Barbie & Kendra Crash Joe Bob's Drive-In Jamboree Film Review
There are some films that you can just tell either right from the trailer or right from the title of the movie that there going to be soe really bad movies. Yet it's because of that that you can then lower down your expectations a little bit and just have fun with the movie when it first comes out and well we have another installment from the franchise that shockingly started with Corona Zombies and since i've reviewed every single one of these movies as and when they first come out you all just knew that I had to review this film the very first chance that I got and so then join me as I review the film that sees Barbie & Kendra go to the drive in with the film in question being called simply just "Barbie & Kendra Crash Joe Bob's Drive-In Jamboree" enjoy.
The plot of this film is airheads and best friends Barbie & Kendra go to the local drive in in the hopes of meeting movie host Joe Bob Briggs and whist there they have to stop an evil busisness woman from destroying the drive in and turning it into a golf course for good. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I im all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad as it is something that's on par with the films in this franchise but with that being said this is still a really bad plot as the plot of this film as ot is with all of the other films as well is really wafer thin with the plot of the film just coming and going as and when it pleases with us the audience being left with a bunch of very short scenes that add nothing to the plot of the film and are just there just to set up bad jokes and not because of the fact that they add anything to the plot of this film with the plot of this film also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Starring in this film is Cody Renee Cameron as Barbie , Robin Sydney as Kendra and John Bloom as Joe Bob Briggs. Also starring in this film is Diana Prince as Darcy , Dave Sheridan as Himself , Ben Killberg as Ticket Dude , Pro Wrestler Laura Guilmette as The Bunny , Pro Wrestler Jesse Guilmette as The Blade , Robin Orourke as A Crewmember , Pristine Edge as Topless Girl 1, Alaina Taylor as Topless Girl 2 and horror legend and Sleepaway Camp star , Terrifier 2 star and Camp Dread star Felissa Rose as Stu Dio.
Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I im all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not bad. However that's also the problem as the acting that's in this film isn't all that good either and that is something that's to to expected at this point at this time as all four of these films havn't really had good acting in them as pretty much all of them have mostly unknown or at the very least little known actors in the mean roles with the films keeping the more experienced actors in minor or supporting roles bad acting in this film is also to be expected as none of these films this film included have never had and will mostly never will have big budgets as there films that are made on the cheap and as a result of that is the fact that it would be foolish to expect good or even great acting from these film with the acting in this film not really being helped by the fact that the script for this film is really bad as it gives none of this this actors absolutely nothing to work with interms of what it is that there respective characters personalities are even meant to be in the first place which is something that really does hurt the overall quality of the acting that's in this very film.
None of these films have had that many big guest stars in them aside from Barbie & Kendra Save The Tiger King but that's really it. With this film perhaps having the most guest stars in it and while those names won't be recognisable to the mainstream audience these films like alot of many Full Moon Features films aren't made with the general audience in mind as there made with a more niche crowd in mind and it's those people that will love all of the guest stars that are in this film as alot of them are just fun to see pop up in the film with perhaps the most fun cameo being from Pro wrestlers Laura Guilmette and Jesse Guilmette who are basically playing this movie obsessed couple who just love going to drive in movie theaters and watching whatever movies are showing at that time which is something that's fun to see add on the fact that they go by there actual wrestling names in this film then you can just straight up tell that that scene was made not only to please the people who love wrestling as they'll know who they are but it will also please people who love to watch weird and obscure movies as well as there doing the exact same thing that those people would most likely also love to be doing as well.
As with the previous films this film does feature a comedic redubbing of two other films this time we get the 1974 Turkish remake of The Exorcist called Seytan and the 1977 film Ruby. Both of which makes sense as both films are supernatural films that deal with the devil and Ruby makes alot of sense as it deals with someone running a drive in theater which in this movie just so happens to be showing Seytan which makes the blending of both films feel naturel where as in previous films it would be kind of obvious when there cutting from one film to the next here it does kind of make sense as what we could be seeing is scenes from the other film being show in the drive in theater and that's really it and yet at the same time it does make it confusing as well as both films do look strikingly similar to each other that it makes it hard to tell if we're watching a scene from Ruby or if we're watching a scene from Seytan this is even with the fact that Ruby has the bigger named cast as it has Carrie actress Piper Laurie in the lead role and Seytan has what only can be described as one of the worst make up effects in film history in it.
