Avengers Grimm Review

You know with a certain movie with the word Avengers in it's title I thought i'd talk about another movie with that same word and no i'm not talking about the 1998 movie The Avengers this movie has the same concept as Marvel's The Avengers so here is my review of Avengers Grimm.

The "plot" of this "movie" is a bunch of fairy tail princesses get together and fight Rumpelstiltskin in modern day LA. Yeah I put both the words plot and movie in comers because there really isn't a plot outside of that set up and i'm not even sure you can call this a movie I will say however that the set up is pretty fun but the movie does nothing fun with it.

Starring in this is Elizabeth Peterson as Red , Rileah Vanderbilt as Rapunzel , Marah Fairclough as Sleeping Beauty , Milynn Sarley as Cinderella , Lauren Parkinson as Snow White , Kimo Leopoldo as The Wolf , Lou Ferrigno as Iron John and Casper Van Dien as Rumpelstiltskin. 

It's really telling when the only two actors trying there best are Casper Van Dien and Lou Ferrigno two of the worst actors and yet in this movie they are the only ones trying the rest of the cast just give really forgettable performances which shouldn't really be the case because there playing iconic characters so that should really drive them to give a better performance.

As you could no doubt tell by the font used for this movies poster this was a film made by the kings of bad movies The Asylum and this movie was released around the same time as Age Of Ultron and is thus one of their "Mockbusters" and I have to say this film gets so much wrong both with the characters and just in general it really is hard to believe.

One of the things this film gets wrong is it takes place in modern day LA which they did to save on production costs but just imagine how much more fun this movie could have been if it was set in te world of the fairy tails if having a bunch of fairy tail characters coming to together is your concept then at least take full advantage of it and go nuts with that set up.

Another one of the things that the film got wrong was the character of Snow White who's basically playing the Nick Fury / Tony Stark role they made her a cold hearted b***h in this movie i'm not gonna sugarcoat it if anything she was the most unlikable character in this movie and she's meant to be the hero of the film.

If you don't even make one of your main heroes even the slightest bit likable then why should I care for her when she's put in mortal danger the answer is I shouldn't but for some reason this film thinks that making her a cold hearted person means their likable so i'm expected to care about her in truth the only hero I cared about in the slightest was Red.

I'm trying to think of any kind of positives I can say about this film and the one of the closests things apart from how good Red is and the acting by Casper and Lou is the fact that the actress playing Sleeping Beauty is pretty hot you know your film is bad when one of the few good things about it is one of the actresses is hot.

Now they give most of the princess powers for some unknown reason i'm not making that up they give them powers which they don't explain and some of them do make sense Sleeping Beauty can put people to sleep , Cinderella can make things those two make sense because of their characters backstory what doesn't make sense however is for some reason Snow White has ice powers if your going to give her powers at least give her something like the power to bring people back from the dead not something that makes her look like an Elsa ripoff.

Now this is essentially a superhero movie and that means fight scenes and CGI I honestly thought that the CGI in the film wasn't that bad ok it's not that good but given the fact that this movie was made by The Asylum the same company which is getting ready to release Sharknado 6 then hopefully you'll be kind towards the effects in this movie.

As for the fight scenes i'm not gonna lie they were pretty boring and when they weren't boring the editing was so fast I couldn't make out what was going on movie if you have bad scenes be proud of them don't hide them with lots of cuts let me fall asleep while watching them so then I can complain about them being dull.

Overall this is a bad movie not even so bad it's good like the Sharknado films it's just bad and what's worse is they released a sequel I think given the picture above and the fact this film came out a few weeks ago you can work out what film this is trying to be a cash grab for I give this film a solid 2 out of 10.
