Uncharted Film SPOILER FREE Film Review

 

Video games fans for as long as there have been video games there have always been video game movies and sadly alot of those video game movies have been pretty freaking bad. However that all started around the mid 2010's with video games actually being mostly good well now then there is a new video game movie out and well you just know that I was going to be taking a look at this film and so then join me as I give you all my SPOILER FREE review of the film that is basically Indiana Jones but for kids with the film in question being called simply just "Uncharted" enjoy.

The plot of this film is two treasure hunters go in search of the greatest piece of treasure that has never been found but there also some bad guys whom also want that exact same piece of treasure for there own nefarious gain. Now then in terms of what I in all honesty thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty pretty freaking generic with this plotline just being a paint by numbers action film plotline in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Tom Holland as Nathan Drake , Mark Wahlberg as Victor Sullivan and Antonio Banderas as Santiago Moncada. Also starring in this film is Sophia Ali as Chloe Frazer , Tati Gabrielle as Braddock , Steven Waddington as The Scotsman , Pingi Moli as Hugo , Georgia Goodman as Sister Bernadette , Joseph Balderrama as Carlos , Serena Posadino as Goldie , Alana Boden as Zoe and Pilou Asbæk as Gage.

Now then in terms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very was in all honesty fairly freaking bad. Which not that these actors and actresses are bad performers far freaking it but the film just doesn't use these actors and actresses to there fullest potential and that really does harm the overall quality of the acting that's featured / resented to us in this very film in my freaking personal opinions anyways / at least.

Doing the CGI for this film is Double Negative , Instinctual VFX , RISE Visual Effects Studios and Savage Visual Effects. Now then in terms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was is all honesty that bad but that's also the issue as well because this film CGI weren't that good either in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then this film is for me at least like the 2018 Tomb Raider movie in that it features a younger version of the main character but it still calls the movie by it's far more recognisable name. However the difference between the two is the 2018 Tomb Raider movie was actually adapting the 2013 game of the same name where is this film is just being called Uncharted in order to attract people due its freaking name recognition alone in my freaking personal opinions anyways / at least.

So now then this is film is of course based upon the 2007 game Uncharted: Drake's Fortune however tho for some weird reason this film acts as a prequel to that game. Which makes this film seem pointless as even anybody whom hasn't played the games but has heard of them will know that these characters are now going to make it out alive and as such I really do feel that the film makers behind this film should have just made a direct adaptation of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune since then you could at least have the casual mainstream audience wondering if the characters are going to make it out of this film alive or not in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then since i've never even played any of the games I cannot tell you if this film is good representation of what the games are about and as such my thoughts on this film are being strictly based on this and this film only. With all of that being said however this film comes across as a child version of the Indiana Jones franchise which would be fine if this film was any good but sadly just isn't that good of a film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then this film has / had a grand total running time of exactly one hour and forty three minuets and six seconds. Which i'm not going to lie helps make this film feel alot freaking longer then what it actually is which is a shame because when this film does want to be good it can be a pretty entertaining film but sadly this film running time does absolutely nothing to help out this film what so freaking ever in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then this film is an action film after all that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured presented to us in this very film and well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally personally thought / felt that the actual action thats actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. Heck the action that we do get in this very freaking film was the most entertaing part of this film it was that damned good in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall while this film is quite clearly not as bad the earlier video game movies of yesteryear this film is still quite a bad film and it's a film that I can quite easily see all of it's stars scrubbing of off all of there resumes because it's that damned bad in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that mean that this very freaking film erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 5 out of 10 from me.
