Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle Review

Well then movie fans i've finally seen the movie that alot of people like and for good reason but is it as good as they say it is well lets find out with my review of Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle.

The plot of this movie is a bunch of kids get stuck in a game and have to return a rock that's really all you get in terms of plot and with that plot line the movie still has pacing issues this movies rushes through key plot points alot they story was fine but the pacing really let it down.

Now since this movies main cast use avatars when there in the game i'm only listing the actors who played those avatars and they are The Rock , Jack Black , Kevin Hart , Karen Gillan , Nick Jonas and Bobby Cannavale. Honestly all of the actors give the type of performances you'd expect from them The Rock is just as cool as he always is Karen is fairly solid the one actor that truly surprised me was Jack Black i can't say why because it's a spoiler but when you see it you'll know why.

Since this is an adventure movie i have to say that i actually liked the adventure aspect it reminded me alot of the first three Indiana Jones movies ( the ones which are actually good ) and since this is a video game it's done in what i think is a very campy way and that only made me enjoy it even more.

Even tho the adventure part of the movie reminded me of the early Indiana Jones films the CGI reminded me of the fourth Indiana Jones film that's how bad the effects are in this film i'm not gonna act like the effects in the first film where great because there not but there at least better then the CGI mess in this film.

My god this movie is full of Sony product placement that's really all i have to say on the subject and it got so bad that i kinda wished that the Jumanji game had instead turned into a Playstation 1. Plus for some reason all of the kids are using Sony Smartphones.

The action scenes in this movie i thought were very much like a video game and in this case that's a good thing it was all very over the top like for example when the rock hits someone they don't fall down they fly up really high in the sky or when he throws someone into a pillar they don't bounce of it no no they go right on through it.

I thought that by the trailer this film would have me laughing alot it very sadly didn't in fact most of the best jokes are in the trailer but with that being said there are a few funny moments Jack Blacks entire performance is funny and there's a few adult jokes in there which had me really laughing.

Honestly the thing that made the movie was the fact they play Welcome To The Jungle altho they don't play it when i think they should have done. The score was done by Henry Jackman and it's actually not that bad it's just a shame that there's no soundtrack released for the film because that would have been a treat to listen to.

Overall i'd say that this is a really fun movie but it's got alot of flaws that keep it from being great for me tho the movie gets a 7 out of 10.
