Solo: A Star Wars Story Film Review
Star Wars fans since 2015 we have seen an explosion in the output of Star Wars and sadly not all of it is remembered or even memorable. Which brings me to the film that i'm about to review for you all today since this film is most probably the most forgotten piece of live action Star Wars film media in the modern age anyways and so then join me as i review the film that lets face it alot of forgot was even a thing with the film in question being called simply just "Solo: A Star Wars Story" enjoy.
The plot of this film is a very young Han Solo is forced to team up with an old love interest and a new friend in order to complete a job for a mob boss. Now then in terms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this in this film was at best OK which is me being very kind because the plot of this film is also really forgettable as all heck in my freaking personal opinions anyways / at least.
Starring in this film is Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo , Woody Harrelson as Tobias Beckett and Emilia Clarke as Qi'ra. Also starring in this film is Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian , Thandiwe Newton as Val , Phoebe Waller-Bridge as The Voice Of L3-37 , Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca , Erin Kellyman as Enfys Nest , Jon Favreau as The Voice Of Rio Durant , Linda Hunt as The Voice Of Lady Proxima and Paul Bettany as Dryden Vos.
Now then in terms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty good good. Which considering how troubled this films production was the fact that all of this films actors and actresses still managed to turn in some really freaking good performances in this film is a well and truly good thing indeed in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Doing the CGI for this film is Industrial Light & Magic , Hybride Technologies , Jellyfish Pictures , Raynault VFX , Tippett Studio , Virtuos , Exceptional Minds , Lola Visual Effects , Stereo D and BOT VFX. Now then in terms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this film very film was in all honesty really freaking which is something that really shouldn't come as an absolute surprise to absolutely anybody whatsoever as the Star Wars films have always had some really good CGI effects in them and so then it only makes sense this film would also have some really freaking CGI effects in it as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Now then I think that we can now officially all agree that this film is quite easily one of the worst Star Wars prequels films ever made thus far. Not just because of the fact that it's a bad film but also because all of the wasted potential that this film had like it would have been super freaking easy for this film to be good if it only it was in the hands of a pair of directors who had a passion for this franchise and a love for this character oh wait it was until they got fired for literally no reason whatsoever and so then all of the potential that this film had got flushed down the drain by Disney and by Lucasfilm themselves in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
So now then I actually don't blame director Ron Howard for how badly this film turned out since he was left with a next to impossible task. However tho this film does what a lot of bad prequel films do and that's feature characters that we know to be above in later installments this is something that doesn't work because we know that these characters are going to make it out alive because we've seen them later on in there lives and so any and all tension that this film could or even should have had is gone because of the freaking fact that one pure and freaking simple fact in my freaking personal opinions anyways / at least.
So now then I would be amiss if I didn't talk about this films lack of marketing because there was next to nothing coming from this film from a marketing standpoint. Which is partly way this film flopped hard and at the box office and actually lost Disney and Lucasfilm a ton of money I firmly and strongly do believe that if this film had a much better marketing team behind then this film could have actually made some decent money at the box office but for some strange reason Disney and Lucasfilm chose to hardly promote this film and it backfired on them in a massive freaking way in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly two hours and fourteen minuets and forty six seconds. Which for this film is oddly kind of on the short side of things since there's alot about Han's backstory that you could cover in this film but because of this films really freaking short running time alot of it is either skipped over completely or just isn't mentioned at all which for an originals type of film isn't a good thing whatsoever in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
So now then since this film is an action film that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film and well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this film was in all honesty simply just OK at best. I say this simply because alot of the time you can't actually make out what's actually going in this films many freaking action sequences and so you just end up being dazed and confused as to what you've just seen and as to what's actually going on in the film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Overall it's quite easy to see as to why alot of Star Wars either don't talk about this film or have just straight up forgotten about this film even being a thing but sadly this film is a film that did indeed happen and it's a not a good case for all of the Disney era Star Wars fan to try and prove as to why the Disney era of Star Wars films are genuinely great films in my freaking personal opinions anyways / at least. Now i've talked about all of the good and as well all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film erns itself a grand score of exactly a 6.5 out of 10 from me.
Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Star Wars fandom wiki page and the official Disney fandom wiki page. With my personally preferred website to use to get the images that I used from this film being the official Star Wars Wars fandom wiki page this is simply due to the fact that all of the images that are featured / presented to us and are on the official Star Wars fandom wiki page are all fairly freaking high in freaking quality and as well as being fairly freaking high in definition in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
