Captain America: Civil War Film Review

Marvel fans there are alot of films set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that I not only haven't reviewed but have also not seen in a long time. As such if all goes according to plan and I can't think of anything else to review I thought that I might review a couple of films set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe just because i'm not only a fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe but also because some of the film sets in the Marvel Cinematic Universe are genuinely really good films and so join me as I review one of those genuinely really good Marvel Cinematic Universe film with the film itself being called simply "Captain America: Civil War" enjoy.

The plot of this film is after an accident in the fictional city of Largos The Avengers are ordered to sign an agreement that promises that The Avengers won't act unless they needed and that very agreement splits the team in half with half agreeing with Steve and not signing and half agreeing with Tony and signing all the meanwhile a new threat is one the lurks on the horizon and that threat promises to end everything that both Tony and Steve hold dear. In terms of what I thought about the plot of this film in all honesty plot to this film was really freaking good but at the same time this plot to to epic for a captain America as such I feel that this plot would have worked better as the plot for an Avengers movie in my opinion.

Starring in the film is Chris Evans as Steve Rogers / Captain America and Robert Downey, Jr. as Tony Stark / Iron Man. Also starring in this film is Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow , Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier , Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson / Falcon , Don Cheadle as James Rhodes / War Machine , Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton / Hawkeye , Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa / Black Panther , Paul Bettany as Vision , Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch , Paul Rudd as Scott Lang / Ant-Man , Emily VanCamp as Agent Sharon Carter , Tom Holland as Peter Parker / Spider-Man and Daniel Brühl as Helmut Zemo.

As for what I thought about the acting in that's in this film in all honesty the acting in this film is really freaking good. Which shouldn't come as a surprise since barring a few actors alot of the actors in this film have been playing these characters and so of course those actors would know what kind of performance would work best for that character but what was surprising is the fact that the newer cast members also seems to have a very good grip on there characters and so just like the returning actors the newer cast members also have a good feeling as to what performance would only best suit the scenes that they currently what performance also best suit there respective characters as well in my honest and humble opinion.

Doing the CGI for this film are Industrial Light & Magic , Base FX , Virtuos , Method Studios Trixter , RISE Visual Effects Studios, Double Negative , Luma Pictures , Lola Visual Effects , Cinesite , Cantina Creative , Sarofsky , Animal Logic , Crafty Apes , Image Engine Design , Technicolor Creative Services VFX and Capital T. As for for what I thought about the CGI effects that are in this film in my opinion the CGI effects in this film were at best just above average since I saw nothing at least from the CGI effects side of things that really stood and the effects that looked good in previous Marvel Cinematic Universe films like for example the iron suits / armour still good but you can't really improve upon those and the rest of the CGI in this film is like I said average at best in my opinion.

This film is notable for introducing the characters of Peter Parker / Spider-Man (Tom Holland) and T'Challa (the late Chadwick Boseman) to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I have to say that it was a good call bringing these characters into the Marvel Cinematic Universe in this film since it makes the the fight between all of The Avengers seem alot bigger since now there are other superheroes outside of The Avengers getting involved.

Altho I do feel that they did kind of waste Spider-man in this film since he's only in the film for three scenes really with one f them being his introductory scenes and the other being a post credits scene. Heck you could have removed Spider-Man from the film entirely and you'd loose nothing at all because every single scenes would play out the exact same way and as such I have to wonder why the makers of this film chose to include Spider-man at all since he's given nothing to do really after that big airport battle scene.

This film has a running time of two hours and twenty seven minuets and forty seven seconds which for this kind of epic story seems about right. If i'm being honest I personally wouldn't change anything about the running time to this film simply because this film has more then enough story to cover that running time and it helps that the film really does have some good pacing ad the fact that the film really does fly by in my opinion

Now then let's talk about the villain of the film of the film who is Helmut Zemo and is of cause played by Daniel Brühl. In my opinion Helmut Zemo is a weak villain simply because we don't really get to know what his plan or his end goal is and even tho he is given a backstory that ties him into Avengers: Age Of Ultron he does tell us what his plan is and as such it made if hard for me personally to make any kind of connection to him.

Now then boys and girls since this is an action film that does mean that I have to talk about the action that's in the actual film itself. If i'm being honest the action in this film is really freaking good with the action making great use of practical and CGI effects and I think that it goes without saying but the best action sequence in the whole film in my opinion at least is the airport battle scene just because it's so cool seeing all of The Avengers fighting each other.

Overall this was a really good and it was a good end to the Captain America series of films but with that being said this film isn't perfect. Since like with all of the good things in this film i've discussed both the good and the bad things about this film in this very review and as such this film gets a 7.5 out of from me , and as for where I got the image that I used in this review well I got the images that I used in this review from the official marvel Cinematic Universe fandom wiki page and nowhere else and since I only went to the official Marvel Cinematic Universe fandom wiki page for the images that I used in this very review I have no choice but to recommend that you guys use the official Marvel Cinematic Universe fandom wiki age if you want to use any image from not just this film but from anything to do with the Marvel Cinematic Universe and it helps that all of the images on the Marvel Cinematic Universe fandom wiki page are all really freaking high definition.
