Boy Kills World Film Review

With there being alot of films out right now it would be understandable if people forgot or just straight up didn't know about one or two films. With the film that i'm about to review for you all today being a very little known it would be understandable if people didn't know about or just straight up forgot about as it's not being released by a major studio nor does it have that many big name stars starring in it but what it does have is originality and so then join me as I review the film that is the most original action film to be released this year thus far with the film in question being called simply just "Boy Kills World" enjoy.

The plot of this film is when his sister and parents are killed in front of him a young boy grows up seeking revenge on the person that killed them. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot thats actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good with the plot of the film being something that we genuinely haven't seen before as while the idea of someone seeking revenge on someone else is nothing new what makes the plot of this film fresh is the fact that the film just straight up has fun with that plot by having the boy growing up seeking revenge whereas most action films would have him seek his revenge right away and yet by doing something different it makes the plot of the film feel fresh , new and different with the plot of the film also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Bill Skarsgård as Boy and Bob's Burgers star H. Jon Benjamin as The Voice Of Boy. Also starring in this film Jessica Rothe as June 27 , Michelle Dockery as Melanie Van Der Koy , Brett Gelman as Gideon Van Der Koy , Isaiah Mustafa as Benny , Quinn Copeland as Mina , Andrew Koji as Basho , Yayan Ruhian as The Shaman , Sharlto Copley as Glen Van Der Koy and Famke Janssen as Hilda Van Der Koy.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty alot better then what it really had any right to be. As when you see this cast in this kind of film you don't usually think of good acting heck you don't usually think of even passable acting either as that's not something that a film like this one requires and and yet at the exact time tho that's exactly what we get as the acing that's in this film really is so good with the true standout performer being Bill Skarsgård who has to put across so much emotion without saying a single word and and he does so effortlessly with the acting in this film really being helped by the fact that this films script is just so good that all this films cast have to do is just say the lines as they are a written and a good performance will come out of the naturally as that's just good the acting in  this film really is.

Really helping this film standout from all of the other films out there right now is the fact that alot of this films characters are actually likable characters that you want to get to know and that you want to see succeed at the end. With this being something that is kind of a dying art as alot of films nowadays don't really give us likable characters and as a result to see a likable characters in this film really was surprising not only that but alot of this films characters were also really well written as well with alot of them being given fully formed personalities that helps to make the characters feel all the more real then alot of the characters from recently released films with even the films films villains coming across as being likable characters which is al due to the films truly shocking twist ending with the films villains then becoming likable characters when you start to take the films twist ending into account as well and is something that was truly shocking as it's not something that you see coming and when it happens it makes you see the whole film in a whole new different light.

To be frank this film is futuristic version and more darker version of Batman's origin story as the plot of this film is strikingly similar to the origin of Bruce Wayne / Batman. As both characters loose there family and both of them go out seeking revenge on the person that killed them only whereas Bruce Wayne is a millionaire who learned everything that he knew from the best martial arts experts in the world Boy on the other hand is extremely poor and learns his fighting skills from one Shaman and that's really and while that is where the Batman connection really ends it's not hard to see where the two are similar as it's right there in your face and if your going to steal of anything then you might as well as make it one of the more well known backstories in comic book stories really ever made and to this films credit it does add a great twist at the end of the film that really does change the whole thing as well as make you wonder what you saw was actually real or not.

With this film being an action comedy it really does find the balance between being an action and being a comedy film. With the film having alot of really funny moments in the film even more so at the start of the film and it's in the films more comedic scenes that H. Jon Benjamin's voice works really well as he has a voice that is just pitch perfect for this film more sarcastic and dark sense of humor and it's those types pf jokes that work really well and make the film alot more entertaining then what it really is and unlike alot of the more modern Marvel Cinematic Universe films this film knows when to have a comedic moment and not have it undercut a more dramatic moment which means that when the film does have a more comedic moment it is something that is not only needed but also wanted as well as it eases up on the tension that is all throughout this film from the very start of the film but on the flip side is while the film does know when to tell a joke not all of the jokes that the films tells land as alot of them do fall flat but when you hear a good joke in this film you really know about it as it's a really good and painfully funny joke as well.

While the film doers have alot of good things for it one of the many things that it has working against it is the fact that the films villains do come across as being really weak. Which given how the film ends might be the point but at the exact same time the film really does need to make the villains all the more interesting in order to make the twist ending all the more believable and shocking as we the audience don't even get to know what the villains main scheme even is and as a result of that is the fact that they just come across as being evil just for the sake of being evil which doesn't make them that interesting of a character and while the villains characters are fun characters as villains there not that interesting as we don't get to find out all that much about them apart from the fact that there rich and possibly crazy and that's really it and that's not enough to make them interesting nor is it enough to make them memorable as that is something that could quite literally apply to any villain in movie history and is not something that's exclusive to them and as a result o that is the fact that they just become anougher typical set of movie villains and that's really it.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running tie of exactly one hour and forty two minuets and fifty four seconds. Which is pretty much the exact grand total running time that you'd expect a film like this one to have and to this films credit it really does have more then enough there interms of plot to really cover that large amount of running time with the film not really having that much room for filler scenes and as a result of that is the fact that every single scenes in this film is all about either advancing the plot of about advancing the characters and while yes there are scenes that could be seen as filler even those scenes in the grand scheme of things they still play apart in the films plot and still feel needed as if they were to be cut of out of the film then the film would oddly feel incomplete and while the film can't really be any longer as it would risk stretching the plot of the film really even thinner then what it already is if the film really was even little bit longer then it could be used to develop it's villain characters but I will admit that this film really does have some really good pacing to it tho. 

So now then as this is an action film that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With the film having alot of really crazy action sequences in this film all of which make the film alot more entertaining then what it really had any right to be and all of which look like that they fit in perfectly with this films world with the best action sequence really in the whole entire film being the films epic third act just due to how other the top it really gets and really how extreme it gets as well with there being alot of really moments not only in the films final action sequence but also in the film as whole as well of which go a really long way to make the action in this film both seem and look alot more really exciting then what they really had any to be in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this film is so much more better then alot of the more modern and bigger budgeted films out there right now as this film just does it's own thing and isn't afraid to be it's own unique thing and because of that this film comes across as being a really fun film that is so much better then what it really had any to be as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a grad old score of exactly an 8 out of 10 from me.
