Die Hard Film Review

Film fans there are alot of films out there that i've only seen bits and pieces of and well the film that im about to review for you all today is one of those films. There really is nothing more that I can actually say about this film because anything that I could say to introduce the film that i'm about to review for you all today because this film is so well known and so join me as I review the film that many myself included say is the best / greatest Christmas movie of all time with the film in question being called simply just "Die Hard" enjoy.

The plot of this film is when he is visiting his estranged wife in Los Angeles on Christmas Eva New York City Police Department detective John McClane has to defeat twelve terrorists who have taken over the building where his wife is currently working and John McClane has to save the day and save his wife and save his marriage before it's far two late. Now then in terms of what I personally thought about the plot of this film in all honesty I personally thought that the plot of this film was so freaking good with the concept alone being very interesting and it really does help that the plot of this film is also very intriguing and the plot of this film also does a very good job of keeping you invested all throughout the film.

Starring in this / the film is Bruce Willis as John McClane , the late and always great Alan Rickman as Hans Gruber. Also starring in this film is Alexander Godunov as Karl , Bonnie Bedelia as Holly Gennero-McClane , Reginald VelJohnson as Al Powell , Paul Gleason as Dwayne T. Robinson , De'voreaux White as Argyle , William Atherton as Richard Thornburg , Clarence Gilyard as Theo , Hart Bochner as Harry Ellis and James Shigeta as Joseph Yoshinobu Takagi.

As for what I thought about the acting that's featured / presented to us in this film in all honesty I thought that the acting that's featured / presented to us in this film was really freaking good. With all of the characters in this film being really well cast and what helps the acting in this film is the fact alot of the actors that are starring in this film have alot of charisma which is especially true for Alan Rickman who is simply a joy to watch in this film.

Now then incase there are some of you who don't know this but Die Hard is actually considered to be a Christmas movie. Which means that you can watch this movie around the Christmas holidays and it would perfectly ok for you to do so d honestly i'm shocked that movie studios don't make Christmas movies like this because when they are done right they can really freaking good but when they are done bad we get Die Hard 5 aka A Good Day To Die Hard but instead hollywood is more interested in doing safe and marketable Christmas movies.

I have to admit that I really like the idea of having one man trapped in a building with a bunch if terrorists who have cut of pretty all commination to the outside world. Since it now means that are hero character has to think on his or her own feet and that every single fight that he or she gets into could be their last fight because the very idea of this film means that our hero character cannot get any medical help from the outside and so there's a very real chance that he or she could die the second that they turn any corner in the building that are trapped in.

Now then i've said some pretty positive things about this film thus far and trust me i'll be saying even more positive things about this film further / later on in this review. However there is one thing that I personally didn't like about this film and that's the fact that alot of the characters that are appearing in this film aren't really well written with alot of the characters just coming as one dimensional characters which is a shame because when we do get a well written character like John McClane or even Hans Gruber for example it really does show but that's just what I think anyways and that's just in my very humble and as well as being in my very honest opinion anyways.

One of the characters who suffers from bad writing is the character of Sergeant Al Powell who despite having a story arc in this film the character doesn't really have that much of a personality. Granted the situation that they are in would make it pretty hard for anyone to show of what kind of personality that they have but at the same time but at the same time this character is perhaps the biggest minor character in the film and so some thought should have gone into what his personality actually is.

This film has a grand total running time of two hours and twelve minuets and eight seconds and well I personally thought / felt that this running time was a bit on the long side for this film. Since even tho there is more then enough story to cover this running time it's the pacing of this film that makes this film feel alot longer then it actually and as such I honestly do feel that you could have told the exact same plot of this film and done so in well under two hours.

Now then boys and girls since this film is an action film / movie after all that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's featured / presented to us in this film and if i'm being really freaking honest here I really loved the action that's featured / presented to us in this movie. Since the action in this movie is just so freaking cool and Bruce Willis just looks like such a bada*s in all of this films action scenes plus all of the actions scenes in this film are so freaking cool and all of the action in this film are also so freaking bada*s.

Overall this is such a good film and it's one that i'm glad to have seen all the way through for the first time and while yes there are some bad things in this film / about this film those bad things are vastly out done by the good things that are in this film. Now then since i've talked about all of the good things that are in this film and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review this film gets an 8.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I got all of the images that I used in this very review well then boys and girls I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Die Hard fandom wiki page and from Google Images. With my personal preferred website to use to get images from this film being Google Images since alot of the images that I personally found that are up on Google Images are all fairly high quality and as well as being fairly high definition.
