Ferris Bueller's Day Off Film Review

There are some films that even tho they defined a generation of young people just haven't been seen by alot of people. With the film that i'm really about to review for you all today being one such a film as even this film is spoofed and referenced all the time in various TV shows it's still really a film that this move lover has yet to see that is really until now and so then join me as I review that makes you wish that you to had a day off with the film in question being called simply just "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" enjoy.

The plot of this film is a teen slacker , his friend and his girlfriend all take the day off school and all try avoid the school's principle and the slackers sister. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad with this film plot being dumb and really rather simple but enjoyably so and as a result of that the plot of the film is just really an absolute joy to sit through as it's a really refreshing plot with the films plot also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Godzilla 1998 star Matthew Broderick as Ferris Bueller and Alan Ruck as Cameron Frye. Also starring in this film is Birds Of Prey star Mia Sara as Sloane Peterson , Dirty Dancing star Jennifer Grey as Jeanie Bueller , Beetlejuice star Jeffrey Jones as Edward "Ed" R. Rooney , Cindy Pickett as Katie Bueller , Elvira: Mistress Of The Dark star Edie McClurg as Grace , Lyman Ward as Tom Bueller , Two And A Half Men star Charlie Sheen as Garth Volbeck , The Mask star Ben Stein as The Economics Teacher , Del Close as The English Teacher , Virginia Capers as Florence Sparrow , Richard Edson as A Garage Attendant , Larry "Flash" Jenkins as The Garage Attendant's Co-Pilot , Kristy Swanson as An Economics Student , Anne Ryan as Shermerite and Jonathan Schmock as Chez Quis Maitre D.

Now then inters of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty alot better then what it really had any right to be. With pretty much all of this films cast members turning in some really good performances which is shocking as this films cast isn't largely made up of actors where you know that your going to get a good performance and yet in this film they all turn in some rather solid performances with this largely being helped by the films script which is just so good that all the cast of the film have to do is just the lines as they are written and a good performance will come out of them naturally.

While Deadpool made breaking the fourth wall popular it was something that pretty much started with this film. With the Ferris character frequently breaking the fourth wall and where as that is something that could become annoying really quickly here because it's used so sparingly all throughout the film it's something that works really well and on top of that is the fact that it also gives us some insight into what he's thinking something which the film doesn't take the time to do in alot of ways and yet because of the fact that the Ferris character talks to the audience alot of the time we get to know him a little bit better and we get to understand what it is that he's feeling quite alot of time with this really proving that breaking the fourth wall can be used for more then telling jokes and winking at the audience which is what alot of the films use this storytelling device and while there's nothing wrong with that sometimes it's better to use it to give us some insight to your characters.

In what is a rather shocking move it turns out that this film could actually exist in the same fictional universe as The Breakfast Club. With both films taking place in the exact same school this is a rather tenuous way to connect the two films as out side of the school name there's nothing to connect the two films but at the same time it is rather fun to imagine to characters from either film meeting one another which really could be a movie in it's own right but at the same time it would be nice if there was a much more stronger link for both films like maybe having them take place in the same town or having one character briefly mention the events of the other film even if it's meant as a joke it would still be something as it would offer a stronger connection or both films and yet it's amazing that the film doesn't do that as then we the audience would be less focused on this film as we'd be waiting for the characters from the other film to show up.

The Ferris Bueller character really is just a bad person as he gets his friend and his girlfriend to go along with his scheme for no reason. Making matters worse is the fact that while Ferris is pretending to be ill his friend Cameron actually is ill and Ferris just ignores this for no reason other then the fact that he wants to do something and yet they both just go along with it and while Ferris does rightfully get called out by Cameron when it does happen Cameron is treated as the bad guy when it reality it's Ferris that's the bad guy as he's the one that's convinced to take the day off school and he's the one that essentially stole the Ferrari and lied to people several times over just so the could have the day off school and do nothing all day and yet the character suffers no consequences for his actions infact he gets praised for doing it this wouldn't be a problem if they showed us Ferris getting found out in some more cases then what we get in the film but they don't instead all we get is one joke sequence where his sister thinks the Principle is a burglar trying to rob there house and that's it and it's not enough and as a result of that there's no reason to like Ferris.

To be frank Ferris isn't the main character of this movie it's Cameron as he's the one that goes through a major character change in this movie. With him going from someone who is just going to follow anybody that tells hi what to do to someone who is willing to stand up for himself even if that includes standing up to his possibly abusive father or his best friend with this being something that we see play out over the course of the film and all of it makes Cameron the main character where as Ferris is like Marty Mcfly from the Back To The Future in that he's never going to be the main character he's just the ringleader telling people what to do and that's really it and that's great for that character as it allows the Ferris character to be more of the jokester of the two while also allowing Cameron to be the more real and down earth of the two with Cameron also being the more likable of the two characters as well as he is willing to do anything for his friends even if he knows that it's the wrong thing to do he would still do it anyway just because he's that likable of a character.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and forty three minuets. Which is a rather solid running time for this film to have as while the film does have more then enough plot to cover that large amount of running time it's plot is also rather thing once you really get down to it and while there's not really alot of fat that could have been trimmed from this film as if you cut down on any scene you'd loose something that's relevant to the films plot it would have been better if this film was cut down to a more manageable one hour and thirty minuets but as there's really nothing that you could cut out it makes it impossible to to get it to that running time without doing some serious harm to the films plot but I will admit that this film really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is a comedy that means that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With this film being laugh out loud funny as that's just how good this film jokes really are with nearly all of them not only landing but also landing hard and even the ones that don't land as hard still manage to get a smile out of people and alot of that comes down to the fact that all pf this films jokes are not only really written and clever but also feel very character driven with them being the types of jokes that these characters really would make and that only makes the jokes even more funnier then what they already with this film being one of the better comedies of the past thirty or even forty years as it's just that funny with all of it's really clever and really funny jokes in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this film is just so good with it being really worth watching for those of us who perhaps haven't seen this film as it really is just all that good of a film that should be watched by alot of people in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that meas that this film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 9 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the mages that I personally used in this very review from IMP Awards . Com and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images this film being Google Images this is because all of the images that I got for this review and that are still of course currently up and really are on the really great Google Images with them all being really fairly high in quality and as well as them all really being fairly high in definition.
