The Disaster Artist Review

Hello there movie people i've talked about alot of movies this year and i think now is the time to talk about the movie that has taken hollywood by storm and that movie is The Disaster Artist so here we go with the review.

The plot of this really cool movie is when Greg Sestero an aspiring film actor meets the weird and mysterious Tommy Wiseau in an acting class they form a unique friendship and travel to Hollywood to make their dreams come true. I loved the plot of this movie it takes a film that most of us are familiar with and puts what happened behind the scenes in the spotlight i know that sounds strange but it's true.

In the cast we have Dave Franco his brother and director James Franco and Seth Rogen among many more. I do have to admit that both James and Dave are pitch perfect in this film i would comment on them having great chemistry but there brothers so that's a given but i can say that the pair do work well together and i'd gladly see more movies with those two any time. Seth and the rest of secondary cast members are also really solid i've chosen not to list them all because i want you to try and guess who else is in this movie and a guarantee you when you find out who's in the movie you'll be just as shocked as me.

Now i wasn't going to mention this in the review but rather when i post my top 5 films list tomorrow but i will say that i'm glad the film had moments where it makes Tommy seem more human as it makes his struggle to get The Room made seem all the more real and it kinda adds some stakes to the film.

Every review of the movie has said that this film has plenty of humor and that is indeed true and i really do wish i could spoil some of the "jokes" but honestly you have to go and see this movie just to fully get them but i can say that there was one joke that had me bursting a gut laughing. With all that praise on the humor i do have to say that not all of the jokes for me at least worked there were scenes that had terrible jokes and they just fell flat.

This film is listed as a drama and for good reason there's a lot of drama going down in this movie and to be frank it worked for this movie and the story they were telling because the truth is alot of drama does happen behind the scenes on every movie and i'm also glad that there are scenes in the movie were they make Tommy seem like a complete douche to the people he worked with.

Now since this movie is based of a book also called The Disaster Artist now it's hard to say if the book is truly accurate because while Tommy's best friend Greg did write the book he also had a another called Tom Bissell writing it as well so it makes me wonder if some of the events in this movie truly happened or not.

Overall i'm so glad i saw this movie and i'm letting you all know right now this will be one my best films list somewhere and i can also say that it doesn't matter if you havn't seen The Room or not (i havn't seen it btw) but i highly recommend you see this movie it scores an 8.5 out of 10 from me.
