The Jetsons & WWE: Robo-WrestleMania! Review

Hello there movie fans and any fans of The Jetsons it's been a trend as of late to have the superstars of the WWE team up with classic cartoon characters and that trend continues with The Jetsons & WWE: Robo-WrestleMania!

The plot of this movie is The Jetsons take a blast from the past and have WWE superstars stop Big Show from taken over the future. That's really it in terms of plot but for a Jetsons product that's really all you need it's a great simple plot but the movie does have pacing issues at certain points in the movie and that does make the movie feel longer then it is.

The voice cast for this film includes the returning Jeff Bergman as George Jetson and Mr. Spacely , Grey Griffin as Jane Jetson , Trevor Devall as Elroy Jetson , Danica McKellar as Judy Jetson , Frank Welker as Astro , Tress MacNeille as Rosie the Robot and a whole bunch of WWE stars if i'm being honest the performances from the WWE stars was what had my worried when this film was first announced but i'm glad to say that there actually not that bad some of them are little rough round the edges for example being The Big Show and in some parts Alicia Fox but all in all they do an ok job from the family side of things since most of these actors had not played there character before they did a pretty solid job altho i had to admit George and Mr. Spacely started to sound the same to me by the time the movie ended but no one can do what Mel and George O'Hanlon did.

Something else that had me worried when the trailer hit was the animation for some reason all of the characters have been drawn with these really thick lines which i found quite distracting the overall quality of the animation is pretty good but not as good as i think it could be i think that if they made it like the animation style from the TV show it could have had a charm to it but since they chose not to do that it doesn't really standout as much as it should. The designs looked good apart from the thick lines i mean the WWE stars look mostly like they do in real life except they have been exaggerated a bit. For some reason during certain parts of the movie the characters to me looked to much like a cartoon and i found it a tad distracting.

For the first time in Jetsons history The Jetsons have an action sequence and it's honestly not that bad by that i mean it falls down to the bug standard kick and punch but they throw in enough new things that makes it feel fresh and exciting i won't spoil what they add in but what they added reminded me alot of the Power Rangers In Space two part finale (once you see the movie you'll see what i mean) the action i thought was well animated and was generally exciting to see but they do something which you'll see coming a mile away.

Like most Jetsons episodes this movie really isn't that funny i mean they'll throw in a joke that might get a smile out of me every now and then but that would be it the jokes wouldn't make me fall over laughing they would just put a smile on my face for a few seconds and that's it.

Another thing that kinda bugged me about this movie is that Seth Rollins is being portrayed as a heel (bad guy) when right now he is a face (good guy) and it just dates the movie since Seth hasn't been a heel for a few months now i know that animated films take a long time to make but the WWE could have stepped in and told them what they were planning.

Yes they use the classic Jetsons theme and it is freaking awesome to hear when i started this movie i said that if they don't use the theme song then it's a negative against the movie and low and behold a few minuets later they use it not only do they use the theme song but they pair it with there version of The Jetsons intro as well and that was a great nostalgia trip for me the only slight downside is that the theme plays for a tad two long for my personal liking but at least they used it.

Overall this movie honestly wasn't as bad as i thought it would be but it's not as good is i think it could be if your a WWE fan you'll enjoy it if your a Jetsons fan you might like it for me tho this movie is a 6.5 out 10
