Black Widow Film Review

 

Marvel fans it's been a good few months since I last spoke about a movie that's set within the confides of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As such I thought that now was about right to delve back into this world that so many of us love oh so very much and so then join me as I review the film that actually serves as the sending off film for one the best actresses in the MCU with the film in question being called simply just "Black Widow" enjoy.

The plot of this film is Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow goes on a mission to seek out and destroy the red room once and for all but in order to succeed she at first needs to gain the help from her long and forgotten about family. Now then in terms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad granted this films plotline isn't as good as other Marvel Cinematic Universe films it's still a good plotline nonetheless in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is one of this films producers Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow and Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova. Also starring in this film is Rachel Weisz as Melina Vostokoff , David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov / Red Guardian , Ray Winstone as General Dreykov , O-T Fagbenle as Rick Mason , William Hurt as Secretary Thaddeus Ross and Olga Kurylenko as Antonia Dreykov / Taskmaster.

Now then as for what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. Altho tho Ray Winstones Russian accent is perhaps one of the worst things in this very film because of the fact that it's that bad of an accent in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Doing the CGI for this film is Industrial Light & Magic , SSVFX , Stereo D , Virtuos , Digital Domain , Weta Digital , Trixter , Scanline VFX , Lola Visual Effects , Cinesite , Rising Sun Pictures , Perception , Mammal Studios , Capital T , Cantina Creative and Exceptional Minds. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really freaking which isn't really a surprise given the VFX companies that are actually involved with the making on this film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then something that I found to be truly shocking is that it seems to me that Natasha's favourite seems to be Moonraker. Which don't get me wrong is a perfectly serviceable Sir Roger Moore James Bond film but surely something like The Spy Who Loved Me or even say either Live And Let Die or perhaps The Man With The Golden Gun would have been more up her alley in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

One of this films many problems for me at least is the fact that this film is a prequel film with one of the characters whom we know appears in a later. Which means that we already know how this film is going to be turning out simply because of the fact that this one character appears in the later Marvel Cinematic Universe which is why I strongly believe that this film should have been made and thus released much earlier then what it is since then you could have all of that tension and drama that a film like this deserves to have in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Another one of this films problems is the fact that they treated Taskmaster so freaking badly in this film since they turned a character whom should have been easy to writer and a character that's full to the brim or personality and instead turned this character into somebody whom has as much personality as a blank of wood. Which if this character was just a one off character whom only appeared in one or two scenes that wouldn't have been an issue at all but nope this is a key supporting character and she's not only given very little to actually do in the film but she had no personality and her backstory is just as weak and as predictable as you'd think that it would be in my freaking personal opinions anyways / at least.

Now then this film had / has an exact grand total running time of exactly two hours and thirteen minuets and forty six seconds. Which yeah is pretty much the bog standard running time for any film that's set within the confides of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and even tho this film does have some rather good pacing I do feel that this film should have at least have been fifteen minuets longer then what it actually is / was in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then since this film is an action film after all that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film and well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that freaking bad. The issue is however that it's not that good either since they make it very clear when they are using CGI doubles for certain characters and that is something that really did effect the overall quality of this films action scenes in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this film was a lot better then what I remember it being however at the same time it's quite clearly not the best Marvel Cinematic Universe film in my freaking personal opinions anyways / at least. Now i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review which means that this very film erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 7.5 out of 10 from me.
