She Makes Comics Review
I make it no secret to being a comics fan in fact i try to read most new issues every Wednesday so when i saw this film pop up online i had to watch it so here is my review of She Makes Comics.
This documentary is all about females in the comics industry and the history of women in comics and for me that's an interesting premise because it opens you up to more creators and that means you get to enjoy more works and it's interesting hearing there stories.
Honestly i wish i could give you a complete list of the people who are in this film but the list is so huge it would take me i good few hours just to get through every single name but let's just say the people who are interviewed are not just comic book writers but there's also comic book artists and editors and journalists and many many more and all of them offer up good stories.
Now what i like about this movie is the fact that this film has the nuts to go into the history of females in comics and it opened up my eyes to how large the female fanbase is and that's because it's something that you don't really think of but it's true and there's a lot of female writers and artists.
I've mentioned alot of good things about the film but a few of the things that i personally don't like is the pacing does get a bit of near the end of the film and the fact that it kind of seems like they blame Stan Lee for the rise of the superhero genre and how that meant that they couldn't do the stories they wanted to do to me that just didn't seem fair Stan is a legend and will always be one.
Overall if you want to learn more about females in comics or if your a comic book fan then this is the film for you i give this film a 6.5 out of 10.
