The Addams Family 2 2021 Film SPOILER FREE!!!!!!!!!! Film Review

 

Ladies and gentlemen people said that the 2019 film The Addams Family was a terrible film well I think that i've found a film that's worse then that film could ever even hope to be. This is simply because this film get's so much wrong about the characters that it's actually unreal about how much this film gets wrong about the actual The Addams Family and join me as I review the film that has perhaps the laziest film title of 2021 with the freaking film itself being called simply just "The Addams Family 2" enjoy.

The plot of this film Gomez and Morticia are feeling that Wednesday and Pugsley are growing up to fast and so Gomez organises a family road fully unaware that this film road trip could very well split the The Addams Family apart forever all due to scientist who will do whatever it takes to get there hands on a certain member of the The Addams Family. Now then in terms of what I thought about the plot of this very film in all honesty I in all honesty thought that the plot of this very film was really freaking and was incredibly lazy among many other things which should never even be close to being the case for a film that's starring or even about the The Addams Family in my freaking opinion anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Oscar Isaac as Gomez Addams , Charlize Theron as Morticia Addams and Chloë Grace Moretz as Wednesday Addams. Also starring in this film is Nick Kroll as Uncle Fester , Javon Walton as Pugsley Addams , Bette Midler as Grandmama Addams , this film co-director Conrad Vernon as Lurch and as The Spirit Who Haunts The Addams' House , Snoop Dogg as Cousin Itt , Bill Hader as Cyrus Strange , Wallace Shawn as Mr. Mustela , Ted Evans as Pongo , Mary Faber as Miss Lurleen , Texas Lady , Pageant Lady and as a PA and anime voice acting legend in the making Cherami Leigh as Ophelia.

Now then as for what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty thought that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty OK at best. This is of no fault of the actors and actresses that are appearing in / starring in this very film but it's rather due to the fact the script for this film is so bad and that the writing for each of the characters is so bad that none of the actors and actresses that are appearing in / starring in this very film can make this script work and that affects the overall quality of the acting that's in this very film in my freaking opinion anyways / at least.

Doing the animation for this film is Cinesite Animation , Sparx* Vietnam and Sparx* just like with the first film this film is very freaking visually stunning and this film does infact have some really freaking solid animation within it. Now then in terms of what I personally thought / felt about the animation that's featured / presented to us in this very film in all honesty I in all honesty thought / felt that the animation that's featured / presented to us in this very film was the best part of this film which isn't much to say since the animation that's in this film is freaking OK at best in my freaking opinion anyways / at least.

Now then it's not unusual for an adaptation of something to borrow elements from previous adaptations of whatever IP your adapting. However those other adaptations usually pick things from actually good adaptations where as this film borrows it's main idea from the 1973 Hanna-Barbara animated TV The Addams Family which isn't as fondly remembered by fans of The Addams Family and so why the makers of this film chose borrow elements from that TV show just goes to show you that this film is going to be freaking bad in my opinion anyways / at least.

On top of things this film also gave me major Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation vibes simply due to the premise alone and when your film is making me think of another film which i've not even seen at all then you know that your film is going to be in some trouble. I honestly have no idea why the makers of this film thought that having the The Addams Family go on a family vacation would have worked because it was already proved that it's an idea that doesn't really work out all that well in my opinion anyways / at least.

Now then for some strange reason the makers of not only this film but the previous animated The Addams Family film seem to really freaking love the character of Cousin Itt. Which is just weird because they do nothing with the character and yet they treat him like he's this big rockstar which is just plain weird and just plain stupid because of the fact that Cousin Itt isn't that well known of a character and so treating him like this just comes across as being odd in my opinion anyways / at least.

So now then this film has / had a grand total running time of exactly one hour and thirty two minuets and forty three seconds and well if i'm being well and truly and very freaking honest here people this film really didn't need to be as long as it was at all in my opinion anyways / at least. Since you very freaking easily could have told this films exact story in well under one hour and fifteen minuets and heck having the film come in at well under one hour and fifteen minuets would make the film alot less painful to watch for us the audience / viewers in my opinion anyways / at least.

Now then since this film is a comedy film after all that means that I have to actually talk about the actual jokes that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film and well in all honesty I in all honesty think / feel that the actual jokes that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film are like the rest of this film in that the jokes that are featured / presented to us in this very film are OK at best. I honestly laughed out loud once or even perhaps even twice during this entire movie at a scene that in this movie / film that wasn't even meant to be funny because that's how bad the actual jokes that in this very film / movie in my opinion anyways / at least.

Overall if you hated the 2019 animated the The Addams Family film then you'll hate this one as well because it's alot more of the exact same thing and if your like me and actually found the 2019 animated the The Addams Family to be somewhat enjoyable then prepared to be let down and you to will hate this film quite a freaking lot in my opinion anyways / at least. Now i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this film gets/ earns itself a grand old score of exactly a 5 out of 10 from me.