For some strange reason even tho Felissa Rose is playing the main villain of this film she hardly appears in the film. With her only appearing in a small handful of scenes and that's really it and that's not enough for us the audience to really get to know her character as while she does has a clear end goal in mind in that she wants to buy the drive in to turn it into a golf course it's still not enough to make her an interesting character nor does it give us the audience a reason to dislike her character either which is a shame as on paper her character should work and indeed it does on the most basic of levels but that's really it and while that might be enough to please a select few it's not enough to make an interesting character which is something that's on brand for these films as the films never really had that interesting villains as even in the first two films the villain only showed up in a few scenes but those two films had the excuse of the fact that it was filmed during a rather difficult time period this film doesn't have that excuse and yet it still doesn't give us an interesting villain as the film is more focused on showing us footage from both Seytan and Ruby and that's really it.
This is an issue that plagues all the film as alot of the films characters don't appear in this film all that much. As even tho he is basically the third lead character in the movie it takes a while for Joe Bob Briggs and Darcy to meet up with Barbie & Kendra and even then there not on the screen for all that long as they only spend a few minuets at the most talking with each other and that's really other with both Joe Bob and Darcy not getting alot of screen time which is a huge issue as he's basically a main character in the movie and heck his name is in the name of the movie and yet the makers of this film don't give him that much to do all because of the fact that the makers of this film put alot more effort into showing us both Seytan and Ruby instead of creating interesting characters in it's own right and as a result of that is the fact that alot of this films characters just come across as being rather one note characters and while granted that is par the course for these films and is something that's to be expected in this film as well it was an issue with those films as well and yet because of the fact that the makers of these films didn't learn there lesson it's still an issue with this film as well.
Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly fifty minuets and forty nine seconds. Which is pretty much the bogstanderd running time for these films with the films running time also being a huge issue with the film as the film really doesn't have alot there interms of pot to really cover that amount of plot to begin with as when you remove all of the move scenes the film would only have the amount of plot to cover about twenty minuets and that's really it and as a result of that is the fact that the movie scenes really do come across as being filler scenes as they add nothing to the actual plot of the film while the running time issue could have been fixed if the makers of this films expanded upon it's plot and gave alot more screen time to it's characters which in turn would allow for the characters to become more fully developed characters and this is something that could have been done and still have shown an edited version of the movie as well but I will admit that this film really does have some really good pacing to it tho.
So now then as this is a comedy that means that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. However that's also the problem as alot of the joes in this film aren't that good as alot of the films jokes come from the redubbing of both of the films and alot of those jokes just don't land as there all jokes that would have been funny and timely a few years ago as alot of them deal with Me Too movement and someones own personal pronouns and yet because we've moved on from alot of those now the jokes that would have been funny just come across as being dated but alot of the jokes outside of the movies are some fairly decent jokes that whilst they won't make anyone laugh out loud they might at the very least manage to put a smile on the faces of the people that liked these movies and that's really it and to be fair if your coming to this movie expecting gut busting jokes then then that's really foolish as the films really haven't had that many funny jokes in alot of them either in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Overall while it is fun to see these two characters back again they are are characters that really should have ended a few years ago with this film not really being all that topical outside of all of the talk about the reboot and remakes and that's really and that's not really enough to justify this film existing in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very film really does earns itself a grand old score of exactly a 2.5 out of 10 from me.
Now then as for where I personally got all pf the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all pf the images that I personally used n this very review from the official Pro Wrestling fandom wiki page , IMP Awards . Com and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images really from this very film being the really great Google Images this is really because of the fact that really all of the images that I really indeed got and really used from Google Images are all really high quality with all the images that are currently up and on the great Google Images really are all being really fairly high in quality and as well as them all really being fairly high in definition.
