it just goes to show you that there's alot to be found in a name in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
This film is also the first Peanuts film not to have involvement from Peanuts creator the late Charles M. Schulz. As such you'd expect the writing to suffer because of it and yet it doesn't it retains the exact same charm and humour that was found all over the previous specials and movies and this is due to the fact that Schulz's son and grand son not only co-wrote the script to this film but that they also helped to produce this film just to make sure that Charles M. Schulz's legacy was withheld in this film and that will always be a very good thing indeed in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
I'm not going to lie and say that this film is perfect because it's not since there are a few things that I personally didn't like about this film. The first of which being that they let Charlie Brown "win" which I know is a small thing but the whole thing with Charlie Brown is that he's always the underdog and even tho you want to see him succeed he never does and the other thing that I didn't like about this film is the fact Snoopy takes up way to much screen time which again is a small thing but it's taking time away from the other characters that are in this very movie in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour an twenty eight minuets and forty three seconds. Which was in all honesty the absolutely perfect amount of running time for a film that's like this one to last since this film pretty much doesn't have a story to begin with and so there's not really any kind of reason for this film to last any longer then what it already does and the fact that the filmmakers managed to get this long out of it is a miracle upon itself in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
So now then since this film is a comedy film after all that means that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film and well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With this film having alot of really funny moments of course there are some the classic Peanuts jokes in this film but there are also alot of new jokes as well and it's that mixture of the old and the new that help to make this films jokes feel all the more timeless in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Overall this film is a love letter to not only the Peanuts fanbase and the Peanuts fans but to the Peanuts franchise as a whole and that love for this franchise and for these characters really does shine through in this very film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 9.5 out of 10 from me.
Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from IMP Awards . Com and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this very / particular / exact film being Google Images since alot of the images that are from this film and that are currently still indeed up on Google Images are all fairly freaking high in quality and as well as being fairly freaking high in definition.
