The Boss baby Review

Hello animation fans and former baby's i'm here to bring you a review of a movie that i honestly had no interest in watching until i saw Channel Frederators 107 facts on the movie so here is my review of The Boss Baby.

The plot of this movie is a suit-wearing briefcase-carrying baby pairs up with his seven-year old brother to stop the dastardly plot of the CEO of Puppy Co.To be honest the plot of this movie is very predictable you know how it's going to end when the movie begins and that's not a good thing at all but to the movies credit it has fun with it's plot and by that i mean it doesn't take it self to seriously but i have to mention the film has both good and bad pacing.

The cast for this movie includes Alec Baldwin as The Boss Baby , Miles Christopher Bakshi as Tim Templeton , Tobey Maguire , Steve Buscemi as Francis E. Francis, the CEO of Puppy Co , Jimmy Kimmel as Ted Templeton and Lisa Kudrow as Janice Templeton my god the cast in this film do a great job given what they have to work with Miles i think really has a future in the movie industry if he picks the right roles but in this movie i have to say the best performer is easily without a shadow of a doubt Alec Baldwin it's been a long time since i could truly say that but it's true and it feels like he was having a blast playing this part.

Now since Frozen was a story about two sisters this film is a story about two brothers and it deals with something that almost every older brother has to deal with the arrival of a new baby and how you feel about it and to be honest i'm glad this film chose not ignore it because truth is alot of older brothers do wonder if there's enough love to go round.

For an animated comedy there isn't much in the way of jokes in this movie and the ones that they do have are very hit and miss which is shame because they have great comedic actors who can and have made me laugh but at least they don't have a poop joke.

The animation was shockingly good and i say that because judging from the trailers i wasn't expecting anything good but it was really good all of the mouth movements match and the characters look great. There's a lot of great looking dream sequences with each one both looking and feeling different from the one that came before it the only issue i have with the animation is that it looks to much like a PIXAR movie instead of trying to be it's own thing.

Now i mentioned that alot of the jokes were very hit and miss but the ones that hit were also the ones that were very creative and that's because we see them from both the kids point of view and the adults which i thought was very clever and it's something that i personally havn't seen that much in movies.

The score for this film was done by Steve Mazzaro and the always brilliant Hans Zimmer and i have to say while at times the score was just a typical family movie kind of score when it really kicks into high gear it really gets going and those were the moments that i liked the most.

Overall this is better then Trolls but it's not as good as other Dreamworks Animation movies like i said before this tries to hard to be like PIXAR so much it then doesn't find it's own identity but it's still a good movie so for me this movie is a 6.0 out of 10
