Avengers: Age Of Ultron Film Review
Marvel fans it's been a very long time since I last did a review of an Avengers movie and with the new Doctor Strange movie being out and doing very well at the box office. So I thought that i'd take a look at the film that just so happens to feature one of the main characters from the new Doctor Strange movie and so then join me as I review the film that introduced the mainstream audience to the character of Wanda Maximoff with the film in question being called simply just "Avengers: Age Of Ultron" enjoy.
The plot of this film is the Avengers have to stop an evil robot from destroying all of humanity a robot which Tony Stark himself helped to create. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good with this films plot being genuinely quite engaging in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Starring in this film is Robert Downey, Jr. as Tony Stark / Iron Man , Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner / Hulk. Also starring in this film is Chris Evans as Steve Rogers / Captain America , Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow , Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton / Hawkeye , Don Cheadle as James Rhodes / War Machine , Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Pietro Maximoff / Quicksilver , Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch and Paul Bettany as Vision and J.A.R.V.I.S.
Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With all of the actors and actresses that you expect good performances from truly delivering in this film and newcomers to the MCU like Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen really holding their freaking own when it comes to acting with the MCU veterans in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Doing the CGI for this film is Industrial Light & Magic , Virtuos , Double Negative , Trixter , Method Studios , Lola Visual Effects , Animal Logic , Framestore , Cantina Creative , Soho VFX , Luma Pictures , RISE Visual Effects Studios , Zoic Studios , Blur Studio , Secret Lab , BlackGinger , Capital T , Crafty Apes and Technicolor Creative Services VFX. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was really good for the most part since even tho Ultron and Hulk look good there still some very dodgy looking CGI effects to be found in this film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
For some strange reason there's romance subplot between Bruce Banner and Natasha Romanoff which is not only pointless in the context of this film but it's also something that really wasn't needed either. Since both of these characters in the previous movie didn't show any kind of attraction towards each other and so showing them in a romance in this film seems really out of place and not only that but it was something that really wasn't needed in this film since you could have had them just be friends and all of their scenes together would play out the exact same way in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Marvel doesn't really have a good track record when it comes to creating villains for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Which is something that is very sadly still the case not only for this film but for a lot of the Marvel Cinematic Universe films and TV shows which is a shame because when they get it right we get characters like Loki and Thanos but when they get wrong we get characters like Ultron who just isn't that threatening nor is he that scary as a villain and so he just comes of as being a badly done villain character in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
This film is the first film in which we see the tragedy that is Wanda's story come into play since we find out that she's not only lost her parents at a very young age but she also looses her brother as well. This is the start of her turn towards being evil for me since even tho we see her doing very heroic things in the film we also get to see her torture people just for the sake of it and that was with her brother being there to hold her back and now with her brother gone the next she looses someone she could now kill them because that's how dark and how tragic of a story hers is in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Now then while I cannot for the life of me remember whatever this films grand total running time even was I do know that for a fact that this film has / had an exact grand total running time of roughly two hours and twenty one minuets. Which even tho that's pretty the bog standard running for a Marvel Cinematic Universe movie it is still a bit of lone time for this film and as such you very easily could have cut at least ten minuets out of the film and nothing that's actually important to the films plot would have been lost in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
So now then since this film is an action film that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film and well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With all of this films set pieces being really well done even if they do sometimes last a tad bit to long tho which only results in those action set pieces coming across as boring in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Overall this film was a bit of a downgrade when compared to the first Avengers movie but I wouldn't go as far as to as to say that this film is the black sheep of the Marvel Cinematic Universe tho since that honor goes to Captain Marvel in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 7.5 out of 10 from me.
Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Marvel Cinematic Universe fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this very / particular / exact film being obviously the official Marvel Cinematic Universe fandom wiki page since alot of the images that are from this film and that are currently still indeed up on the official Marvel Cinematic Universe fandom wiki page are all fairly freaking high in quality and as well as being fairly freaking high in definition.
